Beware the witch!

Another cackle from the mad witch rumoured to live within the Haunted Woods was heard yesterday. Citizens are urged to stay inside tonight with doors and windows locked tightly.

Stories have been told of a witch who kidnaps wanderers in the forest at night, which are then subjected to her dreadful, dark magic. A young boy said that the witch tried to persuade him and his friends to follow her into the woods. An unidentified traveler has claimed that he found her cabin, where the wailing of her captives could be heard. Many others have spotted her gathering ingredients such as mushrooms, herbs and even parts of animals.

The amount of truth behind these rumours cannot be confirmed, but citizens of Neovia are warned of going into Haunted Woods at night. They are also recommended to lock up their houses properly after nightfall, although there has not yet been any documentation of the witch being present in town. •
