Petpet Name: Luka Owner: kt_roo2 Pet Name: Heartbrooken Breed: Yellow Ukali About Luka: My name is Luka, and I’m a little yellow ukali. My owner is Heartbrooken, a sad little blumaroo that rarely ever smiles. I think my role in his life is a very important one – I’m here to make him smile! I may not be able to talk to him with words, but I try my best to show him my support and love through actions. My job is an important one, being his loyal companion, and I take it very seriously. Would you like to hear about my attempt to make him smile today? ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ My owner Heartbrooken came home from a long day of work and just like any other happy petpet, I ran up to him the moment I heard the door open, squeaks of excitement escaping from my mouth. He was very visibly sad, as he usually is, but still gave me a pat on the head and said, “Good boy, Luka.” I smiled at him before excitedly hopping around the room. I had hoped that my energy would maybe, just maybe, cheer him up. Unfortunately, it did not. Heartbrooken slumped down on the couch, let out a sign, and closed his eyes – he must be trying to take a nap. Well, that’s just perfect for my plan! I usually expect him to come home sad, and try to plan something to cheer him up. Today, my plan was to make some macaroni and cheese. I’ve never cooked before…but there’s a first time for everything, right? Once I was sure he was asleep, I made my way into the kitchen and pulled out a box of macaroni and cheese from the pantry. I scanned over the box to find the instructions, hoping they had pictures for me to follow. I couldn’t really read, which made even the thought of cooking a bit difficult. It was my lucky day, they did have pictures for me to follow! I took a look at the first picture showing a pan with water in it, with the macroni being poured in and mixed over the stove. I nodded to myself, grabbing a little pan and filling it with water from the sink. I carried it to the stove and nodded with approval. I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the stove, but luckily for me, I’m a dragon! I poured the noodles into the water and brought it to a boil with my fire breath, taking a break to mix occasionally. After about 10 minutes, I grabbed one of the noodles from the – hot! – pan and tasted it. I was so happy I could have cry, they were cooked perfectly! Taking a look at the second picture, I could see the water and noodles being poured into this strange bowl I know I’ve seen my owner use when making macaroni. I looked through the cabinets to find the bowl with holes, and when I found it placed it gently in the sink and poured the pan’s contents into it. I had to think for a moment, to try to remember what my owner did next. Did he continue these directions when he had it in the strange bowl, or did he put it back in the pan? After a few moments of thinking, I decided I thought he put it back in the pan after. So, I poured the noodles back into the pan. The next step showed what looked like more water being poured in the pan, the little packer that came in the macaroni, and a stick of something that I remember my owner having in the fridge. I opened the fridge, and found the yellow stick toward the very top. I had to fly just to get to it! But happily, I placed the whole stick in the pan, put a little bit of water in, mixed the packet in, and warmed the contents so that the stick melted in with all the ingredients. Finally…I had a bowl of mac and cheese in front of me!! I excitedly ran to my owner, jumping on him to wake him up and then grabbed his paw to lead him to the kitchen. Tiredly, he walked out to the kitchen and I presented my masterpiece. He smiled, and I felt accomplished. “Good job, Luka, you’re a good boy.” Let me tell you, that one moment is one of the best feelings for a petpet to have in their life.
