Have you ever wondered how the Lost Desert came about?
Here is an article where I will tell you all you need to know about the
history of the Lost Desert.
The Lost Desert formed many, many moons ago, sometime
before the beginning of Neopia. The land was dry and very hot. The Lost
Desert's capital, otherwise known as Sakhmet, began as a small village
populated by NeoPets who had created their own lifestyles to fit their
surroundings. Eventually, as time went by, the people decided that they
required someone to take charge of them. An Eyrie known as Ahkbar-Horus
took the place as the first ruler of the Lost Desert.
Outside Sakhmet, nomads set up tents in groups to form
something like a permanent nomad camp. They set up shops selling magic
scrolls, PetPets, and all sorts of sandy stuff. Here is a timeline of
the rulers of the Lost Desert since the rule of Ahkbar-Horus.
(*Please note that this timeline's stating of the year
of Galat-Ra the Lupe's reigning years is NOT the answer to the riddle
in Lenny Conundrum*)
80 B.N. - Ahkbar-Horus the Eyrie
65 B.N. - Galat-Ra the Lupe
49 B.N. - Hephaes-Ru the Kacheek
40 B.N. - Nefertiki the Chia
24 B.N. - Ahat-Nuut the Bruce
10 B.N. - Palat-Hira the Lupe
2 B.N. - Khabbat-Horus the Eyrie
3 A.N. - King Coltzan III the Lupe
Sakhmet, the capital of the Lost Desert, suddenly became
very deserted. A large sandstorm blocked the route into the Lost Desert
and therefore, shut out the Lost Desert from the rest of the world. The
Lost Desert continued to grow on its own, until when Brucey B and his
friends discovered it by accident on an expedition for the lucky coin.
The Lost Desert is well-known for their large amounts
of magic scrolls and books. It is a place for cultural people who love
to learn about other cultures and also for wizards who wish to increase
their magical power. It is rumoured that the Shop Wizard is actually keeping
a whole box of scrolls in his house. It is said that he studies these
scrolls day by day, strengthening his ability to search for the cheapest
items in shops.
