Quote of the Week

His housekeeper lived a short walk from his house in a small, comfortable cottage just off the main street. Harker had been there only once before but found that he easily recalled the way as he strode briskly down the road, wrapping his scarf more securely around his face. Only the point of his golden nose stuck out, slightly reddened by the sharp sting of the cold.

The Top Ten gifts to give your Neofriend

Neopia is a bustling, energetic land full of endless activities for us to enjoy, from playing games to customization, exploring the different lands, and much much more. But of all of the things to enjoy in Neopia, in my experience the best part of Neopets is without a doubt making new neofriends to share those experiences with! If you’re anything like me, you like to surprise your neofriends by sending them gifts to show them just how much you care. Whether it’s for a holiday, birthday, or just because you’re feeling extra sappy, there is a perfect gift for every occasion! Below are, in my opinion, the top 10 best gifts to give your neofriends which are sure to please even the pickiest of Neopians. Remember that this is just a guide, and that everyone will have different preferences — and nobody knows your neofriend better than you :) 1. Neolodge Review: The Cockroach Towers

Are you tired of your same old boring routines? Or maybe just tired in general? Have you ever felt that you could be someplace else, meeting new people, trying new stuff, and having a little bit of fun and excitement? Or do you feel like you just aren’t getting the rest and relaxation that you know you deserve? If your answer to at least one of these questions is yes, then I know something that may just help with that! If you’re looking for a little bit of rest and relaxation sprinkled with some fun and excitement, and something a little different to start the new year off, then booking a stay at the Neolodge sounds like the perfect thing for you! There’s a whole lot of different lodging options, each with their own unique quirks and amenities, but it’s sure to refresh your mind and cheer you up no matter which you choose. To those who are unfamiliar, you can book a stay by heading over to the Grand Neopian Neolodge located in Neopia Central.

An interview with Nilo

Right in the middle of Neopia Central, a bit hidden beneath the green trees that surround this busy and colorful land, a friendly Kacheek stands wrapped in blue, waiting for the next Neopian to come. The wind plays with his scarf and with the yellow fur on his tail, as he pushes those big round glasses up his nose. His smile gets bigger as I approach, and I can see him waving even from this distance. Of course, it’s none other than Nilo! As he sees me getting closer, he starts shouting from afar. “Hi! Welcome, welcome! I’m Nilo, and I’m here to introduce you to-” He notices that I’m walking as if I’ve walked that path before, which is true, and stops talking. He doesn’t seem disappointed, though, but instead patiently waits for me to be right in front of him. “Hi, Nilo!” I say as I shake his hand. “Hello!” he replies. “You’re not new around here, I can tell. Do you need anything? Is there something that I can do for you today?” It surprises me that he’s not mad or sad for not greeting a newcomer. He keeps being as helpful and friendly as always. “Well, as a matter of fact, yes!” I put the backpack that I’ve been carrying this whole time on the grass, and I pull out a Sparkling Faerie Notebook and my trusty Asparagus Pen. I point at these items and say, “Mr. Nilo, do you have time for an interview today?”

"I ’m not cursed! Right Noir. Today is the day I will see the sunrise,” The young gray eyrie watched as the sky began to lighten with his black barbat perched on his shoulder. He watched as the sun rays began to rise over the leafless trees of the Haunted Woods. The stiffness in his feet traveled up his leg to his waist as the sun rose. With a sigh, almost no one heard the eyrie disappeared and, in his place, one could see only another gargoyle perched among them many that perched on the manor’s roof.

"An Unlikely Friend" by Username
Most Neopets had been born, hatched, or made in Neopia. In fact, it’s almost unheard of for a Neopet NOT to come from Neopia. Most Neopets know what it’s like to be an outsider in other lands, but even if one land is strange to them, home isn’t far off. Starz was an Aisha. A species of Neopet found almost everywhere, except Starz was different. He had six ears and strange markings on his fur. He wore a full body suit from his homeland. His homeland also happened to be a strange planet far, far away from Neopia.

"O h benevolent, loving-“ “Give me a break.” Shard the Carmariller was currently bugging her Usul’s human caretaker Ribbon for more food at their family meeting. Food which the family simply couldn’t afford at the moment. “Please miss, I’ve only eaten once today-“ “Daniel’s only eaten once this week.” The jelly Kacheek glances up nervously from his seat, fiddling with his horn headband. “It’s alright, I’m fine. If we get too hungry we can just eat some of me.” Saffri looks horrified at that proposal, her Aisha ears folding over her eyes. “Please Daniel! No need to sacrifice yourself for us!”
