Random Contest Winners!

Every week or so we have a new Random Contest. The rules and events vary from competition to competition. Below are the winners from the last contest. If you'd like to enter the current contest, wander on over to the Random Contest submission form and have a look at what the currently silly task is. If you think you're up for it, give it a shot and submit your entry.

Contest:
Haunted Windows

Is the window really empty?
We read about haunted houses but do they really exisit? For the random contest this week we would like you to make your house look a bit more haunted. Pick a window or three and create a black silhouette of a scary neopian creature/character and place it in your window for everyone to see. They will really wonder who is lurking around your house this Halloween! Your submission should include a picture of your windows (please don't take a picture of your entire house). Please tell us what your painting is of and what you used to create it in the description. We will judge entries on creativity, scariness, and their overall awesomness. :)

First Place

Three winners receive the Random Contest avatar, 10,000 NP and an item of DOOM.

Too spooky
by annelikene
A very scary window. All of my neighbours are scared now.

Wraith Krawk Silhouette
by arcipello
I chose to make a Wraith Krawk silhouette because I think they are the scariest Neopet! This window is 7 feet tall so the Krawk is larger than life! I used several black paper posters, tape, scissors, oil pastel for drawing the outline and orange string lights for awesomeness. Thank you for this random contest, you have made scaring small children on Halloween even more fun. :D

Somebody's Watching You...
by ilysev
To create this creepy silhouette, I used black construction paper, black ribbon, tape, scissors and a permanent marker to draw the spooky design. Ever feel like somebody is watching you? Careful, Eliv Thade is always lurking...

Second Place

Six lucky people have 5,000 NP, the Random Contest avatar and an item whizzing their way.

Potion, my dear?
by _pandan
Image: Mr. Krawley
Materials: 1x Large piece of stiff black card, 1x Piece of printer paper, Masking tape to mount.
Location: Bathroom window :)

The Haunted Wood-Shadows
by _sakura111111_
I made some scary Shadows for you! Do you know which shadows i have created? But first, I tell you, how I did them: I took some paper and painted the scary silhouette. Then I fixed them on the window (you can see it on the firat picture). When it was dark, I took fotos (Second picture) :). It looks very scary! There are the pant devil, the brain tree, some Korbats, the shadow Usul and many other scary Neopets. Have a nice Halloween!

Back to Curse the living and dead
by angel_of_heaven84
When I saw Razul, I knew I had to choose him for Halloween. I used Japanese Rice paper for background as it is thin, translucent and can dry from wet paint without its surface warping too much. Incorporating a little Chinese paper cutting technique, I cut out Razuls entire body out of black construction paper. The details were all cut with a pen-knife, which was a pain to finish. The grass was cut with random scissor snips, though I could have done better.

Pant Devil Strikes!
by bellial
Something Has Happened! The Pant Devil Attacks! He steals Halloween! D: nooooo

Entrance to Haunted Woods
by rilja
I made a silhouette of my favourite part of Neopia with my favourite Neopets, Korbats.

Scary Night
by teca_alvarenga
I just made a werelupe, some bats and two korbats, the moon and one of the new NC items, Tree and Pumpkin Silhouette. Material used: black cardboard.

Third Place

Lastly there were 15 runners-up who will each receive 2,000 NP and the Random Contest avatar.
