Contest:
Back to the Hoodies

Everyone is getting into the thrill of Altador Cup. Have you chosen your team yet? Well if you have and you aren't sure how to show your support for them yet, the latest challenge could be just what you need! Over the next couple of weeks we would like you to create an Altador Cup Team themed hoodie that you can wear. This should be a unique hoodie. We are going to give you three weeks to complete it so that should give you time to make a hoodie and decorate it. These hoodies should be made entirely by you (an adult may help you so you don't hurt yourself etc). When you take a picture of your hoodie please make sure your face is not showing. Please tell us what your team is and what you used to make your hoodie in the description. We're judging the hoodies on how wearable it is, how fun and cool it is, and overall creativity.

First Place

Six winners receive the Random Contest avatar, 10,000 NP and an item of DOOM.

Shenkuu Hoodie
by luminously
This hoodie was made with simple fabric, needle, thread, and a little black paint. It's completely hand-sewn; no use of a sewing machine. Made to show my support for my team. Shenkuu for the Altador Cup!

Terror Mountain Knitted Hoodie
by poofyfluff
Terror Mountain Knitted Hoodie - 100% yarn 100% hand knitted!

Team Terror Mountain Hoodie
by remansi
I was ecstatic to see the yearly AC-based Random Contest roll around, so I of course had to take a shot at it. For the team, I picked my supported and (neo)home team, Terror Mountain. I chose a simple design, not too overpowering and one that I could get away with wearing in the colder off-season. I added in the trademark fur hood lining present on all TM jerseys. I think it adds a nice (and warm!) touch. Besides that, everything on the hoodie is hand painted, colored, or dyed (sweatshirt knit sadly doesn't come in Terror Mountain Turquoise) except for the sewing, which was reinforced on the seams for extra durability.

Yooniform!
by robin_y2k1
This one was fun to make. I found stripy black and white material, dyed, cut and sewed it all myself. I then used heat transfer paper and sharpie markers to do the Darigan logos. Once I'd got the shirt right, I made the sling using old packing foam and pipe lagging, liberal doses of spray paint and a heavy dose of ingenuity. I'm really proud of this piece!

Go Lost Desert!
by stryclone
I chose to create a Lost Desert hoodie to show my support for Team LD, and Vonde Cayle. To create this sweater, I started out with a solid beige fleece fabric and picked red, navy, gold and dark brown accent colors. I traced a T-Shirt to use as the pattern then sewed the basic sweater. Next I sewed on the hood, which was the hardest part. At the end I decorated the sweater with the accent fabrics sewn on with a zigzag stitch. Vonde Cayle is my favorite player, so I used the image from the team photo to inspire my hoodie.

THE Vonde Cayles Hoodie
by _l_u_g_i_a_
As you can see, I'm supporting the Lost Desert. And because my favorite player is Vonde Cayle, I recreated his outfit. First, I took a brown hoodie (brown due to his fur) and then sewed a yellow t-shirt on. Next I sewed alternately yellow and blue pieces of material on a brown (self-made) sash and sewed it on the t-shirt. Lastly I made Wocky ears and but them on the hood and persuaded Vonde Cayle to take a picture with me ;)

Snuggly Darigan Blanket Coat
by crimsonnightdawn
Darigan Gaming coat made out of fleece and hand sewed :D nice and warm too! Even has a computer game time defence spikes for convincing others it is still your turn XD

Krawk Island Hoodie
by diva_kathleen
Go Team Krawk Island!!! This hoodie was sewn from cotton materials. The emblems were custom out of trim and duct tape plastic knives.

Daddy Grundo for Faerieland!
by jayia
I made my Grundo plushie a hoodie for his favorite team in the Altador cup, Faerieland. I used various fabrics, thread, a stick, markers, and string. I first made the back panel to fit his out of fleece. I then made two panels the same size for the front so that it would overlap. I then cut two long strips for the sleeves and adjusted them accordingly. After assembling the lower part I cut a semi-circle for the hood and adjusted it. I cut out circles for his antennas. I did a similar process as the arms for his antennas (it gets cold in space!). After creating toggle and loop closures for his hoodie I began to decorate the hoodie. I created three patches for his hoodie. One is of a yooyu ball, one is of the Altador Cup pitch, and the last is of the Faerieland crest on the back. The yooyu ball patch is made of a pleather like material and the other two are made from a white jersey knit material.

Roo Island Hoodie
by shoobydala
To show my love for Roo Island, I used a colorful patterned fleece, and a green fleece. Since I am sewing intolerant, I used entirely the "cut fringe and tie knots" technique. The hoodie fits well, and is tied together securely. It has fringe on the bottom and around the hood and neckline, and features the Roo Island logo on the back, similar to the vintage jerseys. It was really fun to make, so I hope you enjoy it!

Brightvale Pride
by unis4ever104
My hoodie design is based on the Brightvale team uniforms (as evident in front view), and also includes the BV Shield and a BoB Patch ;) (closeup view included). I made my hoodie with various materials bought from the store, a sewing machine, a bit of hot glue, a permanent marker and plenty of enthusiasm. BV FTW!

Terror Mountain Team Hoodie!
by watertrib
Now all Bruces, Blumaroos, and Chias can look great, stay warm, and support their homeland in the annual Altador Cup. This unique hoodie is custom made to satisfy all of Terror Mountains fans, even the grumpiest ones, like the Snowager. The making of this hoodie was done through crocheting of light blue and white (TM's team colors) yarn, white felt, and magic markers!

Third Place

Lastly there were 100 runners-up who will each receive 2,000 NP and the Random Contest avatar.
