A Helpful List of Valentine's Gifts

One: A card. There are many cute, sweet, and even funny cards available to send to friends for all kinds of events. For Valentine's Day the best option is A Mysterious Valentines Card. Not only does this card let someone know you think they are awesome but it will also give you and the person you send it to a side bar! However, this card is very expensive. Two more affordable options are the Pop Up Valentine and a Heart Swirl Valentines Card. If you’re not a fan of either of these or you do not have the neopoints, then you can always get a card that is not Valentine's themed that says how great you think your neofriend is.

Two: Another classic option are flowers. There are some great Valentine's themed flower options. Some of the best flower items to me are the Valentine Rose Bouquet, Valentines Bouquet, Lovepetal, Scented Hearts Flower, Rose Tree, Valentine Centerpiece, and my personal favorite, the Pink Flower Bouquet. Just make sure you do not send anyone any Wilted Red Roses!

Three: Jewelry is not just for the world outside of Neopets! There are tons and tons of jewelry items available all over Neopia. For Valentine's Day I suggest getting something specific to the day so that the person can always remember that is what it was for. If you have a lot of neopoints to spend or just want to get one very special gift I suggest buying a Valentine's Day Ring. If your budget is a little smaller try getting for a Gold Valentines Ring, a Silver Valentines Ring, or a Ruby Heart Pendant. If you only have a few thousand neopoints to spend on someone than a Pink Heart Bracelet or a set of Valentines Earrings might be the right gifts to go with.

Four: Another great choice is food. And I am not talking about every day things like omelettes. If you want to give food, you really should make sure it is Valentine's related. The best part about the food options is they are some of the most affordable gifts and they will go to good use! A few good choices are Valentines Cookies, Valentines Muffin, Valentines Heart Shaped Chocolate Box, Sour Candy Hearts, Loveberry, or Heart Shaped Bon Bons.

Five: A plushie. Nothing says cute and loveable like a plushie. You can get any kind of plushie for your friend. I suggest getting one that is a color or pet or petpet that your friend really loves. If you don’t know what plushie would work best, then why not go with a Valentine related plushie? There is an entire line of Valentine plushies that would be perfect for February 14th. My personal favorites are Valentines Kadoatie Plushie, Valentines Kacheek Plushie, Valentines Hasee Plushie, and Valentines Bruce Plushie. However, these are just a few of the ones available. If you’re interested in finding other ones try searching for galleries that have one of the plushies I listed here, chances are they will also have others that you can check out.

Six: Something you can wear that says “Happy Valentine's Day!”. Right now the Valentine's Day outfits are fairly limited. In fact, the only article of clothing that is directly Valentine's Day related is the Valentine's Day T-Shirt... and that is not wearable at the time. There are also a lot of T-shirts that say I love –something- (Hornsby, Kadoatie, Spyder, etc.). There is also the option of Heart Shaped Sunglasses. Again, most of these items are not wearable yet. So, I would wait until Valentine's Day if you think your friend would really love some clothes... because hopefully The Neopets Team will be releasing some Valentine's Day related clothes that are wearable.

Seven: Things to decorate the neohome. This option only works if your friend has a neohome. It is sort of silly to give someone an item they can’t put to good use, don’t you think? So, if your friend does have a neohome, here is a short list of items that are good Valentine's Day gifts: Valentines Rug, Valentines Pillow, Valentines Bean Bag, Heart Shaped Stained Glass Window, Heart Shaped Orange Chair and some of the flowers mentioned earlier can be put into neohomes.

Eight: Neggs. Neggs are great because they can be food, displayed in galleries, and some even do things to your pet. There are only four Valentine's Day related neggs, but I think they’re all fantastic gifts –this is a little hint to any of my good friends out there who are trying to decide what to get me– –Ahem– Moving on... The Neggs are Valentines Negg, Cupid Negg, Sweet Heart Negg, and Heart Shaped Negg. They all look great and will be very well liked gifts.

Nine: Books. This might not seem like a great idea at first, but there are a lot of books out there related to Valentine's Day. Some of my favorite options are Sweetheart Scroll, Lennies in Love, Nuts, A Love Story, The Love Buzz, Blumaroo Love Stories, Meerca Friends Scroll of Benevolence, and Love, Laughs, Xweetoks. But these are just a few of the many books out there so you might be able to find something Valentine's Day related that is specific to other pets as well.

Ten: Finally, if nothing on this list seems like something your friend would like, then throw the list out! Get them something that is specific to them. So, maybe it is not Valentine's Day themed – it can still let them know you think they’re awesome. Although I prefer sending something to my friends that is closely related to Valentine's Day (hence the list of all things gifts that are Valentine's-Day-ish) there are some people who would prefer something else. No matter what you decide to do just make sure to let all your friends and family know you love them and they’re important to you this Valentine's Day!
