Pesky Game Avatars - Freaky Factory Edition

by fr0zenpeanut

--------

First thing first, this game can get incredibly frustrating when you're trying to get the avatar so I especially do not recommend this game if you are in a bad mood. It'll only make things worse! If you find yourself getting frustrated, take a break! When I got close to the avatar score and lost and I would spam click out of frustration and let me tell you, your spill meter will go out of control that way. If you get frustrated easily, try playing just a few times a day. :)

So let's get to it, I'll break the game down into the 2 most important parts and then I'll give you some tips on how to maximize your score.

Kreludite Blobs

Those red, blue, and yellow blobs moving across the top are the number one part of the game. You just need to click them and make them fall into the appropriate color vat. You have to watch out though, because how fast they're going will also dictate how fast they fall. If you click a fast moving blob right over the vat, it's just going to fly right by. That's really the first thing you're going to want to master. If you have a handle on that, make sure you also have a handle on getting those fast moving ones in their vats! Sometimes you're seriously lacking on one colour and get stuck if you can't get the blobs in time. Missing any blobs, especially when you're lacking that colour, can pretty much end your game right then and there. It's also very important to make sure they fall in the correct vat, because on the side of the screen you'll see your spill meter; if it fills up, it's game over! Overfilling the vats can also really hurt your spill levels, so try not to drop any big blobs in when you only need two units to fill up the vat.

On the bottom right of the game, you'll see the species and color of figurine it's asking you to make. You can check out the pet and colour worth if check out the instructions in game. Just be sure to pay attention to which colour it's asking for!

There are some special blobs you need to keep an eye out for as well.

There's an evil-looking version of the blue, red, and yellow blobs that just makes your spill level go up. Do not click these ever! For red and blue, they enter on the wrong side of the screen so you can't miss 'em.

There is also a HUUUUUUGE version of the blue, red, and yellow blobs that seriously overflows the vats so only click these in an emergency.

The purple blob with yellow wings is for speed; it makes your conveyor belt speed up by a bunch.

The ice blob slows your conveyor belt way down.

The angel blob fills up the vat you drop it in all the way up. It's very useful, try to get those! If you accidentally drop one on a figurine, it gives you a bonus. I wouldn't try to do it on purpose, but if it happens then cool!

The soap blob cleans up your spill level.

The glowing blob upgrades the the colour of the figurines on the conveyor belt. So red becomes orange, or orange becomes rainbow. Also very useful, helps gain a lot more points.

The clock blob adds time back to the timer.

And finally, the best, the atom blob fills all three vats up. It's only around at later levels but wow is it helpful!

The Conveyor Belt

Lots of stuff going on in the lower part of the screen! So you see the figurines moving across, and WHAT WHO IS THAT GRUNDO?! HE JUST STOLE MY FIGURINE I WORKED SO HARD TO MAKE. Yeah, that Grundo is a real jerk. Bop him on the head before he steals anything. Don't get too hasty if it's important you get a blob though, he only steals with his left hand so if your figurines aren't near him yet, you have time. You can also hit him over the head with a Kreludite blob. It's quicker but if you miss him you could risk losing a figurine and increase your spill level. Speaking of, if you miss the vat when you click on a blob and it lands on a figurine, it'll change the color! So try not to do that as best you can. But at least it's better than spilling all over the place.

You can also see how many figurines you have left to make, but for the most part, I'd say try not to look at it too much. Kind of like checking the time, it doesn't do anything but distract you. Try to keep your eyes on the blobs, your vats, and that pesky Grundo as best you can. Don't be too oblivious though, it's good to know what you're dealing with.

Well, you have the basics down, so let's get to the real tips.

You get a time bonus, a bonus for any extra figurines on the conveyor belt, and a bonus for the toys in queue when you finish the level. As you're playing you can earn a consecutive bonus.

On the first two levels, and maybe the third to an extent (depending on how lucky you get), fill up the other two vats instead of the one the game is asking for. Then, wait for a big blob or multiples to fill up as much as you can. In the first level, you can easily get all 10 figurines required and get a major consecutive bonus. You can get 150+ points in the first level doing this, and I would try to get as close to that as you can every time you try. You might think 20 points or so isn't that important, but it is very, very important to maximize your score early as much as you can so you have less stress in the later levels!

Use the special blobs to your advantage. The glowing blobs can help your score so much. The speed and the ice blobs can help you earn bigger consecutive bonuses if you use them at the right time. Sometimes it's better to avoid them though. Clocks and clean-up blobs are so SO SOOO important.

If you aren't comfortable with your abilities to hit the Grundo with Kreludite, just don't. I never managed to perfect it and it wasn't worth spilling so much.

In the later levels, try to fill up the vats as quickly as you can! Unfortunately, there will be quite a few times where you'll be stuck waiting for one colour and run out of time. Don't get too upset, it's just a matter of time before you get that lucky game.

If you can't get up to around 900 points in even a not-so-great game, you probably need some more practice. (Aside from the few times where you get stuck waiting for blobs in the 600-800 range.) If you can though, it's mostly just a matter of getting a good game where you get the blobs you need at the right time. Just keep playing, you'll get it!

This is one of those games that might seem impossible at first glance. It's not, but you will need a bit of luck on your side. Now go play!
