It all started with my nephew lordferae convincing me to sign up for Neopets so we could play Geos on-line. I was on dial-up at the time, so we never actually made it through an entire game. Now he rarely logs on, while I've made friends with other adult gamers through PPT and WGF, learning the thrilling, no-holds-barred game of Werewolf.

I've always enjoyed puzzles and games, and so my favorite parts of Neopets are the plots, Lenny Conundrum, and various games. I wish I'd read the news or ventured on the boards or other forums sooner, especially during the Lost Desert Plot. But if I'm going to play games on-line, I feel I may as well get something out of it... why not Neopoints?

I love the beach (especially in the summertime), so much so that I've dedicated my gallery to it. I still need a few (okay, many) items to "complete" it, but I'm working on it slowly but surely... Besides my gallery, I'm also working on painting my pets (Síofra and Peadar have recently been painted their ideal colors, and once she's trained up a bit more, Gráinne will become an Island Mynci) and collecting avatars. I got halfway through creating my Neopian Adventure before starting grad school (in epidemiology); I hope to finish it eventually -- it promises to be epic.

I use Neopets for relaxation more than socializing, so I don't accept Neofriend requests from strangers, and I'm not interested in joining a guild (anyone sending me either without any prior contact with me will be blocked). However, I will respond to most neomails.
