Baby Neopet Care: Tougher Then You Think

NURSERY ROOM - Baby Neopets. With that small phrase we are reminded of those heart-melting
pets that so many Neopians have come to adore. However, these bundle-of-joys have
special needs, and if they don’t receive proper care you may end up finding yourself
with a bundle-of-fury instead.
If you own a Baby Neopet, or happen to be a Baby Neopet fantic, you probably
know that there are some basics when it comes to Baby Neopets. You know that
a Baby Paint Brush can be purchased in the Hidden Tower for 600,000 Neopoints,
but they can also be purchased slightly cheaper from other user’s auctions and
trades. You may also be aware that if you’re not willing to dish-out the dough,
you may hope for the very rare Random Event where Boochi, a Baby Bruce, will
come and zap your active pet and turn it into the Baby version of it’s former
self. And, since you know so much about Baby pets, you know that there are a
few Baby Morphing potions, which will turn your pet into a Baby, including the
recently released Baby Uni, Acara, Aisha, Jetsam and Bruce morphing potions.
The random theme of the week that everyone was talking about was the recent
Baby theme. New items created with Baby Neopets in mind were released, and the
Baby Morphing Potions (as mentioned above) had everyone buzzing. However, I
noticed that injured Neopets were featured in both the new blog and ‘Cracked’
avatar. Which brings us to the first chapter of my guide on taking care of Baby
Neopets: Preventing Injuries and Accidents.
Your Baby Pet has a strand of loose, overgrown fur. It only takes a slight
breeze and it has been moved, it now covers your Baby’s eyes and is obscuring
its vision. However, your pet continues walking (or crawling) and runs right
into a wall! There’s only one solution to this problem… No, it’s not a bandage.
But in fact, it’s the Baby Aisha Hair Clip! This stylish clip will keep your
pet’s hair in place and your Baby’s head free of unattractive bruises.
Not all toys are safe for Baby Neopets to play with. That’s why there is a
special line of toys intended for young pets – a great example would be the
Baby Bruce Blocks. Adorable and educational all wrapped into one would describe
this toy. Also available is a range of Baby Neopet plushies, including Zafara,
Wocky, Aisha, Usul, Grarrl, Skeith, and Kougra plushies that your Neopet will
simply adore.
Most of us get hungry. Well, the same goes for Baby Neopets. In the next chapter,
we will be covering the right and wrong types of foods to feed a Baby Neopet.
Baby Food is a very popular selection for Baby Neopets, for an obvious reason.
Perfect for a Baby’s delicate stomach, and available in several great flavors:
Pea and Ham, Forest Fruit, Beef and Veg, Strawberries and Cream, and Lemon Meringue
Baby food are all available for an affordable price. Well, at least a lot more
affordable then that Baby Paint Brush.
A non-recommended item to feed your Baby Neopet is Baby Kougra Custard. Although
it has been confirmed that this is not made from Baby Kougras, it may still
frighten your Neopet.
When your Baby Neopet gets thirsty, milk is the recommended drink. It not
only is delicious and easy to digest, it also helps build strong bones! Apple
Juice is also a big hit with young Neopets.
Not recommended is the infamous Extra Large Fizzy Drink, which is hard on
your Neopets stomach and far too big of a serving. Plus all the sugar and caffeine
in that innocent looking drink will probably have your pet bouncing off the
wall for hours.
Pampering is part of the package when it comes to being a Baby Neopet. I’m
sure you wouldn’t be able to resist a plea from a pet that adorable. In chapter
three I’ll be helping you learn the ropes of Proper pet pampering.
To keep your pet’s coat at it’s finest, it is recommended that you groom it
daily. With the aid of items such as Shampoo and use of the Short Hair Brush,
your Neopet’s fur will be at its prime.
The stories most popular tend to be the ones in which the reader can relate
to the characters. That’s why I suggest reading your Baby Neopet to sleep with
one of the many Baby Neopet books available such as the Baby Ixi Book. Faerie
tales are also largely popular with the younger Neopet population. Granted that
they all have a happy ending.
Petpets are popular throughout the Neopian community, and chances are your
Baby Neopet will want one, too. As long as you have deemed your pet responsible
enough, I don’t see anything that should stop your pet from having a pet of
it’s own!
Gentle Petpets are recommended for youngsters. No matter what your budget
is you should be able to find a suitable Petpet. You may consider buying a Puppyblew,
Angelpuss, Mazzew, or Ona. With the aid of a Petpet Paint Brush you can make
the Petpet match your Neopet better. The Pink and Blue Petpet Paintbrushes should
be considerations. However, the flip side to Petpet Paintbrushes is mismatching
the two, the Robot, Dung, Mutant, Island, and Fire Petpets don’t exactly go
well with most Baby Neopets.
There are also selections that would be troubling to find in the care of a
Baby Pet. Finding a Reptillior or Drackonack with a Baby Uni would seem quite
odd. While your pet may have a taste in these kinds of Petpets, you must also
consider the safety of the pet here. (Hint: avoid fangs)
This article is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to caring for your
Baby Neopet, the basics. Now with the foundation of caring for your Neopet in
place, you can start building up with personal experiences and opinions. Please
note, this article was written with the average Baby Neopet stereotype in place,
that they are adorable and need your care, to appeal to a larger audience. The
individual needs and tastes of your Baby Neopet will vary. So now that you’ve
seen the flip side of Baby Neopets are you sure you still really want one? I’m
guessing you probably still do. I’m telling you – no one should be able to resist
a face that cute.
