Snowmuncher Game Tips

GAMES ROOM - Do you need that avatar from Snowmuncher, but can barely get above 3000? Or do you just want a trophy? Then this guide is for you. Although I have not been able to get a trophy, I have managed to surpass the 5000 point limit for the avatar many times. Here are a few tips:

Tip #1: Always go for the Bloat-B-Gones. It has been said many times, but is needed to be said again. If you do not get them, you will be at a much higher risk as these red potions decrease your .. fat level .. by 50%. If you cannot see one on the screen and there is nothing else to get, just go straight down until you see one.

Tip #2: On the first level, get ALL of the green gems. The green gems are worth 100 points. If you get too fat and die, restart your game. No way can you get the avatar if you lose on the first level. If you get all the gems and all the Bloat-B-Gones, you will have 600-700 points after the first level. However, and this is for all levels, pick the Bloat-B-Gones over any gems or other power-ups unless you have low bloatage.

Tip #3: At the beginning of each level, there are rows of the same colored blocks. A handy tip is to eat the first row and then drop down to the last row and eat that, quickly moving away before the others fall on you. You save a few percentages and you get more points because that is a combo. Also good if you do not see a Bloat-B-Gone.

Tip #4: Try to get the purple gems by dropping the block beneath a Snow Wurms. Try to also get them to die by dropping the another one beneath it. If you see that the blocks above the Snow Wurms are the same color as a close neighboring block, and you cannot drop that row as well, do not go for it. The block will stop and will not kill the Snow Wurm. If you accidentally release a Snow Wurm and it does not die, get the gem and run to the nearest Bloat-B-Gone. The purple gems are worth 200 points.

Tip #5: When you are at 100% bloated, do not eat any blocks. Just wait for the time to end and so you restart the level again. This way you can earn more points.

Tip #6: Get yourself to 50% bloated before you get a Bloat-B-Gone, especially in the first level for the first Bloat-B-Gone. You get more points this way, as eating a Bloat-B-Gone from anywhere from 0% bloated to 50% bloated results in a 0% bloated.

Tip #7: Get yourself to 100% bloated before you drop down to the next level. Again, more points, and at the start of every level you are at 0%.

Tip #8: If you wish, you can just wait at the end of level 2 on the last row of blocks for time to die. Level 2 introduces the Snow Wurms and by restarting that level, you can get another ~1000 points. Do this twice and you can get ~2000 plus the 600-700 from the first level and you are halfway there to the avatar. Level 3 introduces the time power-ups which can be handy but also add to your bloated level. Hopefully you can get ~1500+ from level 2 each time, and that would get you to ~3600 at level 3 with one life left. Just 1400 more to the avatar and level 3 has more Snow Wurms but much more stone blocks. However, if you aren't feeling lucky, you can just go straight to level 3 and hope to get more points than you would have gotten restarting level 2.

Tip #9: Rushing. This is a very important concept and is needed in most every level. If you have to go horizontal to get a Bloat-B-Gone or a gem, but there is a row blocking your path, just eat the bottom row and rush to the item and rush back before the row follows. This saves you a whole lot of trouble and time eating the entire row.

Tip #10: Look for blocks of the same color, but look for combos first. The blue and green blocks look alike, but the pink ones should be easy to spot. A combo is when a block falls on four or more blocks of the same color, or when four or more blocks of the same color fall, I think. I do not know the exact definition, but try to get blocks of the same color to stick together. I have seen that you can get a lot of combos in levels 1 and 2.

Tip #11: If time is running out and you are not very bloated, such as around 40%, just rush down to the end of the level. That means press space repeatedly unless you run into a Snow Wurm. Then hope you can get the blocks in the next row to stop falling by matching up with an adjacent block of the same color and use that row to get to the bottom. You do not want to run out of time unless you are planning to restart the level.

Tip #12: This is just me, but if I die before I reach 2500, I restart the game. Not anymore since I already have the avatar and you only need 2858 to get 1000 NP from the game. If you can get to 2500 with two lives left, then chances are you can get the avatar.

Finally, if you do not get the avatar on your first try, do not hate the game just yet. When I got the avatar, I also beat the Better Than You game and was happy. Practice makes perfect, and if you keep practicing at the game, you can find new tricks yourself. But if you do manage to get the avatar, keep trying to beat your high score. When I got the avatar, I had barely surpassed it with a 5008 score, but since then I rose that high score to 6083 and I might try to get it even higher. Hopefully this article will help you with the avatar. Good luck!.
