Pet Name: Duckie
Owner: _razcalz_
Breed: Lenny

About Duckie:
Duckie yawned. The Baby Lenny's wings twitched as a light breeze brushed the yellow feathers. The grass around her swayed, almost as tall as she was herself. A butterfly fluttered lazily, landing on Duckie's feet for the briefest of moments.

Pond water lapped at the edge of the meadow where pets gathered for picnics. It looked as though no one desired to disturb the tranquility of the azure ripples. The scene was peaceful.

Too peaceful. There was no fun to be gained through a picture of serenity, after all.

Duckie rose from her midday snooze and stretched, shaking away the strands of grass that clung to her. The pond shimmered in the sunlight, beckoning her forward, inviting her in. Ponds like such were for swimming, for splashing, for having fun. She would be the first to enjoy it. Without warning, she charged and bounded high into the air, straight towards the gently lapping waves.

The result was spectacular. A colossal wave of pond water rose in response to Duckie’s cannonball dive into the pool, almost unbelievable compared to the little Lenny's size. Most of it landed on the nearby picnickers, drenching them and their well-prepared lunches. There were many shouts of bewilderment and outrage.

A stern-looking Eyrie jumped back in great surprise as the flow of water crashed upon her. Her eyes narrowed into a fierce glare, clearly irritated. She marched over to the other side of the pond, dripping puddles as she went.

"Who did that?" she demanded, glowering at a group of young Lupes who happened to be sitting nearest to the water. "Who thought it'd be amusing to cannonball into the pond?"

"It was that little Baby Lenny, floating there on the water," one of them replied meekly. "We saw her. It wasn't us."

Duckie didn't mind getting wet. She was used to it, and the cool sensation pleased her. She had been gliding lazily over the water, watching the commotion she'd caused with a giggle. At the Lupe's mention of her, Duckie perked up and gazed innocently at the Eyrie, who turned to look for the said Baby Lenny.

"Hewwo!" Duckie called merrily, raising a wing in an excited wave.

The Eyrie, whose features had slipped into a smile for a brief moment while she looked at Duckie, spun around to scowl angrily at the Lupes. "How dare you blame your misdeed on such a sweet little Lenny! Look at her; she wouldn't hurt a fly, let alone cause a splash twenty times her size!"

Of course, the Lupes tried to protest. "But -"

The Eyrie ignored them. "You miscreants are coming with me over to the other side, to apologize to the picnickers. Yes, you too! Come on!"

Duckie could have burst with amusement. It was all she could do to keep her glee silent as the unfortunate Lupes were dragged around the pond's edge by the Eyrie. Wiping tears of laughter from her eyes, she swam her way back to land, carefully avoiding attracting attention from those on the picnicker's side of the pond.

The Baby Lenny lay back on the grass to resume her nap, satisfied with the day's troublemaking.
