I have noticed more and more people begging or just being lazy on the
chat boards recently. So instead of posting the same answers over and
over again I have decided to write you a guide on how to succeed without
resorting to this annoying activity. Here are some of the more common
messages I see along with my (helpful) answer to each. Once you have all read
this there will be no excuse for any more begging and you should pick
up some useful tips about being good at NeoPets along the way.
"I'm poor, donations please..."
There are free games that make you NP, e.g. Kiko Match, Lenny Trivia and
Meerca Chase.
Those are my favourites. Or you can spend a tiny bit and get heaps. Poogle
Solitaire gives you 750 NP for doing it properly, that's heaps. Cheat
can also be a good earner. Try stuff, you never know what game will give
you NP just for playing and you don't always have to be very good.
"My pets are dying, give me some food."
Rubbish I say! There are so many ways to get food round this site. Go
to the soup kitchen. If you are too rich to get food there then you must
have enough money to buy food for yourself. Use the shop wizard and buy
apples or shakes, they only cost 25-35 NP each. You could try going to
the healing springs, sometimes your pets get fed there. NeoPets don't
die and they don't need to stay hungry so get feeding.
"I need Neopox
Pizza, give it to me as I can't afford it..."
No you don't! Go to the Healing Springs. It is free and you can go back
every half an hour. It might take a few goes to fix the Neopox problem
but a good thing happens to you every time you go. In the meantime your
pet won't die or spread the disease. And the springs work for any disease.
"I lost my account, give me something..."
OK, so we are all sorry you lost your stuff. However you managed to build
it up in the first place so go and do it again. Remember how much fun
it was the first time? It's quicker and much more fun than sitting around
the chat boards whining and feeling sorry for yourself.
"I want to buy the entire crossword answers, the mystery picture,
whatever..."
How about trying it out for yourself. A little bit of effort goes a long
way. I am happy to help those of you who have done almost all of it and
just need one question or hint. However when you ask for the entire crossword,
especially if there isn't one today and you didn't even look, well that's
just lazy.
"I need help, I'll pay you..."
We help for free, not for profit. I feel insulted when someone tried to
bribe me (although a thank you is always nice). Also anyone who charges
you to help them is ripping you off. (OK this is not related to beggars
but I might as well get it all off my chest at once.)
This whole site is designed so that it is easy to look after your pets
without being a Neomillionaire and at the same time get a nice little
nest egg in the bank. If you are still stuck, I get all my best ideas
reading the articles in this very paper.
Most of all I would just like you all to please remember: DON'T BEG,
it's not a very pretty sight.
