An Extensive Look at the NeoLodge

by sherlockpwns

--------

We get it. After taking care of your Neopets for such a long time, sometimes you need a break. You have to scrub out the Neocola stain they got on their brand new shirt you had just purchased from the NC mall, clean their rooms, feed them (which is quite expensive, considering sometimes they are very picky and only eat gourmet foods!), play with them, customize them, and take them to school. All of this can be very rewarding in the long run, though sometimes it can just be downright exhausting. Searching for a break? All of the pet-sitters in your neighborhood ridiculously expensive? Then you’ve come to the right place!

The NeoLodge is a wonderful place to keep your pets for short periods of time (1 day) up to long periods of time (28 days)! This option is perfect if you are low on NPs and you need to feed your pets, or if you’re going on a vacation and need someone to watch your pets!

If you’re considering dropping off your pets to the NeoLodge, please continue reading!

The NeoLodge offers a variety of services, ranging from Laundry Facilities to a Jacuzzi/Spa! Rest assured knowing that your pet is in good hands, as breakfast, lunch, and dinner is served daily! Worried about that Meepit Juice stain that won’t come out of your pet’s brand new Burgundy Striped Pullover? The NeoLodge offers amazing services that will get that stain out of your pet’s favorite shirt in no time!

Are you worried that your pet has been too much of a couch potato lately, with school weighing them down? The NeoLodge offers a variety of fitness coaches! Your pet can play Tennis with their siblings on the Tennis court or go for a run in the Fitness Center. While your pet is working out, a maid will come in and clean their room!

Worried about pricing? Worry no more! For an extended stay at the NeoLodge, you don’t have to spend more than 140 NPs per pet! Is that still too pricey for you? Do a game of Kass Basher to send all four, or five, Neopets to the NeoLodge for a wonderful stay!

Neopets offers several different hotels. Your pets can stay in one of three hotels: Economy, Luxury, or Deluxe. Economy is for users who are low on NPs and are unable to upgrade to a pricier hotel. There is nothing to be ashamed of if you use this hotel!

There are three hotels in the category, Cockroach Towers, Fleapit Motel, and Cheap Motel. The first option is only 5 NPs a night, costing only 140 NPs for 28 nights if you decide not to add any extra (though, it is highly encouraged as your pet will have plenty more to do)! The Cockroach Towers name comes from the plentiful cockroaches that scurry on the floor of your pet’s room. While completely unsanitary, the cockroaches shouldn’t bother you if you don’t bother them. In fact, it is encouraged to feed the cockroaches your leftovers from dinner. Shimmery Seagrass is a favorite for all of the cockroaches!

The Fleapit Motel costs only 10 NPs a night if you insist on getting a hotel without any insect infestation. Though the price is double that of Cockroach Towers, it is not much better. While the cockroaches are at a minimum, rat infestation is at its peak. This is a good hotel if you’re low on NPs, as it is slightly better than the former hotel, Cockroach Towers. Don’t depend on it being a luxury hotel, though!

The final hotel in the Economy category is the Cheap Hotel. The name derives from plenty of Neopians staying here have the NPs to stay in a Luxury Hotel, but refuse to do so in an attempt to save up money. While the name gives it a bad connotation, this hotel is plenty better than the two former hotels mentioned! The Cheap Hotel comes at a low price of 15 NPs per night. True, it’s triple the amount of Cockroach Towers, but it’s triple the quality! Compared to the former hotels, Cheap Hotel showcases the fact that there is no insect/rodent infestation of any kind. Cheap Hotel is a good hotel to put your pets in if you’re lacking NPs, but don’t want to send them to a gross hotel!

The next category is Luxury! These hotels are for Neopians who have plenty of NPs to spend in their bank. This is a good category if you want to send your pet to somewhere nice, but don’t want to spend a gargantuan amount of NPs. Luxury hotels boast four hotels, Mountain Lodge, Ye Olde Ship Inn, Hotel Opera, and The Royal Neopian.

Mountain Lodge is a perfect hotel to send your pets if you are an adventurous type. Nestled in between two mountains, the Mountain Lodge offers your pet a variety of activities. The rooms are made of solid wood, and soft wool sheets (don’t tell the Babaas!). Your pets can go skiing down Terror Mountain in the winter and cuddle up to a warm fire while sipping some Fiery Seasonal HOT Chocolate. The only thing to watch out for is the cold and the Snowager! The Mountain Lodge is a good 30 NPs per night, with no extras.

Ye Old Ship Inn is a slightly pricey hotel, but it’s worth it! It costs 40 NPs per night with no extras added, but if your pet is a Maraquan pet or just generally loves the sea, this is a perfect place for them to rest! Fresh Blandfish is caught every morning and served for every meal. Don’t like fish? Vegetarian? No need to worry, Tofu Salad is also served for every meal for the pets that prefer no meat!

Hotel Opera comes in at 50 NPs per night with no extras added. If your pet loves showbiz, this may be the perfect place to send them. While the price may seem steep, the wonderful talent boasted through the hotel is well worth the price. Many famous musicians have spent a night or two in this operatic hotel, including Stick N Stones, Wock Til You Drop, and Jazzmosis! The menu boasts the musically inclined coffee, Java Jive. Hotel Opera also showcases its gallery of Usuki items, including Usuki Singing Star #1, Usuki Singing Star #2, and Usuki Singing Star #3.

The Royal Neopian is a wonderful place to send your royalty-painted-pet for a fantastic night or nights. It may seem not worth it, as the price is a heavy 80 NPs, though that is untrue. The Royal Neopian has been home to plenty of famous Neopians, including King Skarl and his brother, King Hagan! The Royal Neopian boasts a rather fantastic library that drew King Hagan in. Books there include A History of Royal Scorchios, the Royal Book of Coloring, and Princess Amira’s Journal. Food served there is only for the utmost important Neopians, ranging from Royal Blue Cheeseburger to Pretty Purple Princess Negg!

Finally, we have reached Deluxe. The Deluxe category proudly showcases three hotels, Faerie Castle, Presidential Palace, and Astrovilla! These three hotels are for the wealthiest Neopians, including Queen Fyora and even the dreaded Dr. Sloth.

Faerie Castle is the first on this list, coming in at a hefty 100 NPs per night. While the price may seem overdrawn, it is definitely worth it for all of the luxuries it provides. Plenty of faeries have stayed here, ranging from the elusive Fountain Faerie, all the way to Queen Fyora. The staff is made up entirely of Faerie’s, and the menu boasts every single Faerie food you can imagine! From the cheap Space Faerie Cupcake to the expensive Fyora Apple, handcrafted by Fyora herself! There is a year long waiting list, so you better book yourself a room now!

The second most expensive hotel comes in at Presidential Palace, a place for only the most important Neopians. Dr. Sloth prides himself in coming here, though plenty of good-hearted Neopians come here as well! The menu boasts several items, including Gluten Free Snack Basket, Caffeine Free Neocola, Dairy Free Latte, and Sugar-Free Tooth Faerie Cake. The Presidential Palace holds classes that will teach you how to become a leader. You can go shopping in the store for items such as Flotsam Band Leader Trousers, Lutari Band Leader Baton, and Fancy Free Uni.

Lastly, Astrovilla comes in at a hefty price of 500 NPs per night! With extras added, if you were to stay at the Astrovilla for 28 days, you would drop 15,960 NPs on one Neopet! Only the most important Neopians are allowed to stay in the Astrovilla, meaning only Queen Fyora, the Space Faerie, and you! Astrovilla circles just above Neopia like a satellite, just below the Virtupets Space Station and Kreludor. There are plenty of exotic and tasty foods for your pets to enjoy, like Space Faerie Crisps, Tofu Space Slug Soup, and Comet Lollipop. A gigantic library twice the size of the Presidential Palace is showcased in Astrovilla. Practically every space-related book resides in there, boasting books like Adventures in Space, The Pea From Outer Space, The Sun and You, and Star Chronicles. Your pet will never be bored if they reside in Astrovilla, there are plenty of activities for them to attend to. They can play with toys like Kyrii Rocket Boots, Rocket Crayon, and Kreludan Moon Rock. Other activities include exploring outer space, taking a trip to Kreludor, and testing zero-gravity. No matter the pet, your pet will always have fun!

No matter your financial budget, your pet’s personality, and your pet’s food preferences, there is always a place to send your pet where they will surely enjoy! May it be the Cockroach Towers, a dirty place for a great price, or Astrovilla, an extremely expensive visit for an out-of-this-world experience?
