Dressing for Summer

It's Summertime and our Neopets want to go on holiday. Yes, they absolutely deserve a relaxing vacation after spending Y15 battling in a wearing war and supporting their team during the last thrilling Altador Cup!

Do your Neopets have the perfect look for a vacation on the idyllic Mystery Island? Have you already packed their suitcases?

Well, if you are a bit confused, keep reading this article and maybe you won't bring with you a Brown Winter Scarf or a Simple Fur Lined Cape!

I thought of different female and male outfits based on neopoints multispecies wearable only. I also tried to suggest cheap items, so those outfits will be perfect for every species and for all budgets!

FEMALE OUTFIT:

1. Day at the Beach Background

This amazing background was given out by the Advent Calendar in Y14. It is really cheap but extremely detailed and you can easily find it in shops for around 600 neopoints. This background is perfect to recreate the atmosphere of a luxurious and exclusive resort!

2. Island Leaves and Flowers Foreground

This foreground is a bit more expensive than the background because it costs around 22,000 neopoints. It's a must have if you want to make your outfit as tropical as possible. If you don't want to spend so many neopoints you can fall back on Shrubbery, an efficient and cheap option!

3. Hanging Fronds

Spending only around 8,000 neopoints you'll buy a really versatile and fantastic higher foreground item. The Hanging Fronds are essential to shield your Neopet from the burning rays of sunshine!

As I told the Hanging Fronds are versatile and you can use this item also for adventurous-themed outfits!

4. Flowery Multicolour Spring Wig

This vivid wig was given out as a prize for the Y15 Festival of Neggs. Don't worry if you didn't participate in the last Festival; you can easily find it in shops for around 6,000 neopoints. The Flowery Multicolour Spring Wig is a really nice item and it gives a casual look to your Neopet. Its colours are pleasant and harmonious and this adorable wearable is a great closet investment, because it looks really pretty on almost every species!

5. Basic White Shirt

You can buy this wearable item from the Ever Stocked General Store in Neopia Central. The Basic White Shirt is simple but not trivial and can be used in a lot of customisations due to its neutral colour.

6. My Sisters Frilly Skirt

This lovely skirt was given out by the Advent Calendar in Y8. If you missed the event, you can easily find it in shops for around 10,000 neopoints. It matches perfectly with the Flowery Multicolour Spring Wig and the other accessories used in our Summer customization. It has a light texture that is ideal for a day on the beach.. Your Neopet will be fashionable without being warm!

7. Intricate Enamel Negg Bracelet

This wonderful bracelet was given out as a prize for the Y15 Festival of Neggs. The selling price is around 1,500 neopoints... it's a really good price for such a nice wearable item! The Intricate Enamel Negg Bracelet is indispensable for every female Neopets who doesn't want to give elegance up!

8. Colourful Cherry Blossom Necklace

This cute necklace was a prize for the Y13 Festival of Neggs. If you still don't have it in your wardrobe, you can easily buy it in shops for around 10,000 neopoints. This item is generally used for spring-themed outfits, but I think it's really perfect for our Summer customization due to its bright colours!

9. Delicious Smoothie

There is nothing better than a magical smoothie to quench your Neopet's thirst! You can buy it in shops for around 18,000 neopoints. Maybe you think that it is a bit expensive but I think it's a great investment because you can use it in a lot of customisations! If you want an alternative I suggest you use the cheapest Neovian Potion, a prize of the 2012 Games Master Challenge.

10. Neovian Serving Trolley

We want the best for our Neopets and this adorable serving trolley is a really touch of class! Its cost is around 30,000 neopoints. Yes, it's more expensive than the other items but the Neovian Serving Trolley is really versatile and useful... Once we don't mind how much we spend!

MALE OUTFIT:

1. Tropical Island Paradise Background

This magnificent background costs around 12,000 neopoints. It is full of details like the golden sand and the crystal clear sea. The landscape is uncontaminated and luxuriant... I think there isn't a background more suitable than this for our Summer customisation!

2. Jungle Flower Garland Cut Out

This wild garland was awarded for entering your pet into Neopia's Style Showdown during the 2009. If you didn't participate in the event, you can easily find it in shops for around 3,000 neopoints! It is an underestimated wearable item but the intense colours of its flowers cheer us up!

3. Tribal Fence Foreground

This is one of my favourite foregrounds for every summer- and tribal-themed customisation. The fence matches perfectly with the Tropical Island Paradise Background and the feathers hanging on this fence are a lovely detail! You can buy it in shops for around 2,200 neopoints... I think it's a good deal!

4. Not Enough Sleep Wig

This pretty wig was awarded during the 2012 Games Master Challenge. At around 35,000 neopoints a piece, it's not the cheapest item but gives the idea of windswept hair! It has a great potential and it looks really pretty on almost every species.

5. Jazzmosis Glasses

At around 5,700 neopoints a piece, you can buy this amazing glasses. Your Neopet will be really cool wearing the Jazzmosis Glasses and he will make his friends green for the envy!

6. Moltaran Charm

This is a really cheap item! You can easily buy the charm in shops for around 200 neopoints. The Moltaran Charm is perfect for a tribal-related customisation .

7. Singed Trousers

There aren't plenty of multispecies male wearables, so you have to choose among few clothes. This trousers are really nice and quite cheap; you can find the Singed Trousers in shops at around 28,000 neopoints. These trousers seems rough but they are very comfortable.

8. Dueling Decks Mynci Wrist Wrap

At around 5,700 neopoints, you can buy the Dueling Decks Mynci Wrist Wrap. The colour matches with the Singed Trousers and this wrap is perfect for a Neopet who loves sport clothes!

9. Fuzzy White Towel

At around 7,000 neopoints at piece, you can buy this versatile wearable item. It is both for male and female and you can use it in tons of customisations. The Fuzzy White Towel is the item that your Neopet needs to dry himself after a plunge into the sea!

10. Brightly Striped Surfboard

The surfboard costs around 27,000 neopoints. It's a bit expensive but this item is essential for every Neopet who loves sports! The colours are soft and this item is easy-fitting to other background and accessories.
