The Devious One

by Rena2000

"I dare you Lily402! I bet you can't!" I screamed, "Like I said acaras, especially speckled ones, are braver!!!!"

"Ya right, Kacheeks, ESPECIALLY spotted ones, are the bravest!" my sister responded.

"Then go on, go to the Snow Faerie's house and knock on her door. I want to see you become dinner!" I really didn't want this, but I knew she wouldn't go.

"Fi...Fine I'll go to her house and knock on her d...door!" Lily stuttered.

Lily advanced up the large hill that my sisters and brother sled down each day. This is the only thing that separated my house from the Snow Queens. Lily was now about two yards from the Snow Faerie's house, and I had to say I was beginning to become frightened. My mother then started for us with a look of sternness. Oh no, I thought.

"Lily!! Lily!! Now what do you think you're doing?" she cried. Lily jumped back and slid down the hill right under my owner's legs.

"Lily how dare you? I told you never to go to that woman's house! Now go up to your room!" she shouted.

I stepped back, if Lily spilled the beans I was in for it.

"Bu...But mom, Lucky made..." she stuttered. I crossed my legs, ready to run if I had too.

"No buts young lady go to your room now!" Lily turned and slowy went up to her room. I couldn't help it, a sly smile crossed my face.

My mother turned on her heel, "And you! I get you everything! Look I just painted you for goodness sakes! AND this is what I get in return? Now you go to your room and don't try to sneak out! Really you could of had your sister hurt!"

Now I wanted to remark that I wouldn't ever sneak out and that she should have more trust in me, but it would be lying so I decided to follow my mother's request. I slammed the door and quietly and looked at the empty room, practically my whole house was empty besides the bedrooms and living room that is. I went up the stairs and wished my brother was home from his date. I wanted to practice battling. I could practice with my little sister Annie, but it was to easy. I guess I am gonna have to read that dumb book for school, I drowsily thought. I jumped onto my bed and began reading, I guess I kinda fell asleep because when I woke everything was different.

I was laying on a sheet of ice, my fur frozen and damp. For a moment I thought I was dreaming, but after a shaft of ice fell onto my head I knew I wasn't. Hmm... I wonder where I am? I must of been going through a state of shock becasue my location was easy to identify. That's right I was in the Snow Faerie's House.

"Oh so you finally decided to wake up. Took you long enough," said the Snow Faerie in between licking her lips. "I am so sick of you pets sneaking up on my house like that! Really! You act like I am going to cage you and eat you! I really am a very nice person... it's just... see if.... so I decided to kidnap.... that's how you came here! Maybe now those pesky pets will leave me be!" Now I hadn't really been listening, but I had heard enough to understand.

"Oh...uh...I love the plan, but like when can I go home?" I coolly asked.

"Uhh... Never," replied a smug Snow Faerie. The Faerie turned away slowly dragging her gown against the icy pavement. She's waiting for a frantic reaction. Maybe if I do the total opposite of what she wants then I can go home..., I wondered. It was risky, but I couldn't let the Snow Queen see I was desperate.

I took a breath of the frozen air and said, "Oh cool. Well I suppose you are going to teach me some magic?" The Faerie turned on her head and studied my face.

"You aren't, you aren't serious are you?" she said not taking her eyes off me.

"Oh no, I am telling you quite the truth! I really want to learn some of your magic! It seems...uh...fun, yes that's it fun!" The Faerie muttered something under her breath that sounded strangely like, "This is not going well."

"Okay then little acara, what would you like to learn?" she asked with curiosity. I flipped myself back and leaned on a chunk of ice. Then I started examining my nails, I truly looked bored.

"Ah...any ol' thing. I mean rumour has it you can't do much other than make stupid potions that can freeze things up..." The Snow Faerie's eyes turned frosty and she glared evilly.

"HOW DARE ANYONE SAY THAT!! WELL I OUGHTA... make a potion to freeze them in? Oh it is true, I strut around like I know everything, but all I can do is freeze things!"

Right then the Snow Queen began to cry and I was satisfied. Time for part 2 of my plan...

"Well... I could... if you let me bring you a Faerie from my house and give it to you. I am sure that Faerie could give you some special powers..."

"Oh would you! Oh thank you! I will give you one hour to get the captured Faerie and return it to me. Then out of gratitude I will let you go," said the gullible Snow Queen.

I was very satisfied with myself as I ran home. I pranced through the snow and through the house retrieving the Faerie from my shelf, then started back up the hill. I ran into the Queen's home and put the Faerie in her hand, and once again ran home. Now you may think that I gave a Faerie away for no reason at all and that I am not the devious master mind that I say I am. But believe me I am. There are a few facts I should tell you. The Faerie I gave to the respected Queen was a Fire Faerie.

Now the Fire Faerie can only bless with a fire power which is completely useless to the "queen". If she wants to be dumb enough to use her new fire ability then she will melt.
