Quote of the Week

She’s still got her left hand outstretched, her fingers now curled like claws, reaching desperately for a brilliant jade and gold amulet that’s set before her on a decorative dais, its every edge sparkling like haunted starlight through the darkness. With her other hand, she’s got a strong hold on one of the heavy curtains that half-block one of this room’s tall stained glass windows — the two’s only source of light in this moment — one foot precariously positioned on the edge of a bookshelf that is definitely not meant for climbing, and her other leg dangling midair as she tries her best to reach for the eye-catching piece of jewellery that sits temptingly proud on its pedestal.

Gross Foods That Aren't as Gross as You Think

Hello! You know there are a lot of food items in Neopia - some great and some...well not so great. In fact, they have their own category called "gross foods", but looking through the list, are they really as gross as their name implies? In this list we wanted to focus on gross food items that we actually wouldn't mind trying out. Pound Cake and Frosting Sandwich Now here's a perfect combination that sounds delicious. Pound cake? Yum. Frosting on a sandwich? Yes please. Combining them already makes my mouth water a little. This is one I really cannot understand why it would be called "gross". Mac and Cheese Ice Cream

On Foot: A Guide to the Hiking Trails of Neopia

Neopia is a diverse world, with a range of different environments to explore and experience. In this article, I will reveal two of my favourite hikes in Neopia! These walks are perfect for those looking to experience some less busy trails, and showcase some of the best sights that this world has to offer. Safety tip: always pack a map, compass, food, and plenty of water when preparing for any hike! Neopia Central to Kiko Lake This beautiful 15 mile hike begins at the Neopian marketplace on the outskirts of Neopia Central. It is recommended to start this hike early, particularly if you are hiking in the summer –

Collectors of Neopia: An Introduction

The Month of Collecting is finally coming to a close! As the leaves on Neopia’s trees turn from green to those gorgeous autumnal oranges and reds we’ve come to know and love, it might be important to remember what the month is about. Many Neopians love collecting, and yes, you probably do, too. Whether you’re collecting stamps or collectable cards for your album or Neodeck; rare treasures for your gallery; or even just collecting plushies for a few soft friends to squeeze as the weather gets cold, it’s very likely that you have a collection of your own.

"The Heist" by werelupecookies
"Mabel...” “What?!” Cain shushes her loudly. The two had lost track of time hours ago, but it must be nearing dawn by now — a dangerous time for thieves. A time when they should start heading back to the guild. A time when they should not be shouting... Not like that’s ever stopped the raging wildfire that is Mabel Ellis. The always-irritated yellow Aisha whips her head around to look Cain dead in the eyes, tossing her thick black hair over her shoulder with the motion, a snaggletoothed scowl glued tight to her tired face.

"Tsarki and the Art of Pest Management" by peirigill
Tsarki awakened with a jolt. Two enormous eyes and a giant, slobbering maw completely filled her field of vision. Giggling, she grabbed the monstrous form and lifted it into the shaft of morning light creeping through the thatched window. No longer an inch from her face, the “monster” appeared properly as a cute little Slorg. She bumped her dark snout affectionately against its mucousy forehead, then gently dropped it into a tray of wheatgrass on her nightstand. I was prepared for you, she thought with satisfaction. Slorgs were not uncommon here near the Berkshire Glen, on the outskirts of the Haunted Woods, where spooky trees gave way to shady meadows and spooky petpets of all sorts thrived. Tsarki knew she was in danger of becoming a “crazy Kadoatie lady” - or in her case, perhaps, a crazy Meowclops lady - but she just couldn’t help setting up feeders for the local critters. It made them so happy. Besides, it kept them out of the plants and mosses and mushrooms she used for potion-making, her literal cottage industry. Still, it was uncommon for a Slorg to get right in her face like that. Perhaps it was especially hungry, or just lost?

"The most precious treasure" by fy2027
Once upon a time there was a town next to a mountain, a big mountain, which remained in an eternal winter. This town was known as "The Mountain of Terror" because of the great mountain that was very close. Over the years, this majestic place was blessed with abundant food, despite the temperature. Each person who visited the town was marveled because of all the landscapes that town had. The most talkative people spent hours describing the amazing place, how were the inhabitants of that place, and how they felt magical energy when they were there. One day, a young Usul, amazed by everything he heard about that village, decided to undertake a journey which changed his life. One morning, nothing special, in which the young Usul decided to use an old backpack that was a gift from her beloved grandfather, take a few extra coins he found under his bed, and the journey to the people of all they spoke. He went to a store near his home and bought a nice map and a compass. Then he decided to stand in the sun to decide where he should start walking. He took his time, he was not in a hurry. When he knew where to go, he kept the map and undertook the journey.
