Petpet Name: Qiquo
Owner: nostalgia_14
Pet Name: Chrysanthemum_Acai
Breed: Biyako

About Qiquo:
"Someone stop that Biyako!" a yellow Chia yelled as he ran through Neopia Central.

The Biyako looked behind him. The Chia was catching up. How could that be? It didn't matter. The Chia couldn't catch him. If he did, then the Biyako knew he would be in trouble. He might even be returned to the shop in Shenkuu. Dodging shops and Neopians, the Biyako tried to find somewhere to hide... anywhere to hide.

Time was running out and the Biyako had all but given up when he saw a young Xweetok in the distance. She seemed as if she was nice enough to help him. She was a pirate, no doubt, but she had this sweet look on her face that was so inviting. He'd have to hide with her.

The Biyako ran behind her and hid. "Hello," the little Xweetok giggled. "What are you doing?"

"Stop that Biyako!" the yellow Chia yelled again, clearly running out of breath.

"Oh, you're in trouble. What'd you do?" Just then, she noticed the Borovan Crepe in the Biyako's mouth. "You stole it?" The Biyako nodded and hung its head. She noticed the sad, scared look on its face and said, "Don't worry. I'll help you."

"Thank you for helping," the yellow Chia said in between breaths. "Now, if you'd kindly turn over that Biyako, I need..."

"My Biyako? Why?"

"Your Biyako? Is that so? What's his name, then?"

"His name? Come on. You'll have to ask a harder question than that. His name is... Qiquo."

"What?"

"Qiquo. You know, like 'key' and then 'co'... and what seems to be the problem with my Biyako?"

"He stole one of my foods."

"He did? Did you?" The Biyako nodded. "Oh, I'm sorry. How much? I'll pay for it."

"1,715 Neopoints."

"What?!? For a crepe? Maybe that's why he stole it."

"It's a Delicious Borovan Crepe. It's well worth the Neopoints."

"Whatever you say," she said as she got out her Neopoints. "There you are. 1,715."

"You're not even going to try to haggle down? What kind of pirate are you?"

"The kind that doesn't care about Neopoints. They aren't mine, anyway. Come on, Qiquo." The Biyako smiled at the shopkeeper and then turned to follow behind the Xweetok.

The Biyako looked back every once in a while to see if the shopkeeper was still there. The first two times, the shopkeeper was still standing there, perplexed, but on the third look, he found that the yellow Chia was nowhere in sight. The Biyako smiled once again and stopped.

The Xweetok turned to see that the Biyako had not only fallen behind, but started to walk off in its own direction. She ran after him. "Where are you going?"

"Flrrrrr," the Biyako responded.

"Uh, okay. You're not going to stay with me? I thought we were friends. We're not going to stick together?"

The Biyako tilted his head and stared at the Xweetok. He seemed genuinely confused by this idea. Another Neopet to take care of him? Not after his last owner. He wanted to be on his own... to hunt again. After all, he'd almost been caught by the shopkeeper. He needed to practice if he was going to be anywhere near as good as he had been once before.

"So, you're really just gonna leave me?"

The Biyako nodded, turned, and started to walk away. He really wanted to be on his own now. He'd been so happy when his owner let him go. He now wanted to be free. He turned around and watched the Xweetok walk away. It was the first time he'd seen a pirate look so sad. He did like her; she was clever and quick on her feet, great traits in the owner of a hunter. He ran after her and jumped onto her shoulder.

She smiled. "So, you're staying with me, then?"

"Flrrrr," the Biyako said again.

"Great. Well, my name is Chrysanthemum_Acai, but my family calls me Chrissy. You can, too. Oh, is Qiquo an okay name? I kind of just made it up, but if you’d prefer, I can call you Flrrrr."

The Biyako smiled.

"Qiquo it is, then. Well, Qiquo, it seems like you need some hunting practice. If the shopkeeper from the Food Shop almost caught you, then you must be losing your touch. After all, Biyakos are supposed to be quiet. Well, I have some treasure to dig up. If you'd like to accompany me, then I'm sure there'll be plenty of times when you'll be able to do some hunting."

The Biyako jumped off her shoulder and started to run ahead of her. He turned, seemingly to get her to hurry. Chrissy got the message and started to run, too. Qiquo only hoped this relationship would turn out better than the last one.
