The Rescue of the Necklace
"I guess we should get going, shouldn't we?" said Silver, shivering slightly. They set off towards the castle. When they got to the huge doors a Dark Faerie was there.

"What business do you want here?" asked the Dark Faerie

"We need to talk to the Dark Queen please. It's for a job application," said Sam.

The Faerie looked suspicious but led them in all the same. She walked them down a few corridors to another huge door but this one had carvings of dark creatures. Silver gave a little shiver again. The Faerie led them through the door into a room which was undoubtedly the Uber Dark Faerie’s domain.

"Wait here and I'll go get the Dark Queen," said the Dark Faerie as she left.

"Wow, it worked!" whispered Silver.

"Yeah, let's look around," said Golden.

They looked everywhere but still no trace of the necklace. Then Golden looked at a portrait of the Uber Dark Faerie

"Hmmm.....," she said as she walked over to it. She pulled it off but didn't find bare wall. She found a safebox. "I think I found it!" she said to the others.

"Let's try opening it with this," offered Silver as he pointed to the blue collar.

"Stand back." He pressed the button and the door to the safebox opened soundlessly. "Cool dude!" he said.

Golden rushed forward to pick up a glowing box. When she opened it, sure enough, there was Queen Aqua's necklace. Suddenly, they heard footsteps coming their way.

"Job application, huh?" they heard a cruel voice say.

"She's coming!" whispered Sam as she thought hard for a few seconds.

"I know! I'll fly us out that window-" she pointed to a big window on the left wall."-Then Golden, sprinkle that powder on us and then we leave."

So the Lupes ran into Sam's arms and they took off just when the Faeries came in.

"You!! Get back here! You...you...you...thieves!!" shrieked the Uber Faerie

"You should talk!" called Sam over her shoulder.

"Hurry, Golden!"

Golden took out the blue powder and sprinkled it on them. Almost instantly, they appeared back in Faerieland and stand in front of them was Queen Aqua. She smiled and said, "Thank you so much! You deserve a reward!"

They handed her the necklace. "Sam you can keep those wings, Golden, I grant you Water Action (being able to be fish like), and Silver, I grant you Super Heal."

They all were positively delighted! "And," said Queen Aqua, "you can stay in the castle as my guests for as long as you like."

"Yes!!" cried Golden."Wait till everybody else hears!"

They walk to the castle with Queen Aqua, grinning all the while.

They stayed in the castle for three days before setting off to Terror Mountain. They got on the plane that would take them to Happy Valley, which was the town at the base of the mountain. "You guys should go get into your snow clothes after you're done eating," said Sam while they ate at a little restaurant.

"We're done so we'll go do it now," said Silver.

"Okay," said Sam as she finished her sandwich and getting up to go to the bathroom. "Now I am too."

"Boy am I glad you got these snow clothes!" said Golden. "I'd be an icicle before I even took 5 steps!"

They walked over to the chair lift that took you to the top of the mountain.

"Cool!" said Silver as they reached the top of the mountain. It really did look cool. It looked like a vast, snowy plain (the top was flat), almost like a Winter Wonder Land but less cheery. There was a forest about a 1/4 of a mile away.

"Shall we go there?" asked Silver, pointing to the forest.

"Yeah, let's," said Golden who wanted to warm up her feet.

They walked into the forest and explored it. They walked for about a half an hour before they heard a strange sound behind them. Then again. And again. And again until, a huge.....ugly.....abominable snowman emerged.

"Run for your lives!!!" shrieked Golden as she ran.

"Again!?!" added Silver as he and Sam started to run too.

Even though they ran with all their might, the snowman was quicker. He stepped in front of them and said, "Please, don't be afraid! I won't hurt you!"

Sam stopped to think about those words. "I thought your kind was mean and vicious," she said.

The snowman said, "Some are but not me. By the way, my name is Hot."

"Hot? Why Hot? It's cold here," interrupted Silver.

Hot shrugged. "I guess my parents just liked that name."

"Oh...well I'm Sam," said Sam, "and this is Golden and Silver." She pointed to them.

"Nice to meet ya," said Hot. "How 'bout a cup o' tea?"

"You drink......tea?" asked Golden.

"Well, yeah," said Hot.

"So, yes?"

"Yeah, sure," said Sam as they walked to Hot's house, which turned out to be a huge igloo, and had tea.

"Not many like me because of what the others of my kind did," said Hot as they sipped his Icy Tea.

"I wonder why?" said Silver sarcastically.

Golden nudged him hard in the ribs to make him stop.

"Well, you have us as friends now," Sam said.

"Yeah......right....." said Silver who seemed to not like Hot very much, probably because he scared them out of their wits at first.

They chatted a bit more and then Silver, Sam,and Golden had to leave. "Bye!!" they called over their shoulders.

"Good-bye dear friends!" Hot called back.

The got on the chair lift and were back down on the ground, then on their way to Sam's cabin.

"Those were great adventures we had, huh?" said Sam as they walked back to her cabin."I mean, who else gets to help the Uber Water Faerie?" she said looking at her wings happily, "see a monster, and make friends with an abominable snowman?"

"Not many, I think," said Golden.

"I wonder who did get to do that kind of stuff," said Silver thoughtfully.

When they reached Sam's cabin, she asked Silver and Golden, "So.......I suppose you want to be free and wild Lupes now, huh?"

"What?!?!" they asked, looking bewildered.

"Well...don't you?" she asked.

"And leave you?" said Golden.

"Our best friend and master?" said Silver.

"Huh? I thought...." began Sam but they interrupted her.

"As if!" they said, pretending to by offended.

"Why are you guys joking me?" said Sam reproachfully.

"We're not," answered Silver.

"To put it bluntly, we ain't goin' nowhere without you," added Golden.

Then tiny tears swelled into Sam's eyes. "You... you mean it?" she asked hopefully.

"Of course we do," they both replied.

"Oh....you guys!" said Sam as she rushed over to hug them both. She dried her happy tears and said, "Well, we might as well get started on your sleeping place."

They all went in Sam's cabin, which was now Silver's and Golden's new home.
