Attack of the Evil Applesauce!

      "Almost done with the picnic basket, Icepebble?" Moonstone called as she entered through the back door of Icepebble's house.

      "Almost, just putting some extra purplum on my sandwich," Icepebble called from the kitchen.

      Finally, when they were ready, Icepebble said bye to her mom and dad and went through the door. They walked past most of Neopia Central and decided to stop midway between Kiko Lake and Neopia Central.

      Icepebble and Moonstone helped each other lay out the quilt, then put out paper plates and utensils. Then they poured lemonade and passed out the food. They started to eat, when suddenly, the clouds started rolling in. They weren't any usual colored clouds; they were yellowish-orangeish.

      "It's not supposed to rain today, is it, Moonstone?" Icepebble asked, strangely looking at the clouds.

      "No, I checked on the Neopian Times this morning; it didn't say anything about rain..." Moonstone said.

      Then suddenly, it started to rain big globs of... APPLESAUCE?? Icepebble and Moonstone screamed and crawled under the quilt. The applesauce rain came down like bricks. It squashed the purplum sandwiches, melted the chocolate, popped the faerie bubbles, and spilled the lemonade all over.

      "Our picnic is ruined! And it's all my fault! I'm so sorry Moonstone I should've checked the Neopian Times again!" Icepebble had tears in her eyes.

      "It's not your fault," said Moonstone. She put a paw around Icepebble; she had tears in her eyes too. "One thing's for sure, we have to get home."

      They slowly crawled toward Moonstone's house with the quilt still over them. When they reached Neopia Central, something horrible happened. A large, strong hand came and pulled the quilt off! They screamed and looked up. It was a huge ball of applesauce shaped into a hand. The hand got bigger and bigger as the rain became stronger and stronger. It scooped up the girls and threw them toward the Virtupets Space Station.

      They screamed and screamed until they were there. They landed in a room that looked like an office. "Are you two enjoying the WEATHER?" said someone behind a large chair.

      "Who are you? What do you want??" Moonstone screamed.

      Then the chair spun around, and it was revealed to be Evil Dr. Sloth. Icepebble and Moonstone looked past him and saw a machine that said on it "EVIL WEATHER MACHINE". Moonstone and Icepebble gasped.

      Then, Dr. Sloth pressed a button on his desk and three evil attack Chombies took Icepebble and Moonstone to a chamber. They locked it and laughed evilly, then pressed a button that the girls could see very faintly that said, "applesauce fill."

      "What does th-" Before Icepebble could finish, a tube opened up, and started pouring applesauce into the chamber!

      "What do we do??" Moonstone screamed. Suddenly Moonstone's eyes got bright and she said, "Do you like applesauce, Icepebble?"

      "Well, not anymore; after this, I ne-"

      Moonstone cut Icepebble off. "That's great, but we should try my idea..." Moonstone said, smiling. Moonstone whispered it to Icepebble.

      "Are you sure this will work?" Icepebble said, taking the spoon from her pocket from the picnic.

      "It's gotta work," Moonstone said. Applesauce was up to their ankles now when Moonstone shouted, "GO!"

      They fell to their knees and started eating the applesauce! "I'll get the applesauce coming out of the tube; you get the extra on the floor!" Icepebble yelled, her mouth dripping with applesauce.

     Moonstone nodded, and kept eating. Then suddenly, she felt sick. "Icepebble! I can't go on! It's making me sick..." Moonstone suddenly fell to the floor in a ball.

     Icepebble screamed and ran over to Moonstone. Then Icepebble slipped on some applesauce on the floor and went flying across the chamber. Her stomach was so full that she broke through the wall!

     When Icepebble was out, alarms went off. She pressed a bunch of buttons and then over 50 tubes started springing out of the walls. Then Icepebble took Moonstone by the hand and they started to run out of the Space Station. There were guards everywhere, but they were running for their lives! Then Dr. Sloth came out and yelled. He started after Moonstone and Icepebble, but Sloth slipped on some applesauce and tripped all the guards!

     Then the girls found an escape pod and jumped in. "Move over!" said Icepebble.

     "Your elbow is in my stomach!" said Moonstone. Finally, the escape pod reached Neopia Central.

     Moonstone and Icepebble took one last look at the sky and watched the Space Station as it turned into a big ball of applesauce, then was gone.

     "Wow! We were great. Thanks for helping me out of the Space Station. I thought I was a goner!" Moonstone said, smiling.

     "Yeah. I never want to see some applesauce EVER AGAIN!" Icepebble said with a laugh.

     Moonstone and Icepebble hugged each other and went back to their own houses to tell their parents about the adventure that they had!

     "THEN A GIANT HAND CAME AND SCOOPED US UP THEN THREW US TO THE SPACE STATION THEN WE GOT THROWN IN A CHAMBER THAT WAS GETTING FILLED WITH APPLESAUCE! SO WE TRIED TO EAT IT ALL BUT MOONSTONE GOT SICK SO I SLIPPED AND BROKE OUT OF THE CHAMBER AND PRESSED BUTTONS THEN LIKE 50 TUBES OPENED AND IT FILLED THE SPACE STATION!!!!!! SO ME AND MOONSTONE GOT IN AN ESCAPE POD AND LEFT AND THE SPACE STATION WAS RUINED AND WE SAVED THE WORLD!!!!" said Icepebble to her parents. She was out of breath and felt sick.

     "Wow, a lot can happen during a picnic!" said Icepebble's dad.

     "Well, I am very proud of you kids for saving the world. But you could've gotten hurt," said Icepebble's mom.

     The next day, Moonstone and Icepebble met up at school, excited to tell everyone about the adventure they had. But when they got there, the school was gone! The principal, Mr. Techa, was standing there, looking at what was left of the school.

     "What happened?" Moonstone said to the principal.

     "The school got pelted with applesauce and the school is ruined," said Mr. Techa. "You kids will probably be out of school for about a couple of weeks while we try to repair the school."

     Moonstone and Icepebble giggled happily, knowing they wouldn't have to go to school for a while! "That was a great adventure we had," said Moonstone. "Maybe we could do it again sometime," she said with a smile.

     Icepebble laughed. But before she could say anything, they saw something rattling in the bushes. They slowly walked toward it. It popped out to appear to be Dr. Sloth!!

     "You... kids.... may have foiled my plans.... once.... but I will have my.... REVENGE!... Oh, what's the point..." said Dr. Sloth as he slowly walked away.

     "You're not getting off that easy..." said Icepebble. She walked over to her neomail and contacted the Defenders of Neopia.

     "NO!!!!!" yelled Dr. Sloth. He slowly limped toward Icepebble. Moonstone poked Dr. Sloth and he fell to the ground. Moonstone smiled.

     The Defenders arrived and took Dr. Sloth. "Thank you, children," said the Defender. He gave the girls each a lollipop.

     They were very happy as they sucked their lollipops. They knew they just caught a criminal, ruined the Space Station, and saved the world. They smiled and went home to make a new picnic. This time, they would bring their magic swords in case that ever happens again!!
