So you've all heard about NeoHomes, the Job Agency, the
Tyrannian Concert Hall, the Giant Omelette... they're practically all
over the news, but how does everyone feel about them? This article will
express peoples emotions (in a mature fashion) about the above features,
and how they affect our daily lives.
Tyrannia
"NeoPets took a great start with this new project, I like where they're
going with it!" Tyrannia, a world filled with ancient creatures, a concert
hall, and a whole load of omelettes, came as a surprising addition to
Neopia back in late March. The good side? Tyrannia brought us a new pet
(the Chomby), a whole new line of ancient food, PetPets, a concert hall,
and furniture (the necessity which most people are lacking). The bad part?
Well, their furniture isn't exactly what everyone would like to bring
into their home (unless you're reaching for the stone-age look), and the
concert tickets can be tricky to get hold of (but, luckily, their not
too pricey), and most people are having trouble figuring out the names
of those new PetPets!
Another open-ended complaint would be the new Lair of
the Beast, "I thought the Lair of the Beast was going to be a lot better,"
said a random Neopian. This reporter cannot back that comment up, for
she has yet to play that game, but hopefully there are some opposing views
on that story. On a more positive note, Tyrannia has brought us the (drum
roll ^_^) Giant Omelette!! The positively best way to feed your pets!
With only one omlette, you can feed one pet 3 times, and the Omelette
will only cost you about 15-30 NPs (at least, the common ones like the
Carrot and Pea Omelette will).
The NeoHomes
"I've been waiting for the NeoHome since October when I first heard a
rumor floating around, so I sure am excited!" This new project is super
kewl, but it can put a dent in your bank account unless you watch yourself!
Not all the features are available, so I shouldn't be too harsh, but from
what I've seen NeoPets is doing a great job! To date, there are 3 floors
which you can build rooms out of cardboard, jelly, cloud- you name it!
The downside of this huge craze? Furniture. "I've been trying all day
to get something out of the furniture shop, but I only came out with a
cream rug!!" one frustrated player yelled. If you're quick and lucky,
you'll get something good, but otherwise, you'll just have to dish out
the extra 'points to buy from other people's shops. But all in all, the
NeoHomes are excellent, and I cannot wait until more features arrive!
The Job Agency
"If you like quests, this is the place for you..." The brand new Faerie
Job Agency, stationed currently in Faerieland, is a place for your pets
to work. Every 5 minutes, the job listings refresh and you have to chose
which one you'd like your pet to take. After that, you're timed to go
out and find whatever amount of items you were asked to retrieve and return
them for a profit. Sometimes the items might be a bit costly, and you
won't make a profit. But other times, you might be asked to find a couple
bottles of shampoo, and they'll give you 500 NPs. You just have to watch
out for the easier paying jobs and you'll be fine. Contrary to popular
belief, you don't need a job coupon for every job you do. There are jobs
just for people who don't have coupons. Of course, if you do have a coupon,
you're open to better jobs with higher pay, but keep in mind that your
coupon loses a "level" every time you use it.
