Contest:
Mutant Mail

Send All Your Mail!

So Sloth Appreciation Day is coming quickly and we are concerned that Dr. Sloth may not have enough mailboxes for all of his fanmail. Thus your task for the next couple of weeks is to create a mailbox for Dr. Sloth. It should be in the shape of a Mutant Neopet, any one that you like. The mailboxes can be made out of whatever you like, but please make sure that some mail will fit in them! You do need to tell us which Mutant Neopet you decided to use, and what you used to create it in the description. We will judge entries based on creativity, usability and how fun they are. :)

First Place

Four winners receive the Random Contest avatar, 10,000 NP and an item of DOOM.

Mutant Skeith Mailbox
by morialemaru
This fierce Skeith will make sure no one will touch your mail! Made entirely out of tissue boxes, craft foam, pom poms, clay, markers, and lots of glue.

Mutant Korbat Mailox
by toastastic
I named this Mutant Korbat Bagguss because of the head shape when I first made it. To create Bagguss I used cardboard, white paper, construction paper, loads of tape, and a strange mixture of green, blue, and red paint.

Mutant Chomby Mailbox
by toffeedatepudding
Put Sloth's mail here if you dare go close to this Mutant Chomby Mailbox! Materials used: balloon, newspaper, flour, glue, water, acrylic paint, markers, scissors, cardboard box, box cutters, art paper, masking tape, yarn, hair dryer, 4 days and a lot of dedication! I first made a base for the paper mache chomby using the balloon, cardboard, rolled up newspaper and tape. Then I tore strips of newspaper and dipped them in a flour and water paste. I wrapped the chomby in several layers of wet newspaper, letting each one dry completely before moving on. I added details to the back with more cardboard and newspapers. I then painted the chomby with acrylic paints. I topped him with black yarn for hair too! For the mailbox, I took an old box and wrapped it with art paper. I cut a hole for the mail and glued this mailbox firmly in the chomby's hands. Place this mailbox by Sloth's door and wait for his reward!

Second Place

Eight lucky people have 5,000 NP, the Random Contest avatar and an item whizzing their way.

Sloth's Box- Kyrii Style
by _sangel_
In honour of Sloth Appreciation day I decided to make him a Mutant Kyrii mail box! Every great villain still needs his mail! I took a cardboard box, paint, felt, a pencil, pen, yarn, envelopes, a paint brush, paper a red crayon, scissors, hot glue gun, a metal poll and a mail box was born! His mail flag reads "Dr. Sloth's Box, 100% Evil". I chose a Mutant Kyrii because they are adorable and Sloth needs an adorable sidekick! (That space station is too bland). Uh-oh... someone got a warning from TNT, Maybe the kyrii mail box worked a little too well!

Mutant Techo
by bluewisp16
Materials: glue, tape, paper, shoe box, colored pencils, ribbon, wrapping paper tube, and an envelope I chose to make my mailbox into a mutant Techo. The reason I chose a Techo is because Techos have always been one of my favorite neopets and mutant looks really good and scary on them. With this mailbox Dr. Sloth definitely won't be receiving any fanmail!

you've got jubjub
by ddaa975
I used colored construction paper, glue, tape, a pencil, an envelope, and a cardboard box to make my mutant jubjub mailbox. (the letter inside is addressed to Dr.sloth, from happy valley, neopets. no real addresses used) I hope Dr. Sloth is pleased :)

Mailbox Jubjub mutant
by djpedoca
Thinking about the number of letters that Dr. Sloth would receive, I did a mailbox as a gift to him in his day! The box is a JubJub mutant was made with cardboard. The box was all rubber coated paper, with cotton ornamentanda green and green to give an interesting effect. The lid is a JubJub that was designed by hand in a white paper and rubber hand painted with ink painting. The whole job took about 9 hours to fully ready! Inside the mailbox, is a letter that I wrote, suggesting some plans to dominate Neopia Dr. Sloth!

The Cylindrical Mutant Bori Mailbox
by dumdumbebe_isabel
I choose the mutant Bori because... well, he'd got a nice shape to be a mailbox. He's big, so I though that a lot of mail would fit inside it. The real Neopet isn't exactly cylindrical, that's because of the bottle's bottom. I didn't want it to open in its head or something, so it opens in its back! And his tail shows there's something inside it!

Mutant Flotsam Head Mailbox
by flotsam_freako_8254
Flotsams are an amazing species, and what better than a Mutant Flotsam to hold some of Sloth's mail for him? I used air-dry clay to create the general Flotsam head shape and the fins, and papier mached around the shape with paper and glue for a few days to make the mailbox nice and hard. The eyes were created with air-dry clay and glued on and I used acrylic paint to decorate my Flotsam mail box. Mail goes in the slot at the top of the Flotsam's head and there is an emergency release at the bottom should Sloth receive too much fanmail!

Aisha mailbox
by gui_lherme_19
I choose a mutant aisha to be my mailbox. For made it, I used some white, red and light blue paint, fusible glue, a black permanent marker and conduit.

Mutated Mail
by o0aeris0o
Dear the evi--great and benevolent ruler, Dr. Sloth: I decided to make a Mutant Quiggle mailbox for you because I find these slobbery little guys rather quite cute--and I know you love happiness, so why couldn't you also love cuteness? To make your mailbox, I used a wooden box, a purple cloth, gold ribbon, newspaper, red construction paper, black and white acrylic paints, brush, thread and needle, tape, and scissors. Warning: your mail may experience slight moisture if left alone for too long. Have a happy Dr. Sloth Appreciation Day! ;)

Third Place

Lastly there were 100 runners-up who will each receive 2,000 NP and the Random Contest avatar.
