Undeliverable: An Interview With a Pound Pet

Emma: And now we go over to Rachel with an interview with a pound pet. Rachel, can you hear me?

Rachel: Yes, hello and welcome to the Pound. This is where your pets go when you abandon them. Here with me I have a lonely little Chomby called Chunchu.

Chunchu: Hi everyone!

Rachel: Now Chunchu how long have you been in the pound?

Chunchu: Well, since I was 2 days old. My owner couldn't look after me as there were 4 of us so one day she took me to the pound and... *sob* ...left me there. I got a small room with a rock hard bed in and a gas lamp.

Rachel: Did they treat you nicely there or not?

Chunchu: They only gave me one meal a day. Even though I love meat, they fed me soup from the Soup Kitchen. It was OK but I would have liked meat better. They never let us out of the building to play or anything. I met a cool Kacheek called Justin. He was mutant and I looked up to him. He was my only friend.

Rachel: Did any pets bully you at all?

Chunchu: Yes. There was a huge Skeith who was nicknamed 'Bonker'. He was huge and beat me up if I didn't give him some of my food. I was really scared and one day I hid under the bed gut Bonker found me. He hit me in the belly and winded me and he took ALL of my food. I was starving by the next day when more food came.

Emma: Sorry to interrupt but I was just wondering, what kind of things did you do in the pound?

Rachel: It's OK, good question. Well Chunchu?

Chunchu: Well, on Mondays we went into a gym and worked out :( On Tuesdays we did some reading :| On Wednesdays we didn't really do anything :( On Thursdays a group of about 3 (usually me, Justin and Smilly) went to the 'garden' (which was more of a DUMP) and played 'out' (it was really inside!):| On Fridays we did cooking!! (the only good thing):) On the weekends we just messed about. It was really boring in there and now I am out, I feel FREE!

Emma: Sorry but we have to end it there now. Do you have any final words?

Chunchu: Erm... To all owners out there, keep your pets or adopt one! To all pets, good luck if you are going in the pound or if you are in the pound then, hello and I hope you get out soon!
