 Pet Name: Merfia Owner: aamiya Breed: Tonu About Merfia: It’s a nice day for a picnic. Which is why you’re going to have one in Neopia Park. The sun is shining and everything seems normal. You unpack in a clearing and just as you’re about to take a nice big chomp of your Carrot and Pea ommelette, a muffled noise is heard behind you. You perk up. Being a very social person, you’d love to meet that yellow tonu behind you who is wandering around. You invite it over, and it begins to tell you about itself. “Well,” it begins, “My name is Merfia, and I’m a female yellow tonu.” You’ve always been very interested in tonu, so you ask for more. “Alright,” Merfia says “How’d you like to hear my past?” You nod, and she begins… ----- This is Merfia now. I was born some time ago, I don’t know when, but it was nearly almost immediately after our specie was found along with the exploration of Tyrannia. My Mom – she doesn’t like for us to call her our ‘owner’ – is my first memory. We were in the Neohome she owned, and I had just hatched. My egg fragments were somewhere behind me. Mom picked me up and wrapped me in a blanket, placing me in a crib. I fell asleep, and she began heating up milk and softening up some scrambled eggs for my breakfast after I woke up. When I woke up, I had grown a lot – you see, in Neopia, we’re born in our adult forms, just smaller. Now, I was nearly normal size, and my instinct was first thing first. Food. Mom called me over to the table, where I ate nearly all of my eggs and drank all of my milk. Then, my mother introduced me to my sister, Nivvina. Nivvina is a blue Usul, she is about 5 or 6 hours older than me. But, we get along great. She let me play with her petpet a bit. It was a cardboard one, so I couldn’t break it or hurt it. Like I would. Nivvina is really smart, but she’s a bit crazy. No, not really. Only a bit less sane than I am. She spends most of her time practicing her magic. She was born with it. Also, her left eye is blue, and her right eye is gold! Isn’t that amazing? I love her so much. Afterwards, Mom saw how much I loved Ayane – that’s Nivvina’s petpet. So, she went out and got me a Frogler. I named it Tidbit because it reminded me of a smaller tonu. Or, a tidbit of a tonu. Tidbit’s really fun, he is always happy and really enthusiastic. I can always talk to him, and it really seems like he understands! Even though people say he’s nothing but a newbie pack item, he’s really something to our family. Now, about my mom! She is the one who chose me, named me, plays with me, cares for me, and houses us. Really, if you think about it, she is responsible for everything. Without her, I wouldn’t exist! Her name is Rina, and she’s fourteen years old. She has brown hair with blonde streaks and she runs an awesome guild, it’s called [dot]twilight. Also, did you know her full name is Rina Startiel Twilite? That makes my full name Merfia Seamaid Twilite! And, Nivvina is Nivvina Piskie Twilite. Rina’s been with me for a long time now. I owe her everything – good thing pets aren’t allowed points! ----- You were fascinated - such an ordinary pet with an ordinary life could be so interesting!
