The Elements of Neo Astrology

by hopeandjoy

--------

Have you ever wondered about your Neopets personality and why they act the way they do? One way to explain their actions and personality is by astrology and when your Neopet was born. Depending on what month your Neopet was created in, there is a constellation that corresponds to that month and the sign your Neopet is. For example, if your Neopet was born in the month of Sleeping, their sign would be the Darkest Faerie, or the sleeper. Instead of describing each sign, I am going to dig a little deeper. There are four elements in astrology- water, air, fire and earth. I am going to explore each element that corresponds with each sign and discuss your Neopets personality based on what element they are. This will better your understanding of your Neopets personality and what type of things they enjoy! Let’s get started.

Air Signs

If your Neopet was born in the months of Awakening (February), Relaxing (June) or Collecting (October) then they are an air sign!

Air signs are all about action, ideas, and motion—they are the “winds of change.” While some within their ranks may be true-life “airheads,” others are as powerful as a gravity-defying force. Air signed Neopets bring everyone a breath of fresh air when things start to get stale. Like the breeze, you can’t quite catch them, and you never know where they’ll drop you once they sweep you up. It will almost always be an adventure, though. They are very free and don’t like to be contained, so make sure your air signed Neopet ventures out from their Neohome and explores Neopia. They tend to be unpredictable; so don’t be surprised if your air signed Neopet buys Neocash when you aren’t looking. Air signed Neopets are caught up in their thoughts which take them high to new levels where no other element can reach, like the upper atmosphere, or Kreludor.

If your Neopet is an air sign I would suggest painting them: Cloud, Faerie, or Eventide.

Air signs are very calm, cool, and collected and love being in the sky, or just looking at the sky. Painting your Neopet cloud will really help them feel relaxed and calm at all times, they will be able to drift whever they please and will always feel very light. Faerie is also a great option because this will give your Neopet wings! Your Neopet will be able to fly in the sky which is something air signs really enjoy, being able to be one with the air. If your Neopet doesn’t like either of those options, they can opt for something a little more fancy like Eventide and have the whole sky on them, from the darkest colors of space, to the blue sky, and the red sunset.

Earth Signs

If your Neopet was born in the months of Sleeping (January), Hunting (May) or Gathering (September) then they are an earth sign!

Earth signed Neopets always keep it real. They are the “grounded” Neopets on Neopia, the ones who bring others down to Neopia and remind others to start with a solid foundation. Slow and steady, these “builders” are loyal and stable, and stick by their friends through hard times. On good days, they’re practical; at worst, they can be too focused on the surface of things to dig into the depths of the ground. Earth Neopets are solid and stable and composed of many different parts, they are multi faceted Neopets, like the many mineral compounds that make up Neopia. There is nothing wishy-washy about them; they do not have their head in the clouds (like air signed Neopets). These Neopets are dependable; you know they will always be there for their friends when they are needed.

If your Neopet is an earth sign I would suggest painting them: Woodland, Relic or Camouflage

Earth signs really love to blend in with their natural surroundings on Neopia. Woodland is a great option because all of the woodland colours really blend in with the natural, beautiful nature of Neopia. From bark, to flowers, your Neopet will really feel like a true earth sign when painted Woodland. Relic is a good color if your Neopet really identifies with being almost like a rock. Finally, camouflage will help them blend into any situation they don’t feel comfortable in (which can happen with the earth’s sign stubbornness.)

Fire Signs

If your Neopet was born in the months of Eating (April), Hiding (August)

or Celebrating (December) then they are a fire sign!

Like fire itself, fire signs tend to be passionate, dynamic, and temperamental. Fire can keep you warm. While fire burns out quickly without fuel to keep it going, it can also regenerate its power from the ashes. Fire can change it's course at an instant, those Neopets born under fire astrology signs are very dynamic and like the fire spreading, are the first to set out into the unknown and take initiative with adventurous enthusiasm. Fire signed Neopets need to be nurtured and managed carefully. They have very big personalities; whenever they enter a room their fire radiates and warms the whole room, and they are always noticed. They are natural born leaders and are great friends because of their warming personalities.

If your Neopet is a fire sign I would suggest painting them: Fire, Magma or Electric. As I explained, fire signs enjoy being warm and showing off their fiery personalities! Painting your Neopets any of these colors will really show off the heat that is inside of them! Painting your Neopet fire will show the flames in their personality and on them, literally! Although you cannot “paint” your Neopet magma, your fire sign pet will not mind taking a dip in the magma pool during the correct time, in fact they will actually really enjoy it! Lastly, although painting your Neopet electric won’t let them zap anyone with fire, it will show your Neopets sassy side.

Water Signs

If your Neopet was born in the months of Running (March), Swimming (July), or Storing (November) then they are a water sign!

Intuitive, emotional and ultra-sensitive, water signed Neopets can be as mysterious as the ocean and waters of Mystery Island itself. Like water, they can be refreshing, or they can drown you in their depths. Security is important to them—after all, water needs a container, or it dries up and disappears. They like to live in one place, and have a stable Neohome, they don’t like being relocated and would not mind living in Mystery Island, going to the beach, and doing that every day. They like the simple things in life. Water signed Neopets are the most emotional of all signs, they flow down deep and search out crevasses to explore. Since water is found in everything everywhere, water signed Neopets have a knack for dealing with others, they can see into others, they understand the motives and needs of other Neopets. They are empathetic, caring and helpful but they are over sensitive and can be easily hurt by others who do not acknowledge the sacrifices that have been made and how deeply involved they really are.

If your Neopet is a water sign I would suggest painting them: Water, Maraquan or Mystery Island.

Water signs, just like their name, love being by the water or being in the water. Any of these colors will make your water sign truly feel at home. Painting your water signed pet water will truly show off their sign. Water signed pets also love to swim and would totally be happy being maraquan and being able to swim in Maraqua anytime they please. If they don’t want to be in the water all the time, painting your Neopet Mystery Island will give them a tropical island vibe they always wanted, and they will live in Mystery Island right by the beach so they can visit whenever they please!

If you have any questions about your Neopets element, don’t be afraid to Neomail me! I hope this gives you a better understanding of your Neopets personality, and maybe this guide will inspire you to paint your Neopet a color that is inspired by their element and when they were created!
