Jhudora: Truly a Good Faerie

by midnightsmores

--------

Jhudora is considered a dark Faerie in Neopia. But let's be honest, is she really that bad? Is there any proof of her evil deeds, or is it all hearsay?

I firmly believe that Jhudora is simply misunderstood. There are rumours of her so-called 'evil deeds', yet we never seem to have any proof!

Outside the city of Faerieland, on Jhudora's Bluff, Jhudora waits for Neopians to brave her temper and accept a quest. She is much kinder than other Faeries in that she allows you to use the Shop Wizard while on her quests. While a lot of the items she requests can be easily found, she does have high standards and expects them back to her in no later than 16 minutes and 40 seconds. After you've completed a few quests for her, she does start to expect more from you. Once you've completed 27 quests, she will start to ask for items that even Fyora would be shocked at! Rarity 99 items are exceptionally rare, but that won't stop Jhudora from demanding you find them for her within her time limit! Fear not, should you complete her quests, she will reward you handsomely! Jhudora offers exclusive items to her brave questers, such as Jhudoras Potion, Portable Cloud, Bartamus, and even a Wand of the Dark Faerie. The Wand of the Dark Faerie is a prize that only the most valiant questers can achieve! Many say she collects these items for an unknown malicious purpose, but I think she just wants to give Neopians an opportunity to enjoy rare items and to share her unparalleled powers! She will also reward you with an avatar by completing a quest on February 4th and/or completing quest #20 for her! So she can't be all that bad, can she?

There is a rumour that a young Kacheek named Welldap attempted a quest for Jhudora, but unfortunately returned with her request too late. It is said that she punished him in some extreme way, never to be heard from again, but I think it's just a rumour. Probably something that Earth Faerie, Illusen, came up with to tarnish Jhudora's reputation.

As if rewarding Neopians with treasures untold wasn't enough, Jhudora continues to spoil us with foods beyond our wildest dreams! Purple and green slushies, candies, and even pasta are available for the consumption of the bravest Neopians. There's no better feast than one that honours Jhudora while also putting your dinner guests under her spell! Never mind, there's no such side effect. Er anyway - Don't let the colour turn you off. Purple pie is just as delicious as whatever Illusen is serving in her glade.

Speaking of lllusen, the resident Faerie of Meridell, she is the sworn enemy of Jhudora. Many across Neopia seem to think that she is the good of the two, but I have yet to convinced. Allegedly Jhudora and Illusen had a huge fight and are now constantly working against each other. Some say that Illusen saw Jhudora performing a true act of evil, but we have yet to see any proof. Maybe she hid the details in Illusen's Diary. Or maybe Jhudora's Secret has the tale. Unfortunately, both are either difficult to find or under lock and key, so we may never hear the truth from Jhudora or Illusen. Another book, Jhudora and Illusen - The Untold Story reportedly has the mystery of their mutual hatred explained, but it poofs right before the secret is revealed! Interesting that Illusen has hate in her heart but is considered good, while Jhudora is seen as evil. Sounds like Illusen might have warped the true story in her favour to hurt our poor, sweet Jhudora.

Donning a gown of purple and green, Jhudora is easily one of the more stylish Neopians. Due to Jhudora being such a gracious Faerie, she has allowed for replicas of her style to be available to all Neopians! You can fly to the greatest heights with Jhudora Wings! Or you can show off your new manicure with Jhudoras Fingernails! She even allows Neopians to strike fear into their friends with a hairdo by wearing Jhudora Wig! Does lllusen have such amazing wearables for all to show their devotion? I think not! Okay, maybe she has a few. But purple and green go together so much better than anything Illusen could come up with!

Even with the other Faerie's not trusting her and Illusen working against her, Jhudora has her own friends that always have her back! Sarah and Daisy, Jhudora's bodyguards are forever at her beck and call! They stand by her side, in her signature colours, defending the true good Faerie of Faerieland! Look at those faces and ferocious teeth! Aren't they just precious?

There is only 1 thing that Neopians can say for sure that Jhudora does that is evil, which is steal Neopoints from Neopians that are minding their own business. But do we really know if she is taking Neopoints with malicious intent? She could be donating them to the Money Tree, or giving them to Fyora to help keep Faerieland running! So even if she does take some of your Neopoints, I think it's going to a good cause! Even so, she sometimes will come by to give you a gift! That's right, a gift from Jhudora! She likes to give out Poison Muffins, Poison Jelly Erasers, and Poison Snowball Wands! Without a doubt, when Jhudora shows up out of the blue, or purple, she is doing a good deed!

In conclusion, I think you can all agree with me that Jhudora is indeed a misunderstood Faerie. She has given much of herself and her power to all of Neopia and only wishes for true harmony! Don't let her Evil Eye or dark fashion sense deter you from assisting her with all of her needs!

Wait a minute - I feel strange. It seems as if some Malice Potion was slipped into my Neocola! Jhudora is a good Faerie?! What a strange article!
