Quote of the Week

The plight of the Maraquan pet is one that's usually overlooked. Don't give in. I personally can't take a stand because there isn't enough room in the bathtub to stand up, but you can.

Aquatic Festival

Acaras are most commonly found along the shores of lakes and the salty ocean coastlines. With their large ears, they can detect mussels and crabs beneath the sand during low tides. Young Acaras hone their fishing skills in nearby tide pools until the day of the Bowla Moon! Once a year towards the end of June, the bowla gather in huge schools about a mile offshore. The strange petpets prepare for the migration to raise their fry in oceanic trenches. Being felines, how could Acaras resist such an interesting and easy prey opportunity?!

Fun in the Sun

The temperatures have spiked and the sun seems to shine every day here in Neopia! That can only mean one thing: Summer has arrived. This summer, many Neopians are looking for new and exciting clothing styles to fit their summer needs. It seems such a shop has arrived in the NC Mall, just making its grand opening this past week! That's right! All of your fun in the sun clothing for those Neopian summer months has arrived. Stocking clothes for beach adventures and underwater missions, the shop is packed with new trends...

Un-athletic Pets: Surviving the AC

"Hide me!" whispers my poor Scorchio. Let's face it – MrImpressible is cute, cuddly, adorable beyond words even! However... athletic he is not. With Neopia fully in the grip of Altador Cup Fever (henceforth known as "ACF"), nearly every pet is outdoors practicing their moves or indoors cheering on their team. For those un-athletic pets (and trust me, more exist than we think), this is a time of great danger.

"Downfall" by jillpuppy
She would not fail, like the other times. She was now more powerful than they could imagine. She would rule the world. (Because she couldn't, shouldn't, wouldn't go back.) But maybe (just maybe), after this was all over, she'd let herself look back. Maybe then, she'd let herself remember who she once was...

"A Muddy Escapade" by mckinleybooksfan
The wind ruffled her fur, and she could smell a mud puddle beckoning. Eyes closed, the baby Lupe followed her nose to the edge of the puddle. After she dipped a toe in, the Lupe paused. The mud puddle offered many possibilities, all of which seemed enormously appealing...
