The Double-Agent: Part Two

Welcome back to The Double-Agent, I’m your host, StarStripe. Ten players are completing tests to win up to one billion Neopoints. Although, one person is trying to stop them, this person is the Double-Agent.

Last week Maria the Blumaroo, Stock Reporter, paid the price and after almost making everyone lose it for one test and losing the other.

Capara the Kyrii says “I was almost certain that she was the double-agent, and I didn’t think she would be gone so soon.”

Kevin Korbat comments, “Now I don’t really know who the double-agent is.”

Flame the Tame explains, “The game just got a bit harder for everyone.”

“Congratulations to all of you, you did a wonderful job getting past the first execution. I hope you all have a clearer idea of who the Double-Agent is now,” I say. “As for the third test going for 40 million, the rules are simple. Somewhere in Mystery Island there are four scratch cards. All four scratch cards are not scratched and you have to move them to our next area, Ice Caves. At the Scratch Card Kiosk each of you can scratch off three spaces. Now, since you can only scratch off 24 in total, that means that only eight of you have to be there. But, the one person who isn’t, has to sleep outside in the Ice Caves while the others get to sleep in the five-star Neopian Resort. Also, during the scratching, you can win 10 million, 5 million, 1 million, a toy, or nothing. To get the most amount of money you have to scratch off four 10 millions, and you can only scratch if all four cards are at the kiosk. Good Luck, and you will be starting at the locations that you first started at, except switched, so Capara won’t start at the arena this time. Okay, you will have until tomorrow’s sundown, GO!”

They all run up into the helicopters which take them to each location.

“Now, since I’m at the docks and there were two people at the docks last time, I might not be alone!”

“Well, I found you rather easily, didn’t I?” Garon says from behind him.

“I guess you did, but didn’t you start at the docks already?” the Kougra replies.

“I started in the Marketplace over there. Hey, let’s find the other person here,” Garon tells him with a slight hint of arrogance in his voice.

Capara at ToreTora Island

“Hey, boat! I’ll give you 3k Neopoints if you bring me to the mainland…hey, BOAT! Okay, FIVE-KAY! Five-thousand!”

“Oh, why didn’t you say so, I have no idea what ‘kay’ is,” replies the boater. After paying the money Capara gets to the fruit stand.

Mulvinn at the Trading Post

“Let me see, if I head north I can get to where Maria was and where the Kyrii and Flameboy was. Maybe even we can go deep into the forest and rescue whoever is in my past predicament, stupid natives…”

"No one described where they were so I could be anywhere! Maybe I have a potion for this…”

“Is that all you rely on?” says Carassa as she steps through the bushes between the Training Center and the Battledome with Cool Grundo following her.

“And everyone told me where they started, that’s why we’re here,” counters the Grundo.

“SCRATCHCARD! Helpmmmphmph…!”

“Did someone say scratchcard?” asks Carassa.

“It’s where Mulvinn started, he was captured by a tribe of natives,” Cool Grundo informed them.

“IT’S ME, KEVIN HELllllempphemph..!”

“Let’s go!” Cool Grundo takes action immediately running towards the struggling Korbat.

As they jump into the clearing they meet a band of natives dancing around the frightened Korbat. “Grab the Scratch Card and forget about me, I’ll sll-eep on the floor of the Ice Caves! Just run!” Cool Grundo doesn’t listen to a word he says and unties the rope around him.

“C’mon! Carassa has already got the Scratch Card!” All the natives turn around to an empty Scratch Card Holder.

“GeraNimmo!” SW suddenly falls on top of Capara. “Phew, that was some parachuting!”

“Next time don’t parachute on my HEAD!” Capara burst at Shop Wizard.

“Yikes, sorry, but I did find a scratch card on the plane.”

“Really? That gives us two! Half! Already! And I’m sure the others have met up, too. And they might already have found the other Scratch Card!” Flame says excitedly.

“We’ll see, but I think I know where a Scratch Card is and I just want to check the place,” says Capara.

Kauvara, Kevin, Carassa, Cool, and Mulvinn at the Soup Kitchen

“Mmmm! Something smells good!”

“It’s that soup over there, but take one sip and you will call down the wrath of ancient Pango-Pango and the wrath of all who worship him, not to mention all the tourists,” Mulvinn explains. “Hey! That person is giving the offering of a Scratch Card to Pango-Pango!”

“Well, you finally got here, I’m surprised, but this doesn’t mean you’ll get the Scratch Card, no. No indeed, you have to fight me first. Yes, yes you do,” says the man.

“Give it up,” says Mulvinn as he pulls out his Black Frost Cannon.

“Hand it over!” Flame leaps out of the bushes in a huge fireball scaring the wits out of the guy. “ROAR!”

“Well, he ran fast,” says Capara. “And he dropped the Scratch Card, too. That makes three!”

“And we have one,” Carassa replies. “SO we can go to the Kiosk!”

“But how?” asks Cool Grundo.

“Easy Shmeasy! My brother can provide us with telepads that go right to the Kiosk!” SW says.

Three Hours later at the Scratch Card Kiosk

I show myself and urge them on, “Now that you all have got here, it’s time to start scratching. You each can scratch three. That means you can scratch more then six for each Scratch Card. Congrats.”

The first Scratch Card was handed to Capara, Flame, and Kauvara. The second went to Carassa and Kevin. The third came to Cool and Mulvinn. The last came to Garon and SW. Kauvara Scratched one off on Kevin’s, Capara’s, and Mulvinn’s.

“We got ten million here!” Shouts Garon.

“5 million over here,” says Cool.

“We got a toy,” says Carassa, “I need to give it to Mika.”

“We got ten million!” shouts Flame.

“Congrats, you got a total of 25 million, adding that to the pot you now have 95 million! Now, you all get to stay at a hotel in Happy Valley until tomorrow when an even harder test awaits. Good night.”

The Next Day at the Kiosk

I announce the next test to everyone. “This is your final test until the second execution. It is worth 60 million Neopoints Behind me is the Cave of the Snowager. Inside is a mountain of treasure, you are not to get anything from this mountain, except for a Fake Golden Negg. Once you get the Negg, you just bring it to the Neggery down there. OK, but, the Snowager, a vicious monster lives in the cave, you must get past him, to get the Negg. There are the nine of you, so get started!” I say.

“OK, let’s just go in. The Snowager might be sleeping, so when we go in, we must be quiet. Let’s see what we have. I’ve got a Black Frost Cannon,” Mulvinn takes charge.

“Two fast feet,” says Capara.

“Pinceron, my butler robot,” says Carassa.

“My ability to flame up,” said the Tame One.

“Eyrie Rainbow Flash,” says Kevin.

“Frost and a Large Metal Shield,” says Garon.

“Wooden Blocking Shield,” says Cool Grundo.

“Many Potions,” say Kauvara.

“And I have Platinum Tech Bow and Bag of Infinite Healing Neggs,” says SW.

“Okay, I’ll we’ll all take our own weapons, but Kauvara, can you give Pinceron some acid…”

After Planning for an hour, everyone is ready to make their move.

“Now!” Garon and Cool Grundo slams their shield into the back of the sleeping Snowager, who was blocking the treasure. The monster rears up enough so Pinceron can ram an acid potion into his eyes. Kevin does a Rainbow flash into his eyes, knocking out his vision completely.

Flame then Flames up and rolls around on the Snowager’s belly. He gets smacked deeper into the cave by the tail and suddenly the whole thing is thrown into utter confusion. Mulvinn starts shooting frost everywhere and everyone starts just to battle the Snowager. Carassa picks up SW and he covers them as they both flee deeper into the cave.

“Flame!” SW shouts to the mangled Kougra. “Here, have a health Negg!”

“Speaking of Neggs, here is the Fake Golden one!” Carassa yells to them.

“Great, grab it!” the newly revitalized Flame the Tame. “Wait here!” Flame runs up to the Snowager and shouts, “Hey, Frostface! Over here!” Silence.

“Come meet Flame the UNTame!” Flame suddenly burst into a huge fireball and slammed into the monster as hard as he could. The Snowager hit the wall as the eight others secretly escaped. “Flame, you stupid Kougra!”

Flame snaps back into reality and runs away as fast as he can.

That night after the test

“You know the rules,” I say. “Lowest score gets a red dot and elimination. Let’s begin.”
