 Petpet Name: Thade Owner: eevee0011 Pet Name: Illirie Breed: Darigan Vacana About Thade: If this was a contest based on cleanliness and hygiene, Thade would lose, hands down. There is no Petpet that smells more, passes more gas, and burps more than my Petpet. Also, if you even say the word "boo" around him, Thade will somehow figure out a way to get a Petpetpet infestation from it. So yeah, let's just say that I look over my shoulder every day, expecting the PPL to come and take him because they think I'm not bathing or putting Petpetpet cream on him. My human, Sabre, got him for me a while ago, when she'd adopted me in a trade. The moment I entered through the doors the first time, I was determined to prove that I belonged there, and when I saw a faerie Vacana that belonged to one of my new siblings, I also saw a way to do that. I demanded a Darigan Vacana, the exact opposite of that frilly little thing called a Petpet, and I figured that if I could prove my new Vacana was better than it, then I was better, too. Surprisingly enough, and probably in an attempt to make me feel more at home, Sabre got a regular Vacana, and hours later purchased the Petpet paint brush for him through an auction. Being a Darigan Neopet myself, I gave him the most evil -- and creative -- name I could think of: Thade, the anagram for Death. For the first little bit I was completely proud of the newly christened Thade. He looked evil, and I would parade him around, rubbing the fact that he was mine in my siblings' faces (particularly Sheijarun, who was the one who had the faerie Petpet). But then I found him one evening, looking and smelling like he'd rolled around in a fresh Pile of Dung. I gave him a bath and poured some fragrances on him, but when I was finished, he immediately darted back toward the backyard and dove into the compost pile. After a few more incidents like this, I locked the back door. He then got fleas, however, and somehow managed to keep on smelling up the house from that point on, no matter how many fragrances I sprayed on him. I kept on trying and trying to keep him clean and not stinky, but it was of no use. After about a week of this, and the fact that the only recognition of having an awesome Petpet I ever got was people saying, "P.U.!" I started to cry. My siblings had been ignoring me, and I'd finally had enough. I was even planning on having Sabre sell Thade. After about an hour of crying, I felt a nose shove itself beneath my paw. I opened my eyes to see a fairly clean -- though, by no means pristine -- Thade staring up at me. He pushed himself even further under my paw and made a noise that demanded more attention. I sniffled and smiled, and then I started to pet Thade, comforted by his thick coat of fur and the realization that he didn't care if I were new, or a "cold-hearted Darigan." As long as I fed him, took care of him, and gave him attention, I was alright in his eyes. So, despite his uncleanliness, to me Thade is the best Petpet ever.
