Pet Name: Mal_chan_578 About Mal_chan_578: Although I am not an Usul, I gained interest in skiing ever since hamsterz_r_best came back from her holiday in the Alps. She took me to the ski school and man, that instructor looked fierce! He's the sort of guy who will call you crazy if you made a slight mistake or grab you by the collar if you fail to do what he says. I suffered what was just said when I made my first move on the nursery slope. To start off with, we had to go on these swingy-chair things called draglifts, and I had a hard time getting off in the end--so hard that they had to emergency stop the machine to get me off. Next was probably even worse. I could not control my skis! I swooshed down the steep hill all the while. "Turn turn TURN!!!" was what I heard in the background, so I leaned to the right but the turn was too shallow. As I came closer and closer to the botton of the hill, I put my skis straight and held my hands out, stiff for the crash. BIG MISTAKE! I went faster and more furious until... BOOM!!! ...I crashed into the chain fence. My ski came off, and I felt lightheaded. At least it didn't hurt--too much... The instructor skied down gracefully and controlling speed, and skidded to a stop. "Are you crazy!?" he snarled. "You could have killed yourself!" The other students sniggered. I tried not to look at them, my face was too red to show. The rest of the session was just as bad. I walked home in a huff. hamsterz_r_best was surprised to see me in such a pouty mood. I didn't feel like talking, eating, or do anything else. I had a very bad feeling that the instructor wanted to ban me from his class, which is not good... Later on that day I managed to muster up my courage and explain what had happened. Hamsterz_r_best compromised to teach me from now on until I was comfortable. She taught me the basics-- how to turn, stop, and to use the draglift. I muddled up at first, but by the end of the hour I managed to go down the nursery slope with ease. I liked going down the mini slopes as well, the kinds where the lil toddlers use their sleds to go down it. Soon I was comfortable enough to take the final test--to go down the nursery slopes on my own. I slid down the cue to where the draglifts were, and I took my turn. I started to panic as I heard the sound of snowboards and skis behind me. I couldn't believe I was actually going up this high! At the very top of the slope I stood up and let go of the lift. I took my poles, and made my form. I turned to the right and glided down slowly, gathering speed on the way. At the edge of the slope, I made a sharp turn to the left, then to the right, and left again. I repeated this process until I came to the very bottom, and I even stopped at the right place! Hamsterz_r_best was really pleased. She said I could probably go to ski school the next day. Like she said, I did go to ski school. There was a new teacher, thank goodness. This time I followed through perfectly. Goodness I'm not bad for a CYBUNNY, eh? Betcha I'm the first Cybunny ever able to do this kind of thing! :)
