Farming Games Guide: Part Two

by nice_collector

--------

On the previous part of this article, I introduced you to the concept of a farming game. Just to summarize, it is a game that the only variable is the time requested for you to play. You can score as many as you want, since you are familiar with the important, but fairly simple strategy involved.

I also explained the strategy needed to be a farming master on the first five games of this guide. They were intentionally put in the first part because they also award you an avatar, besides the possibility of a new trophy for your collection. So they’re possibly the most important ones on this list. Moving on, here are another five games for you to execute your farming skills:

6)Beating Punchbag Bob – It's probably the easiest game on this list to get a trophy. To win the trophy, you need to beat the Punchbag Bob on the Battledome. As he doesn't attack you (he only defends from your punches), basically what you need to do is keep attacking him until he faints. On "Easy Mode", he has 5,000 points of health. If you don't have a strong pet, it may take about 10-20 minutes to beat him, but it's totally worth it, considering you will win a trophy by doing nothing but pressing the "FIGHT!" button.

7)Wheeler's Wild Ride – On this game, you will control Wheeler the Lenny through the Mystery Island with the goal to get as many coconuts as possible, to satisfy the hunger of the island god, Mumbo Pango. You will move Wheeler with his bike through three levels, each one containing three areas. You can move him front using the up arrow, and slow him down with the down arrow. You can also use the left or right arrows in order to perform some wheelies while on the ground, raising the bike 's back and front wheels respectively. Also, press the spacebar if you want to change the direction that Wheeler is facing. The game ends when you either end/finish the game or when you run out of coconuts, which can happen when you crash while doing a trick and if your time during a level ends.

While your goal in Wheeler's Wild Ride is to collect coconuts and reach the end of each level, neither of these will increase your score significantly. To maximize points earnt, you must perform some bike tricks as you move through the levels. The farming strategy basically consists in doing those tricks repeatedly, until you reach the score you desire. The trick that I recommend is the wheelie, performed by pressing the left or the right arrow key. For every second you stay with one wheel on the air, you gain five points. So what you need to do is find a nice place for you to do your tricks and keep doing that for a long time. But be careful, you have a limited amount of time to do so. If you let the time run out, you will lose a lot of coconuts, and your final score will be committed. If you are low on time, purposely crash on the floor by doing a trick and you will lose only one coconut.

But where is the best place to do so? As I said, there are 3 levels, each one containing 3 areas. But the one I suggest is stage 2-2. Every time you begin this level, you will have 50 seconds to score your points. So if you are optimizing your wheelies, you can score up to 250 points per coconut! Once you start this level, drop down to the plain area below from where you begin and do your wheelies for the most time you can handle. When you are running out of time, sacrifice one coconut by crashing on the floor (by holding the left or right arrow, you will do a salto and lose a coconut) and start doing the same strategy over and over. Once you reach the score you were looking for, end the game and send your score.

8)Legends of Pinball – It's typically a pinball game. You need to try to score as many points as possible, without letting the ball to drop. The game consists of four levels, each one with unique layouts and different ways to progress and move forward to the next one. On this game, you can score points by hitting the bumpers with the ball. You can also increase your score by completing levels. You gain 20 points for hitting the targets to win each level, which you need to get three times, and an additional 100 points from completing the level itself. As the game has four levels, you can earn 160 x 4 = 640 points if you manage to finish the game as fast as possible. You can easily see on the High Score Tables that there are players who can score up to 2,000 points, but how can they do that? The trick is going to be shown next.

I am not going to enter into details to the way of getting passed through them, but only going to explain you the farming method to score as high as possible on this game. The easiest way to score points is on the last level. Once you manage to move one ball to the dark drain on the top right of your screen, simply let it fall to the pin located on the middle of the two tabs on the bottom of the screen and when the ball goes there, click on it several times and see it respot on the drain. You don't have to worry about using your arrow keys to move the ball through the level (it's actually not recommended!), just do this trick and every time the ball respawn on the black hole, you are awarded five points. It can take a while for you to make a high score, but it's totally guaranteed, as you only need to place your mouse on the spot that the ball is going to be, and click on it right after it hits this spot. It may take a while, but with a few patience, you will earn a nice trophy with not much difficulty at all. When you are ready, end the game and send your score.

9)Wrath of Snowager – You begin the game with three lives. You could try to pass through all existing levels on this game, but it will not essentially ensure you the amount of points to win a gold trophy. In order to farm on this game, you just need to keep playing the first level until the Chia Thief eventually drops a "Extra Life" Power-Up. You can collect as many lives from the Chai Thief as you want. If you are satisfied with the amount of lives you have received, get the items that the Chia drops and sacrifice one of your lives when you have collected all the items but one (this will be 19 items to be exact). Your points will be kept and you repeat the process. This way, you will maximize the amount of points you get on Level 1. Of course, as is the essence with farming, you can repeat this pattern as many times as you want.

10)Hannah and the Kreludor Caves – This game has the same style of Hannah and the Pirate Caves and Hannah and the Ice Caves, but with a few additions. It's a standard platform game, where you move Hannah, the main character, through the Kreludor Caves (pretty obvious, right?). But on this adventure, Hannah is predisposed to finish the levels as fast as she can, because she is limited with her oxygen tank. Also, she can fly with her booster pack, which has a limit of fuel you will have to respect, otherwise you will only be able to move her through the caves by jumping, with no impulse at all. But don't panic, on some pre-selected places of each level there are tanks of oxygen and fuel that you can refill.

If you are looking to win the trophy of this game, you will definitely not reach a high enough score to be on the High Scores List just by playing the whole game from the first to the last level. So the basic strategy of this farming game is to simply repeat one level of your desire over and over, without the injury to lose lives and when you reach the score you desire, end the game and send your score. You can do that by doing the following: Before you start a new level, you have the option to repeat one level of your choice, simply by choosing the "Back" option instead of the "Play" one after you pass one level. You can choose any level you want to repeat, just opt for the one you feel more comfortable at, or the one that you can do fastest and make the most points. My suggestion is that you keep repeating Level 3. It's an easy and fast level, there are lots of oxygen and fuel tanks around the whole level. If you can do it fast enough, you can easily make 2,000 points per level, or even more with a little bit of practice, thus maximizing your time spent.

“On the plus side – the rain has stopped.” Dark the Darigan Draik said cheerfully, as his best friend was bent over a bucket, the tips of her fluffy pink ears visible – and slightly green. She heaved again, and he patted her back soothingly.
