![]() The daily hustle and bustle of Neopian Central stresses out each and every one of it's thousands of shoppers. The amount of people, Neopets, and food on the ground is enough to drive someone crazy if they spent their time there for too long. That's why it's always healthy to take a break in the nearby park where it's quiet, calm, and you can listen to the birds while your aching, stepped on feet can take a break before it's time to head off again.
Although the park has a lot less occupants, there's still some interesting life rummaging around. A suspicious lutari skulking around the fountain, a nearby lupe rolling around near the garbage can, and a pteri and korbat nearby in a tree arguing which is the best way to sleep between upside-down, or right side-up.
Ignoring their squawking you find yourself a comfortable place on a bench, careful to avoid the gum on the far side that looks like it also has a hair sticking out from one side. Just as you were making out a shape in one of the clouds in the warm summer sky, you feel a very slight, almost undetectable tug on your bag. Upon flinching back into reality you realize that someone was trying to steal something from your grocery bag!
Hey!" You snap, and bolt up, staring the culprit down, only to realize that it is a very small, very innocent looking draik. She was tiny! About the size of the average snowbunny (not including fluff) and had picked a snowberry from the your grocery bag. She fidgeted uncomfortably and placed the snowberry back in your bad. "Sorry.." she squeaked in a small voice. "I just don't get to see them often, they come from my homeland and I haven't been back for a long, long time! Everyone knows that snowberries are very special berries. They are very cold, and they stay cold even in warm weather and are a great substitute to ice in a drink since they don't melt. What kind of a place would they grow? Feeling your curiosity growing, it's worth a shot to ask the draik about her homeland, out where the snowberries grow. Besides, what's the worst that could happen? So these berries really came from your homeland? Could you tell me about it?" You asked. Sure!" She'd cheer happily.
![]() I was born at the bottom of the planet, the most deserted area of Neopia. A land with glaciers and mountains of ice that even Terror Mountain couldn't measure up to! With temperatures so cold that your tears would freeze on your cheeks and your spit would be ice before it hit the snow. Surely nothing could live here, right? Wrong! Ah, but life does exist and thrive in this barren landscape of permafrost; a very special species of draik in fact. These draiks are called Arctic Draiks, we are a fourth the size of a normal draik, and are very unique in every way. Some of us are more unique than others, which is especially how a young female (er, my mom) thought when she hatched her first born after two months of waiting. Unlike most of the others in the group, who where normally white or grey, her darling baby girl bore a deep steely navy coat speckled with countless snowflakes. Due to my very wild hair style, my mother named me Tosukey, meaning 'Mohawk' in our native language that is no longer used fluently.
We Arctic draiks are covered in a thick coat of fur which helps us keep cold and stay camouflaged in the snow. Our bodies are not warm, the heat actually kills us, though our body temperature is well below freezing and, with the help of our special fur, it stays that way. Since incubation time is so long, the young draiks are very able to eat for themselves and keep up with the adults when hatched, much like a duck or chicken. I found this very easy to do, though I still kept close to my mother in my beginning years. It wasn't long before I was an adult myself, helping catch fish and forage snowberries. We are only able to do foraging and hunting in the summer, since we have six full months of sunlight, with the winter being six full months of darkness. All of our meals are either the large silver fish that swim in the deep, cold water around our home, or the fields and fields of snowberries. We use the berries for food, and the plants for fibers fabric. I even had a baby of my own while I lived on the ice, a tiny white draik with faint grey snowflakes named Yajinko. Yajin was the reason I stayed happy out on the ice for so long, but also the reason I had to leave.. The small, furry draik would twitch slightly where she sat, as if the next part of the story was uncomfortable to tell, maybe even painful. Suke cleared her throat. "But we'll skip ahead.. passed that, that should save time!" She'd nod quickly and continue with her story. I eventually left my homeland down on the ice. I was as much as a relief as it was painful, as fur trappers had moved in to lavish on the bounty that an Arctic Draiks fur gave, being worth hundreds of thousands of neopoints for a single draik hide. They didn't think the draik itself was important enough, and that we wouldn't survive being shipped back inland, so they just killed us on the spot and took our skins. I left when the sport was just beginning to get popular.. The hardest thing about living inland in Neopia wasn't the long flight, or the days without food or water, it was getting used to the heat. I had never known true 'warmth' before I flew up here. I'd take refuge in coolers, ice cream stands, anything that was cold while my fur got thicker to keep me cold. Once I was nothing but thick blue fur.. life became bearable. I'd eventually meet Fluffy, and I suppose she became my 'owner,' which is something else that I had never had in my life. It wasn't any different then being wild, except that I didn't have to be sent to the pound. Fluffy owns a few other pets as well, and I was soon to discover that nearly all the pets inland had owners. Even though I had a new life, which was a good life, I can't help but think back at my life on the ice. I miss my son very much.. And I really hope that I'll see him again someday.

I haven't had a really good friend like Chii for a long time, we've been on so many adventures I couldn't even count them! We've met new friends, acquired new enemy's, got a couple bruises, discovered new places, drank strange potions, slept in hotels, tried to fly, broke bones, and have even been lost! I don't think there's anything I couldn't without him.
Me and Chii both found Okui at the same time when we entered a power plant, I don't remember why we went in.. I think we were lost and looking for directions. When we entered there was blood everywhere, but nobody in sight, then Okui came out, and I think he thought we were a threat at first, but quickly became a loyal friend. I'm not sure why his mood changed so quickly with us.

I believe that the makeables needed a major makeover, so I'll be making a new set, very slowly, one here and there, so please don't rush me. (: I'll get there. If you want to use the OLD makeables, you can view them a bit lower on the page.
1: Do not remove my name
Same rules as above. I will not add anymore makeables to this group.
