Contest:
Usuki Dream House

Hello there, are you ready for Usuki Con? A few of us are not quite ready, we need to build houses for our Usuki. For inspiration though we would like you to build a dream home for your own Usuki. Your home should have a Neopian theme, please don't just build a generic house. You have several choices of materials you can use to build your home. You can use any or all of these different materials: toothpicks, popsicle sticks, straws, pipecleaners. Take a picture of your creation and submit it with a description telling us what you used to create your home. The entries will be judged by cleverness, humour, and Sturdiness!

First Place

Six winners receive the Random Contest avatar, 10,000 NP and an item of DOOM.

Super Usuki Dream House!
by aub13
The materials I used to make this doll house was jumbo popcicle sticks for the walls and floors, pink wrapping paper for the ears and roof, and boxes from a sub sandwich cafe to make the roof with. The base floor is two blocks of wood I found laying about and I wrapped them in paper. The furniture is mostly clay and I only made it all because I want my own dolls to use this house. The walls and floor are held together by tape and glue. Although that may not seem sturdy, I was surprised that I could actually carry it around my house and jostle it around. There is an extension patio with a pool for all the grand pool parties you can throw. In the rainbow mirror see if you can see a meepit ;3 The wardrobe consists of several usuki outfits and there is a pink poogle bed in the bedroom with a sparkly pink hairbrush on it for every fashionable usuki~ Only 3.5 million np~! :D

One's Dream, Another's Nightmare
by chocolate_rent08
Two brides have a lot in common, eh? Not my Beautiful Bride Usuki and my Bride of Frankenstein Usuki! When it comes to their dream houses, these two are quite different. My Bride of Frankenstein thinks of her dream house and pictures the Castle of Eliv Thade. On the other hand, this is the nightmare house of my Beautiful Bride! Who would want to live in the Castle of Eliv Thade?!

Home on the Range
by inuyashalover37
In a tiny corner of Meri Acres Farm sits the simple Farming Time Usuki. While the others are pampering their faces and fluffing their tails, this hardworking Usul tends to his wheat crop. This is of course if he can keep away those pesky Symols. Total Time Taken: 15+ hours Materials Used: 200+ popsicle sticks, wooden skewers, paint, glue, tape, clay for figure, outdoor plants & soil, cardboard for windmill, wire for weather vane & pitchfork.

Little, cozy Brightvale-Farm
by leonarda_da_vinci
For this cute and very cozy Brightvale-farm house I only used toothpicks and maaany glue to build. After some days of work (and swearing :D) I coloured it to what it looks like now. I love farm houses and I think with the Brightvale ornament and the flag it matches the theme of Brightvale perfectly. Then I decorated it with blossoms because always when I visited a farm, there were plants and flowers everywhere. Every Usuki liking the typical farm life would like to have a house like this!

Nighttime Escape
by xfillover1
This house is for the night owl Usuki who is always dreaming of the stars. This stylish popsicle-stick home features typical Usuki tones of pink and purple, along with the classic Neopets stars to emulate the night sky. A pipecleaner garden lines the house, and the open window allows for the home-owner to gaze out at the night sky.

Second Place

Eight lucky people have 5,000 NP, the Random Contest avatar and an item whizzing their way.

Usuki Hut
by canadagirl1996
My Usuki dream house is more of a hut. They live on the lovely and luxurious Mystery Island (aka my backyard). Materials: As you can see I used old broom bristles/straw for the outside of the hut to give it a rustic-island feel to it. I tried joining the end of the straw and toothpicks together with double sided tape but that didn’t work. Then I decided my blue blob of moulding material would do the trick. So once the pieces were joined I had to even out the broom bristles and that was hard! I thought they were all even until I stuck it all together that is. Then I thought my hut looked ugly with a blue blob over the top so I added a nice purple ribbon.

Choco
by chrispiket
I made a Chocolate house for my Usuki. First I glued the toothpicks together. While they were drying, I drew the paperchild. The paint of the house is chocolate, TONS of chocolate =D One of my Usukis liked it, as you can see ^^ But it's the perfect house for all my other chocolate Usukis!

One of a Kind
by jmo7692
You have just entered Neopia Central and just behind that huge tree to the right is a Dream House any Usuki could ever want to live in! The Materials I had used to create this one of a kind Dream House were the following: Our big Kitchen cutting board first of all is the base. I taped straws which I cut in half to be the fence around the whole yard of the house, as well as taping ribbon to the straws to complete the fence. Almost a whole roll of clear duck tape was used building everything, by the way! For the ground, I taped paper to the cutting board and I used a green highlighter for the grass, red gel pen for the walkway up to the door, and blue gel pen for the pool. As for the house itself on the outside, I used an old box for it, and then taped paper around it for more style and colored pink and orange stripes with highlighters. The roof also had paper taped over and was colored with a yellow highlighter. As for the door, I colored it gold with a gel pen and the door knob was just a white thumbtack. The window frames were the same color as the roof. For the inside, downstairs I used a roll of tape for the table and paper for a chair. The stairs were tiny pieces of cardboard I cut and taped together. Upstairs, I used a tiny box with paper taped around it as the bed. Finally, I added a few neopet stickers inside, and outside just to finish it off. Any Usuki would enjoy living in this 2 story dream house!

Usuki Dream Ski Lodge
by kanebo
The Usuki Dream Ski Lodge! Perfect for any fun-loving usuki. Almost 1000 popsicle sticks were used to make the building itself, a few straws, a handful of toothpicks and some pipecleaners for the tree and bushes. The icicles were created using hot glue and the so called snow is made of cotton and various other snowish materials.
