1 Fatale

IS NOT A REAL WORD!
It is in Spanish, meaning fatal, and in Italian meaning weird.
IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FEMALE GENDER.
I recomend the terms 'maiden', 'damsel, and 'lass'.
The term "femme fatale" CAN be used, meaning seductive and deadly woman. Femme can be used seperately, but not fatale.


2 Wolven

IS NOT A REAL WORD!
Though the word wolfen is.


3 Audicles

IS NOT A REAL WORD!
I recomend using the word 'auricle' or 'pinnae' (Pinnae when reffering to both ears, pinna when reffering to only one of them.)


4 Plume

HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH FUR!
It means feathers NOT fur.
Wolves do NOT have feathers.


5 Dubbance

IS NOT A REAL WORD!
The word Dubbing Is indeed a word though. But it does NOT mean your name, but your NICKNAME!
Ex: Say you're a queen. You are dubbing someone Duke. You wouldn't say 'I dub thee Bob', you would say 'I dub thee Duke'.


6 Femora

HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FEMALE GENDER!
Femora, indeed, would be the plural of 'femur'.


7 Chain

LINKS- NOT FLESH.
A chain is not a tail, a chain links together in smaller parts, a tail dose not.


8 Pistons

HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH LEGS!
It is a valve on a musical instrument, or a machine part. Not a leg.
Stilt, that could be considered a leg.


9 Crania

IS MORE THEN ONE CRANIUM!
Crania is TWO craniums, so this could only be used when refering to more then one wolf.


10 Hellion

HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MALE GENDER!
Means A mischievous, troublesome, or unruly person. Can be used as a good adjective.


11 Fae

HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FEMALE GENDER!
Fae is a type of bomb, I guess when it's 'that time of the month', you could be considered a fae. x_x


12 Tassel

HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH TAILS!
A tassel is a bunch of loose threads or cords bound at one end and hanging free at the other. Hm. o_o Picture that.


13 Dial

IS THE HEAD/FACE... OF A CLOCK!
Otherwise it's a sundial. Hm. I'm sure wolves would enjoy having a big sundial on their faces.


14 Femme

Meaning: Exhibiting stereotypical or exaggerated feminine traits. If you want to call your character a 'femme', be my guest!


15 Orbit

Orbit would be your eye socket. Due to the lack of the ability to move your eye socket, or see with them, then it can not be used as a term for eye.
I reccomend the terms 'oculars', 'orb', or the similie 'pools', 'puddles', or 'spheres'.



16 Similies, Metaphors, and Synonyms

Simlies: A figure of speech in which two essentially unlike things are compared. Simlies are GREAT ways to use words such as stilts, or corpse.
Though stilts is something that does appear to be like a leg, it is NOT. So, you could say something like:

Hirukia slunk upon the damp loam. The wolf's ebon tummy was nearly touching the ground. Her stilt-like legs seemed to easily dodge the roots that protruded from the foilage.

See? I used stilt to describe Hirukia's legs! I didn't aucutally call her legs stilts, because they are not stilts. This can be done with a number of other roleplaying terms such as:
Tassel, chain, corpse, daggers, chasm, pillars, etc.


Metaphor: A figure of speech in which a word or phrase that ordinarily designates one thing is used to designate another, thus making an implicit comparison.

Metaphors work magic from trying to connect the reader with the scenario. It makes the reader for more like he/she is auctually there, in your characters posistion. Here is an example:

Hirukia was taken aback by the downpour of scents. They seemed to be everywhere, concealing her. A soft wimper was released, crying out for help."

Sounds pretty decent right? All thanks to a simple metaphor!


Synonyms: A word having the same or nearly the same meaning as another word or other words in a language.

Synonyms are what we strive to use the most in our large wolf roleplaying community. Without them we would be using the same boring words over and over again. Yet with them they can become more lively, and interesting.

Hirukia slowly tredded down the winding forest path. The wolf's head was low, representing her insipid surroundings.

Instead of putting:

Hirukia walked slowly in the forest. Her head was low, and she was bored.

Personally, I like the 1st one more. See how I used different words in the 1st one to animate what was going on?



17 Apohstrophe's

I can honestly say that I was to warped into using the apohstrophe chat. Apohstrophe chat looks something like this:

Th' virile mascu' creature neared it's damned prey

Damn I can't even make a good example I havn't used it in so long... Well it is when you use apohstrophe's excessively, and in all the wrong places. Over would be o'er, and the would be th'. It used to be a sign that you were 'advanced' roleplayer. Well, this is also a sign to the real advanced roleplayers, that you're a lazy fool! Just type in the whole word. It makes everything look... incomplete, like you're missing something. Well, if you are doing this, you are missing something- SOME VOWELS AND A BRAIN!



18 What makes you a decent roleplayer?

If you use words that aucutally mean something.
If you use a variety of words.
If you're very descriptive.
If other people can understand what you're saying.
If your grammar is accurate.
If your character meets the standards/rules of the site or chat you're roleplaying with.
You do NOT have to respect the admin and/or alpha's to be a 'good roleplayer'.

Hirukia is a very witty creature. She knows how to manipulate people, thus people end up respecting her. She tells them when she thinks something is not right with the order of the pack, and often times in a harsh tone. Also she will take control if the pack is not going her way. See- the wolf may be screwed up, but the way that I roleplay her is not. If I were to use this character with sentences like:

The fae moved to the alpha and told that wolf that the fae was wrong about that.

It would make no sense! Yet if you were to put:

The she-wolf neared the so-called alpha, a small frown etched into her features. No sound was emitted from this wolf, until she was a good 3 yards away. Hirukia seemed to be very at ease with the situation, thus reclined onto her haunches to project her opinions.

The alpha would be much more willing to hear you out, even if your verbal choice is rather rude.


These are my standards of a advanced roleplayer, not official standards.



19 W.A.S.P

Weather- Describe in great detail the weather, and how it is effecting you and your surroundings.

Actions- Make all of your actions according to the situation, and try to relate them with the weather. So if it's raining outside you can say something like:

The wolf was attempting to run across the low-cut feild, but the rain made it so slippery."

Speak- What does your wolf have to say? Be sure that what you do say is clear.

Personality- What good, or bad things about your wolf's personality effect how things will happen in your post? If your wolf was bitter and cold, then it's thoughts about the loud woung pup might not be so good.

This is a small guide to extened your posts.



20 Cliches:

Don't have a wolf character that kills JUST for fun, or is oddly violent.

The reason why animals don't deserve any cruelty, is NOT because they can not speak up, but because they are completely innocent. Animals don't know right from wrong, because they only do what they need to do inorder to survive, unless spoiled by the human race.

So- animals do NOT go killing things for fun. They are not social outcasts, because they need a social life inorder to survive, how else would they get food? A wolf can not live soley on lemmings.

It's okay if your character is a little distant, yet still participates, but dont make them anarchists! Without some form of hierarchy, everything is damned. So if you are one of these 'rebellious' creatures, then don't join a pack.
