Week One - Monday

League One

It might only be day one, but Mr. Roboto has already won a spot in The Knockout Round by breezing through all four of his First Round matches. After humiliating Jimmy James and Snowflake with 10-1 and 11-1 thrashings, Roboto disposed of The Black Widow with a 6-1 victory. In his final match of the day, Roboto faced underdog Billy Bob Fandango, who fought bravely but came up short 5-3. The question now is, "Who will emerge to join Roboto in Round Two?"

League Two

It was brawn versus beauty as Gormball champion Dave Scorcheski took on celebrity socialite Bubbles. Despite playing in heels, Bubbles' frenetic volleys gave her a surprising early lead. However, in the match's final 1:30, Scorcheski staged a comeback that allowed him to snatch victory from the jaws of... erm... not victory. In the day's other League Two match, The Beader took a big ol' bite out of Cupcake with a stunning 7-1 triumph.

League Three

The day's sole League Three match pitted notorious heartbreaker Sweets against scurvy Neopian newcomer C Dawg. Thanks to his many years of Kickball training, C Dawg built an early lead against Sweets, who came into the match with almost no Deckball experience. However, after steadying her nerves, this battling bachelorette mounted a furious attack that allowed her to emerge with a shocking 5-3 victory.

League Four

Coming in as a last minute replacement, Mr. Insane established himself as leading contender with a pair of impressive victories. In his first match, Insane took a 1-0 lead when Level 3 Warrior accidentally kicked the ball into his own goal. With the score at 2-1 and Level 3 poised for a comeback, Mr. Insane turned the tide with a pair of late goals to pull away for a 4-1 victory. Later, Insane proved he's no fluke by squeaking out a 4-3 win against Viola.

League Five

In the early going, master spy Bye-Gon Jinx has strung together a trio of victories that almost assure his place in The Knockout Round. After triumphing in a 6-5 nailbiter against Pop Tart, Bye-Gon cruised to convincing 6-2 and 6-3 victories against Mr. Black and Tiger Catcher. After their respective losses to Bye-Gon, Black and T.C. locked horns in a battle which saw a number of lead changes, but nevertheless ended in 6-6 tie.

League Six

As the tournament's toughest bracket, League Six has had plenty of thrills. Wolverine's early upset of Number 6 was followed by an epic match between Mr. Shankly and Golden Child. After staking Shankly to a 4-0 lead, Golden Child roared back to go up 7-6. Then, with 3 seconds left in the match, Shankly scored to earn a 7-7 tie. In the tournament's strangest moment so far, an electrical storm caused the cancellation of Penelope's match with Blind Justice.

League Seven

In today's first Level Seven matchup, crowd favourite J Boogie squared off against defensive wizard Mr Pickles. Dictating the pace with his plodding style, Pickles was able to hold Boogie scoreless and emerge with a 0-0 tie. Later, Dom Dread capitalised on an early goal against Pickles, cruising to a 3-1 win. Hoping to grab a lead in the standings, Boogie and Dom finished the day with a hard-fought struggle that resulted in a well earned 1-0 win for The Boogie Man.
