An odd little question: if we have Neohomes, then why don't we pay rent? Also, if we're legal citizens with bank accounts, then why don't we pay Neopian taxes? ~a0r10n
Neopia is not a perfect copy of the real world (thank goodness). Taxes do happen occasionally, though... just ask the Tax Beast.

It's the month of Storing... and I've come to store your Neopoints in my pouch!

Hi, MaybelleAvian here. I've been browsing the site and I noticed that some users have more than four Neopets! I got excited, thinking that I could expand my already-large family, but I got a message saying, "You can only have four Neopets." Why is this? ~maybelleavian
Those users have signed up for Premium. One of the perks of Premium access on Neopets is the ability to add a fifth Neopet to your account. You can find out more here.

Hi there, TNT! :) I am a huge fan of The Discarded Magical Blue Grundo Plushie of Prosperity (I mean, who can resist that sad little face?!?), but unfortunately, we don't seem to have very many items that relate back to him. This must be remedied! ~annsunshinex3
Perhaps the poor discarded Grundo plushie is sad because he thinks we've forgotten him? Let us remedy that! We will pencil in a little something for you guys. :)

So, one time I went to the Game Graveyard to play some haunted games (That's always fun, right?). Okay, well... I then saw a little bar on my computer moving back and forth. I thought that maybe it was a glitch, but then I saw TWO ghosts in the graveyard! I clicked away as fast as I could until they were gone. Is this a little thing that you guys added, or is it a glitch? I REALLY NEED TO KNOW. IT IS FREAKING ME OUT! *whimper whimper* ~petpet123456714
Oh dear, it seems the Game Graveyard is haunted. Not to worry, though; the ghosts there are mostly harmless.

I'm so happy you finally released the Plushie Magaral; I've been sending in requests for it for a couple of years. However, it doesn't seem to be activated. My paint brush does not work, no matter how many times I poke Maggie with it. ~shorte2002
It's been fixed! We also fixed the Desert Albat.

Go forth and conquer Neopia, new Petpets!

So, I was wondering: I know there are a lot of Neopian diseases, but I was curious whether certain real-life ones exist in Neopia. In this Neopian Times story I'm working on, one of the characters is supposed to have a cold. Is that okay? Please remove my username. ~username removed
Yup, that should be fine. A little creative license is allowed when writing about Neopia.

TNT! Why does the Fire Moehog Morphing Potion look like a Kau Morphing Potion? ~dercat000
Because they both have horns? Yeah, we're not sure how that happened. We're looking into getting it fixed; please stand by.

Yo, TNT. I loved the return of the Trick or Treat bags this year. One question: why were we able to understand the Tyrannian Weaponry shopkeeper? Aren't Tyrannian 'pets notorious for speaking largely in their own tongue? How does a Tyrannian 'pet learn Neopian, exactly, anyway? Cheers! ~niddyz
Though many Tyrannians speak only their native tongue, the Tyrannian Weaponry shopkeeper has spent many years studying common Neopian so he can understand his customers. He may not always admit it, but he understands. As for how he learned? He purchased language tapes from the Alien Aishas. They have a special machine that you turn on before you go to sleep and then you learn while you dream. It's pretty handy.

**HAPPY THOUGHTS**

Thanks. Thank you. For everything. I've been playing on Neopets for almost 10 years now, and as I approach my 18th birthday (Scary!) it's nice to reflect. Sometimes I've left, sometimes I've been consistent, and I've gotten muted or blocked my fair share of times. Out of all of it, though... man, it's good to have a place to call home, a place where I met my BEST FRIEND FOR ALWAYS, even though we live miles apart. She doesn't play anymore, but I do, and I'm glad I've stayed. You guys rock. So, thanks. *rains chocolate* ~kunabee_tiger

I'm cheering for you from the sidelines, TNT. My workplace is going through a major transition and ownership change that was just announced. Our locations are all closing and our entire workforce (around 900 people) will be disbursed into different divisions. It's a somewhat scary and uncertain time, but we are looking toward a hopeful future. So, I just wanted to tell you that the way you guys have kept your chins up during your transition is actually inspiring me to get through mine with an upbeat attitude. If I can survive it half as well as you, then I will be happy. I never thought something that happened on Neopets would someday so closely mirror my own life. Thanks, TNT, for your endlessly positive outlook and good job getting the site running again. Just take it one day at a time and remember to breathe. *hugs to you all* ~sauerkrautkid

Of Menaces, Hopes and Icky Space Food: Part Two
"Well, of course, otherwise someone might come and poison the food. That's why everyone must identify themselves," Tim explained, puffing up a bit with pride that he knew something his multi-mentor didn't.
