All eyes were on her, waiting expectantly. Why did she have to have all the answers? No one ever mentioned what a great job she was doing when everything was fine. But as soon as something went wrong, they all turned to her. What did she know? She couldn't let them know that there were times when she doubted herself. That was weakness to them, and it wouldn't be tolerated. Still, it was up to her as always. She stood up and looked into each and every face. She knew they would all be looking right back at her but she needed everyone's full attention. When she was sure she had it, she held up her glass into the air as a sign that she was ready for whatever was to come now. It was all she could do. They all got the hint and followed her lead as their glasses rose into the air.
