Is the Ghost Lion good or evil? This is a question for
the ages. I have always said that he was, in fact, very evil, and vowed
to try and never cross his path. But the other day in Neopia, I was forced
to withdraw my prior thoughts, for I saw him with my own two eyes! I will
now tell you all about my experience with the dreaded Ghost Lion.
It all started when my pet Arc Bachman and I were finishing
a battle with a Grundo Trooper. (Arc tried his very best, but he just
couldn't beat the pesky thing!) It eventually ended in a draw and poor
Arc was hurt. In panic, I ran to the Healing Springs, but she turned us
away! All she said was: "I have no Magic left for now……Go away!"
So then I ran to the Haunted Woods for a mushroom, hoping
that could still heal my pet, but alas the apothecary was sold out. What
was I to do? Arc and I went back to the magic shop to try and get a healing
potion. We waited and waited. And waited. And waited some more. And then
there it was. A loud roar sounded. . Arc and I were startled, we must
have jumped ten feet into the air! Arc stood still wondering what to do.
He growled, ready to fight, but I told my brave pet he can't fight, he's
hurt! But Arc, that brave Kacheek gave me the most loyal look he had ever
gave me and stood still waiting for what was to come. A cold chill went
down my spine as the beast roared again even louder this time. Arc stood
still bandaged from his wounds, but his eyes told me he would never give
up. It was the strangest thing! A giant lion jumped out in a great flash
of light. I knew I saw it before... for it was the Ghost Lion! The one
in the Gallery of Evil!
The Ghost Lion approached us and said, "Why does everyone
get so scared when I approach? Is it my deafening roar?"
I told the beast to his face, "Please leave my pet alone."
The ghost lion replied, "What a brave Kacheek you have,
why hasn't it been healed yet?"
Shaking in my boots, I told the lion: "Well...well....
the Healing Springs, she wouldn't heal him and the mushroom guy was sold
out...and so was the magic shop."
The Ghost Lion roared even louder as a white light emitted
from his mouth. Arc jumped back up, fully healed with a look of amazement
on his face. The Ghost Lion had a look on his face which I couldn't believe!
It looked exactly like a smile! He then suddenly disappeared, leaving
another cold chill going down my spine. Did this really happen? Did the
dreaded Ghost Lion just help my pet? I was in utter shock!
So I write this to you to ask a question you might want
to consider before you condemn other such creatures as evil. Is this pet
truly as evil everyone claims it is, or is the great beast just misunderstood?
I hope I see him again, for he saved my Arc, and that was surely not evil
that I saw that day. So the next time you see the lion, instead of being
afraid, just talk to him, say hello, say something. For he is a lonely
ghost and I bet he would help you too. Just don't forget to tell him I
said thanks.
