Go Gadgadsbogen!

by naughty_naz

--------

It's the Month of Running and Neopians everywhere are rushing off to one particular location – Mystery Island. That's right! Gadgadsbogen is here! Mystery Island's famous festival of delicious fruit; this long awaited celebration has finally arrived. The thought of savouring the exotic exquisiteness of an Elppa never fails to excite me. Yet I have also never failed to notice that a large majority of Neopets are unprepared for this magical event! According to a NeoSurvey last year in Year 14, only every 3 in 10 Neopians attended the festival.

Ever since last year, I've been rooting around all over Neopia curious as to why this is. Earlier in the month of Awakening, I finally figured out the answer – it's the lack of knowledge on the fruit itself! Although 100% of Neopians who tried the delicious zesty tropical fruit agreed, "It's definitely worth waiting a year for! Gadgadsbogen fruit can not be described but simply has to be experienced!" I now see that maybe factors such as the appearance of the fruit could be a problem. But I assure you, fellow Neopian, Gadgadsbogen is not a festival to miss out on. My name's Sensationality (call me Sensa!) and my owner Rida and I are here to reveal the most mouth-watering fruits ever that you all are sure to love!

1. Islandberry

I'll be the first to admit that this Islandberry may not look the most appetising out of its large assortment that's available. However, this Islandberry can only be found in the depths of Mystery Island and will be suited for everyone! This berry is at the top of the list due to its amazing mix of flavours! Although the classic red berries are succulent and sweet, the purple berries present a packed punch of purpleness. What's purpleness, you may ask? I like to describe it as a "burst of brilliance", but you, my friend, will just have to discover it yourself!

Most suited for Neopets who love a challenge such as: Aishas, Shoyrus, Kacheeks, Acaras, Usuls and Gnorbus.

2. Cocolatte Fruit

This fruit dazzled Neopians worldwide, classic as ever to its Mystery Island nature with its exotic aroma and unique taste. However, what makes this fruit truly special and so high on this list is its wondrous abilities to make Neopians feel revived and full of energy. Perfect for the working class, the Cocolatte Fruit is a crowd favourite, with popular use all year round. Older and wise Mystery Island inhabitants compare the ability to "coffee" therefore over the recent years; the Cocolatte Fruit is widely used in the production of "Spicy Mystery Island Coffee" – which can also be picked up at the Gadgadsbogen Festival!

Most suited for the working class Neopians such as: Grarrls, Lupes, Skeiths, JubJubs, Kaus and Techos.

3. Snowberries

Yes, Snowberries! Strangely enough, this fruit does actually originate from Mystery Island. Despite its arguably 'poisonous looking exterior' I guarantee you that these cool berries are worth the trek to Mystery Island. These Snowberries make the perfect light, refreshing snack on a scorching afternoon at Mystery Island and will definitely make your taste buds tingle in delight! After simply one sample, these fruity treats are usually a bestseller every year!

Most suited for Neopets who love to chill such as: Wockies, Bruces, Chias, Unis, Chombies and Boris.

4. Rainbow Doughnutfruit

This fruit is ultimately the coolest fruit that was ever discovered on Neopia. Just look at all those colours and the awesome shape! A mixture of all of the healthy nutrition a fruit has PLUS all the tastiness of a doughnut that's rainbow coloured! How great is that? It might not look edible; however, I assure you it is, which is why the Rainbow Doughnutfruit is a crowd favourite and there's also a large variety of Doughnutfruits. If you like the Rainbow Doughnutfruit (which I'm sure you will!), why not try a Spongy Doughnutfruit, Silver Doughnutfruit or if you're feeling brave, a Fiery Doughnutfruit?

Most suited for Neopets who have a bright personality such as: Scorchios, Korbats, Wockies, Buzzes, Flotsams and Blumaroos.

5. Super Gelupepper

Fed up of ordinary sweet'n'sour fruits? Here's something to really push those taste buds of yours to the max! Just a brief warning that citizens of Mystery Islands are not responsible for any harm caused by the extreme "edge" of the Super Gelupepper. There's usually a fun challenge every year at the Gadgadsbogen Festival to see which Neopet can stomach the most Super Gelupeppers! Will it be you this year?

Most suited for: no Neopet in particular, but by all means, go for it ;)

6. Melowhirl

Would you take a look at this? Instead of the ordinary 'Melow' fruit, Mother Neopia has decided to come back with a twist and has produced the Melowhirl! With all the fun as the original Melow; the light and refreshing crunchy delight that has satisfied Neopians for many years returns. The Melowhirl is a fruit practically unheard of unless you're truly dedicated to Gadgadsbogen which is why I've mentioned it in my top fruits list! Once you've tasted this fruit, you'll never forget it!

Most suited for Neopets who are like to blend with the crowd such as: Nimmos, Lennies, Eyries, Myncies, Moehogs and Meercas.

7. Orange Negg

Many Neopians always forget that Neggs are fruits too! A complete classic, Gadgadsbogen would not be Gadgadsbogen without the presence of a Negg. I've chosen the Orange Negg as it originates from Mystery Island and its exquisiteness makes it a real delicacy. As Neggs are so well-known, there's not much for me to say about them! But I bet most of you didn't know they were a part of Gadgadsbogen, did you?

Most suited for Neopets who love a treat such as: ALL NEOPETS!

8. Merryberry

This fruit contains a tangy twist that many Neopians aren't aware of! It will leave you cross-eyed with its sourness, but I'm certain that it'll be your favourite sour fruit! It sure packs a surprising punch however the Merryberry goes down very well with everyone who attends the festival! The Merryberry is actually quite appealing with its cute pattern and its name is certainly fitting for the occasion. In fact, it might become the top fruit this year at the festival – but you won't know until you go!

Most suited for Neopians who are feisty such as: Kougras, Yurbles, Tonus, Eyries, Pteris, Shoyrus and Jetsams.

9. Azzle

The exotically appetising Azzle surely entertains many Neopian's taste buds all over Neopia. Very often, many Neopians end up eating through the inedible core as they enjoy the fruit so much. Its prettily coloured layers indicate a different flavour! No two Azzles are alike; each one has a different combination of flavours, which is what makes it so special. For example if one Azzle is flavoured: sweet, sour, sweet, sweet, salty then another may be: sour, bitter, sweet, unknown. Yes, unknown! It's rumoured some Azzles were produced by Jhuidah and yes, cooked in the great Cooking Pot. Maybe someone will be blessed with a Pango Pango flavoured Azzle this year! Could it be you?

Most suited for Neopets who love a twist: Lupes, Chias, Peophins, Kyrii, Quiggles, Zafaras, Cybunnies, Draiks and Krawks.

10. Crunchy Skullberry

OK, OK, hear me out on this one. I must admit, this fruit doesn't look edible at all, in fact it looks poisonous, for all you new Gadgadsbogen lovers. But this flavoursome fruit left a massive impression on the whole of Neopia with its truly scrumptious sensation! The crunchy exterior perfectly combines with the savoury Skullberry filling inside! It's been heavily rumoured that apart from the nutrition value this fruit provides, it's said to increase a Neopet's fierceness! Care to test the theory at this years Gadgadsbogen festival?

Most suited for Neopets who are brave such as: Lutaris, Krawks, Ogrins, Rukis, Grundos, Acaras, Elephantes, Buzzes and Tuskaninnies.

11. Banango

Lastly on the list is the unusually combined Banango! The reason this is last is because this fruit was newly released last year and there's not much that's currently revealed on this fruit! However take it from someone who personally experienced this rare delicacy last year after queuing up for four hours, that the Banango is worth returning to Mystery Island for! A classic combination of two popular fruits perfectly combined to blitz those taste buds of yours in a frenzy of passion! Be sure to try this petite palatable treat this year if you haven't already!

Most suited for Neopets who like to try something new such as: All Neopets I hope!

Gadgadsbogen is here, fellow Neopians, and as it literally translates to "Good, good day!" I hope you all successfully literally celebrate this fine fruity occasion! Be sure to look out for the fruits I've mentioned in this article and I hope you truly capture the exceptional essence of this whole occasion. It is the month of Running after all, so run to Mystery Island and enjoy! Go Gadgadsbogen!
