My latest obsession is collecting World Challenge Pieces. My games are Freaky Factory, Faerie Bubbles, and Gadgadsgame right now.
Sewage Surfer
How did I get such a great score on Sewage Surfer? There was some kind of reset or site glitch around the end of June. I was on Lvl 49 at the time with a score of 28k+; the next time I went to play, the game was at level one, but with my score still in place. A score of 62k+ is impossible in a normal game. The best score I remember seeing prior to this glitch was around 36k. Any score that you see over that is likely not due to the player's skill, but how lucky they were in getting the glitch in the first place and what their score was when they got the glitch.
Personally, I think the glitch should be found and eliminated, the SS scores should be re-set and the level for Grand Master be lowered to something that's actually obtainable (32k seems right to me, usually only the best players can get that). Right now, the only people who can be Grand Masters are people who have gotten glitch games and, frankly, most of them aren't at the same level as the true masters of the game.
Just as an aside: When TNT finally released a SS avatar, it was a huge disappointment to true SS players. It's one of those "no matter how pathetically you play, here you go" avatars which I consider an insult. Beyond the luck (obsessively a feature of neo games), SS requires actual thought as opposed to reflexes. There are hundreds of neo games that I will never achieve even a semi-decent score in; I just don't have the relexes anymore (wish they'd had computers and games when I was a young and hyper teen). Meanwhile, for one of the true skill-based games, the qualifying criteria for the avatar are: Make it this far, no matter how poor your score, then quit. Way to go, here's your avatar! (Woo-woo. Clap, clap). I won't use the av, which is sort of sad. I'm much prouder of my avatars that aren't quite as easy to get. That one just delayed my usual gold status by a couple of days. Oh gosh, golly, gee whiz. That was so hard (NOT!) (Hmmm, I do sound bitter, don't I?)
