Quote of the Week

The throwing knife scraped Lisha’s dress. She’d barely moved out of the way in time. Without a second thought, Lisha gripped her wand of ultranova and swung it in the direction of her assailant, sending a powerful pulse through the air. The purple Nimmo was pushed from the bushes into the wall. Lisha felt her lungs grow colder. Her quick move was very inefficient and had used much more magic than necessary. The Nimmo she had hit fell to the ground, motionless on impact, and looking much worse for wear. She ran to him and took a closer look, just to check if he was okay.

10 of the Best Petpets You Didn’t Know Existed

In a world full to the brim of Faellies, Wherfies, Babaas, and Meepits, you might be wondering how much more is out there. Well, I’m here to tell you that there are tons of petpets that need loving pet buddies! In fact, here are SO many petpets in Neopia that it can be hard to keep track of them all, especially those that cannot be painted; they tend to fall by the wayside quite often. So, I’m here to point out ten of the best petpets you either didn’t know about or simply forgot about.

How does it reflect on your personality and interests? Read on to find out!

A Guild — A Place You Can Call Home

One of the factors that continue to draw me back to Neopets are the guilds. There are many ways to interact in Neopia whether it is restocking, avatar hunting, kadoatie feeding, earning trophies, and much more. There has always been one feature I have found to be the most enjoyable experience. That experience would be the guilds of Neopia.

"The Cause of the Cursed Jazan" by xenna_15
"Jazan, wait for me!” The young Kyrii glanced behind him with a sigh. “We’ve had to stop six times now! You’re too slow, Leta!” “It’s not my fault you’ve got longer legs than me!” the Yellow Kyrii stuck her tongue out at her older brother. “Maybe if you didn’t run so fast-!” “There you two are,” a voice above them said. They looked up to see a Blue Uni, barely older than Jazan, flapping his wings and looking down at them. He dropped to the castle floor a moment later. “The queen told me to find you two. She says you’re late for your magic lesson, Jazan. And you’re late for your history lesson, Leta.” The siblings groaned. “I hate magic lessons,” Prince Jazan muttered, crossing his arms. “Father makes them really difficult.” “At least you don’t have to learn the history of the queens of Qasala,” Leta made a face. “It’s boring.” Jazan tried for a smile, ruffling his sister’s mane of golden hair. “Trade you.” The princess grinned up at him. “You wish. Father’s mean. I’ll take Mother any day.” The Uni in front of them chuckled. “You two are funny.” he turned towards the princess, bowing a little. “Shall we go, your highness? I can give you a lift.” “Ooh, yes, yes!” she giggled excitedly, scrambling onto her friends back. “Thanks Nyte!” “Of course.” he looked back to Jazan. “Wanna go raid the kitchen after your lesson?” “Sure,” the Kyrii grinned. “See you guys later.” He watched as Nyte turned and trotted off, breaking into a run before soaring up towards the palace ceiling, listening as his little sister shrieked gleefully.

"The Pirate King Files - Virtupets on Lockdown" by ezel68
Agents Uchiha Zwiro and Mimi Kattel of the Neopia Central Defenders Unit had been sent to the Virtupets Space Station by their superior. According to the mission briefing, the Virtupets Defenders Unit required assistance on one of its missions. The Pirate Xweetok and pink Aisha were wearing regulation Defenders spacesuits in silver and white, with two stars on the chests showing their status as Rank II Defenders. The two were waiting on the hangar for the Virtupets Defenders to arrive. "You must be the Neopia Central agents," called out a voice from near their spacecraft. Turning, Uchiha saw two Neopets approaching him. The Neopets, a white Lenny and a grey Wocky, were wearing grey and red spacesuits with the insignia of the Virtupets Defenders Unit on the chest. The three stars on the Lenny's chest signified him as a Commander. "Uchiha Zwiro," Uchiha said, shaking the Lenny's gloved hand. "Commander Peter Lake," replied the Lenny. "Mimi Kattel, sir," Mimi said, shaking Commander Lake's hand as well. "Agent Greta Moore," introduced the Wocky, shaking the Xweetok and Aisha's hands. Once the greetings were over, Commander Lake produced a Virtupets tablet from his utility belt. Once he turned it on, a text document appeared on the screen.

"One Last Game" by gumgum101230
The three by three grid of raised stone squares was mocking me at this point. It was clearly a puzzle, as there were dozens of other identical puzzles scattered throughout Neoquest III. But with those other puzzles there was usually a cipher, or a scroll with a hint, or something that would help you figure out the answer. I had scoured the entire area looking for anything that could tell me the answer to the puzzle, but to no avail. The puzzle itself seemed to be an afterthought by the developers. It was in an empty room off of a random hallway in the coliseum level. An ear piercing shriek interrupted my thoughts. I turned around just in time to see a Giant Frost Weewoo come flying at me, its deadly talons raised. I unsheathed my sword but it was faster, and it pummeled me to the ground. My Virtual Reality Suit was well-worn and cheap to begin with, so I only felt a dull pressure on my stomach as my avatar was repeatedly slammed into the stone floor and raked with scythe-like talons. I turned down the volume on my headset so I could think past the constant ear-piercing shrieks of the Weewoo. I had dropped my sword when the Weewoo tackled me, so I just wildly flailed until I scored a hit on it.

10 of the Best Petpets You Didn’t Know Existed
Picking out your pet’s best buddy (well, second best compared to you!) is an important task, and none to take too lightly. This is especially true if you’re interested in attaching a petpetpet, which will disappear once attached if you detach the petpet. No point in spending all of that dough if you fall out of love with the petpet you chose!
