As you all know Quiggle day is just around the corner
and that means a day to celebrate the curious Quiggle. If any of you have
checked the popularity list you may have noticed that Quiggle proudly
holds the 29th spot. I am a proud owner of one Quiggle, Squiggleyline
and through this article I plan on introducing this sweet creature to
you and hopefully educate you if you consider creating or adopting your
own personal Quiggle.
Where did the Quiggle come from?
To answer this question we must go back to the days when
Neopia was young. Back when the waters were treacherous and dangers lurked
behind every corner when only a handful of brave owners dared to inhabit
the world to care and nurture the sweet little NeoPets. On Aril 19, 2000
the Frogstomp arrived in the create a pet center by the design a pet contest
which was thought up by Iriss. The little frog like creature was a strong
resilient NeoPet that survived several months but then on July 25, 2000
the little Frogstomp evolved into it’s current form the Quiggle. The Quiggle
became a smarter, quicker and arguably a cuter version of the Frogstomp.
Where can you find Quiggles?
Quiggle’s like warm water where they can splash in. The
highest Quiggle populations are on Mystery Island, Maraqua, and Kiko
Lake. But if you don’t feel like traveling down to the far depths
of the ocean to get a Quiggle the adoption agency has many homeless Quiggles
that would love to be adopted in to caring homes. Also the hatchery stores
many Quiggle eggs that are on call if you want to create your own individual
Quiggle.
What are Quiggle’s like and how should you care for
them?
Although I’ve only owned my Quiggle Squigglyline for
a short while I do recommend them for all pet owners. Quiggle’s are active
pets that love adventures of all kinds, challenging games and tough battles
in the Battledome. Quiggles are definitely not the easiest pets to look
after because they do become demanding and in my experience my own Quiggle
is a bit of a picky eater preferring chocolates to common omelets. But
with encouragement and discipline you can get your Quiggle’s to eat what
have available rather than what they want.
You should always keep your Quiggle happy or else you
may be visited by some evil creatures including Swamp Ghoul which my good
friend Orchid whom I got Squiggleyline from recalls on her own experience.
Here is my conversation with her:
orchid_abyss: Thanks so much for adopting Squiggleyline
I just couldn’t take care of her anymore, especially after meeting the
Swamp Ghoul!
flare8714: You met the swamp ghoul? What happened?
orchid_abyss: I was going to go play games with Squiggles
because she was in a kind of bad mood and as we headed to Kacheek Seek
there it was saying you can’t escape the swamp ghoul!
flare8714: Did he take anything from you?
Orchid_abyss: No he didn’t take anything but it was enough
of a warning to teach me my lesson of making my NeoPets mad!
I am considering getting a Quiggle what should I do?
Wonderful! I love to hear it when people considering
getting Quiggles. Before you head strait over to create a pet on your
menu consider the following things. How many pets do you own? If you already
own two or three pets and know adding another one could be too many pets
then don’t add another pet and disown it shortly afterwards because you
don’t have the time to care for it, because that is unfair to the poor
Quiggle. Another consideration is how many Neopoints you have. If you
only have 50 NP and will gain 50 more when you create your Quiggle you’ll
only have 100 NP to care for it which will not be enough to care for it.
Which could eventually cause you to go into bankruptcy and once again
your poor Quiggle could get thrown into the pound.
After taking those two things into consideration and
you still are interested in getting a Quiggle head to the pound first.
You never know what might happen, you could find the perfect Quiggle there
that may be a bit more experienced than a new born Quiggle is, this is
a great way for you to expand you NeoPet family. If you can’t find a Quiggle
at the pound you
can go ahead and create one of your own. Good luck and enjoy the Quiggle
you create!
I hope this guide has helped you and that you will take
the Quiggle into higher consideration next time you go to the pound or
decide to create a pet. So mark your calendars because Quiggle day was
June 13, 2001. Hope you had a Happy Quiggle Day!
