The Gamer Guide: Petpet Cannonball
GAMES ROOM --- "Petpet Cannonball: Arr, the pirates of Krawk Island were about to do a bit o'cannon-training, but some scoundrel's stolen all their cannonballs. Not put off by this, old Captain Pucebeard has ordered his men to use anything roughly the same size and shape as an alternative."
Before starting this guide, I NEED to alert you, no petpets were hurt in this game. They were trained by Cap'n Threelegs', that's a secret between me, you and the Captain Pucebeard. *yarr*
So... let's learn how to score very well in Petpet Cannonball and maybe get a shiny trophy *yeah... I will* Sorry... I'm just trying to motivate you to get this trophy as soon as possible, after reading this guide, of course.
I won't teach you how to aim the petpet in the bucket, because I think that is a particular strategy; each one has its own way to aim and there isn't a rule or an exact position that you shoot and always get a petpet in the bucket. I have played this game for more than four years and I never finish without missing a petpet.
Anyway, this guide will work with your skills in the game; unfortunately if you don't know how to play, you'll need to play until you learn the basics by yourself, but you can continue reading this guide. You'll learn soon; it isn't hard. For the first time that I did play, I scored only 75 points and today I have the gold trophy, so... don't give up! :)
RULES AND CONTROLS:
The game is slightly simple, we have to use the arrow keys (only up and down) to aim the cannon and hold down the spacebar to raise your power bar until it's ready. The game starts with 10 tries and the objective is to shoot the petpet into the bucket. When you hit three petpets into the bucket, you will pass to the next level. The whole game has 8 levels, and by each petpet you hit into the bucket you win a new attempt, except when you have the maximum of attempts, that is 10, as mentioned above.
SCORES IN EACH LEVEL:
The chosen petpets for this game are the pirate petpets Snowbunny, Angelpuss, Tenna, Faellie, Babaa, Slorg and Buzzer; you really don't need to know the names... but you need to know that each petpet has its own weight and this is the most important thing. It will be shown in the game, but below you can see these weights:
- Snowbunny: 1.5 kg
- Angelpuss: 1.4 kg
- Tenna: 1.3 kg
- Faellie: 1.2 kg
- Babaa: 1 kg
- Slorg: 0.9 kg
- Buzzer: 0.8 kg
The Tenna deserve an emphasiss; this petpet is like a bonus and it doesn't appear in the game with the other petpets, so if you get one, take care and try do not miss. Below in order we have the score, for each petpet in each level, level 1 to level 8:
- 1.5 kg: 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50.
- 1.4 kg: 14, 19, 24, 29, 34, 39, 44, 49.
- 1.3 kg: 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70. (this is the bonus petpet)
- 1.2 kg: 13, 18, 23, 28, 33, 38, 43, 48.
- 1.0 kg: 12, 17, 22, 27, 32, 37, 42, 47.
- 0.9 kg: 11, 16, 21, 26, 31, 36, 41, 46.
- 0.8 kg: 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45.
For example, if you are in the level 5 and get a Tenna into the bucket, you will add 55 points to your score.
The secret to scoring extremely well for the trophy is simple too; you just need to shoot as many snowbunnies as possible. The perfect score with only snowbunnies is 780, but you don't need to try this. Read the tips:
Turn off the sound. I know... right now you may ask: "Why do we need to play most games with the sound turned off?" and right now you'll find your answer, the game themes are really pretty good, but when you are playing, it may distract you, then when you turn off the sound you will be able to concentrate more on the game.
Restart your game until you get a Snowbunny, Angelpuss or even a Tenna, if you want, and again you could ask: "Why do I restart my game until I get these petpets? Can I get so many points doing this?" No, but one single point can define the color for your trophy; just take a look on the high score table and you will understand.
Shoot only Snowbunnies, Angelpuss, Faellies and obviously the Tennas.
Shoot the other petpets only if you really need, I would like to suggest that you use Babaa, Slorg or Buzzer only on the last level.
When you're in the game with 10 attempts, shoot only the Snowbunny, because you have a chance to score one more point and remember "one single point can define..." (for example, if you shoot an Angelpuss you don't win other attempt, but you could shoot it off and the next shoot could be a snowbunny, you keep with 10 attempts and score one more point).
Babaa, Slorg and Buzzer, shoot them out.
At the end of the game, it doesn't matter how many attempts you have, if you have 10 or 1 you won't receive points for this number, so... for the levels 6 to 8 don't save your attempts only to finish the game or reach to the last level. If you need, you'll spend.
Now you can see, this game is so simple, there's no code for an extra attempt or something like this or even an avatar, but I like to play, cause we need some practice to finish and score for the trophy. *cough*
When I played, I had a lot of difficulty aiming the cannon, but for some reason I decided to play hard and after a few weeks I already had the trophy, and if I got it, someone else can get it too.
When you are ready with this game, you can play the world challenge; just click in "enter the challenge" and send your best score. You can win 3 wc pieces per day and if you win the 20 different wc pieces, you can complete the map, convert and win a paint brush, but I suggest you to search and read about the world challenge, and why not challenge your friends? Show off your new skills in this game.
I hope this guide be very helpful for you.
So... What are you waiting for? Are you still here? Let's play and win a trophy or some wc pieces!!!
I would like to thank the user pinkguinevere. We almost always play the games together, to learn how to play.

Tomos couldn't help but look around in amazement as he jogged down the street toward the Scarab hideout. To an outside eye, the bustle of the street looked normal. But Tomos knew...
