I am a mutant.
A mutant techo, to be exact. One of many in Neopia. However, as most of you know, techos aren't very popular.
Neither are mutants.
So I guess that makes me a very unpopular pet.
But that doesn't mean anything to me. It did at one point, at one point I hated myself, hated the world, hated my life. I wanted everything to end. But it didn't. A long time ago, I lost my friends, my family, everything that mattered to me, because I was a mutant. And what did I get instead?

Something much better.

I've learned that there are people in this world who don't judge one appearance alone. Believe it or not, some people in this world actually care. And being an outcast has taught me that. I now have the best friend I could ever want, G3st0rt. I have a family. I have friends. I have owner who likes who I am,. And I have my life back. And I like it again. But the thing is, I know there are others out there that feel like what I once felt like. So I have a message to everyone in Neopia.
This world can be a cruel place. It can ruin your life, it can destroy everything you love, it can make you hate yourself. But chances are, things will get better. They did for me, they will for you. Even if you're flat on your back, the only way to look is up. And it's time some people realized this.

I know many don't like mutants. It could be our look, our association with Sloth, it could be anything. We know we're disliked. What we don't need is people telling us so. Think before you open your mouth. Take time to consider if what you say is really going to hurt someone. No one likes to be insulted. So don't insult them. The last thing some people need is to be brought down even more. You never know what they've been through.

To every outcast out there, believe in yourself. Believe that life goes on, and does get better. I did. And I wouldn't want my old life back. Ever.
