Poogle’s Family Problem

by musicgal16

I woke upon a sunny morning to the singing of my mom and the birds. I knew right away that my mom was making breakfast. I went to the kitchen and sat down. I realized I was the first one up (no surprise here).

“Hello, Marshmallow. Did you have a nice sleep?” asked my mom.

“Yes, mom. I slept like a baby,” I answered back.

“Well you are a baby, you’re my little baby,” said my mom, “would you mind waking up your brothers and sisters?”

“No problem!” I said.

I went into Donna’s room and woke her up. I went into Kyroe’s room and woke him up. Then I went into my room that I shared with my all time favorite brother Wonder, and I woke him up. We went into the kitchen while my brothers and sisters groaned.

“Hey sleepyheads! We’re having eggs today,” said my mom, shouting from the kitchen.

I ate all of my breakfast and then I went into my room to play with Lemonhead, my stuffed yellow Poogle toy. Minutes later my mom came in to say good-bye because she was leaving for work. She kissed me on my cheek and said, “ Be a good girl for your brother, Kyroe, okay?”

“Okay,” I said.

I watched her leave through my window and then I went to play with my Wonder, my brother, for the rest of the afternoon. Later on that day my mom came home. We rushed in the living room to see if she had a surprise for us, but all she had was a worried look on her face. I asked her what was wrong and she sat us all down and said she wanted to tell us something.

“I went to the bank today,” she said.

“So, what is it?” asked Donna.

“I went to put in the money I made today, and found out we only have a couple of hundred NPs left.”

“Oh, no! We’re going to live in the streets!” said Wonder between tears.

“No we’re not. I have some plans,” said my mom, “I still have the shop which only has two items left in it, but I can always go to the guild and post a message that we need some food. In fact I’ll go right now. Stay here and listen to Kyroe.”

“Mom, may I go too?” I asked.

“Sure, no problem,” she replied.

We posted the message and came home. My mom made us dinner and put us to bed. The next morning my mom fixed us some cereal and said that she was going to the Money Tree. But when she came back she was empty handed.

“There are too many people there now that you can’t even get one NP,” she said.

“That’s okay, mom. Someone has to answer our plea for help,”said Kyroe.

He was right. The next morning my mom woke us up in a happy mood. She said that someone named Sk8tergirl611 sent us a letter and said that she was able to help. We shouted with glee, while Wonder was yelling we’re not going to starve. Later on that day some food came in by mail. We were very happy because we only had one last bowl of cereal left. The next day my mom came from work with some money she made from her shop, and with a brand new bike, a codestone, and a spooky treasure map.

“I went to our safety deposit box and got these things. The bike was supposed to be for Kyroe’s birthday, but we have to give Sk8tergirl611 a gift for helping us. The codestone was supposed to be for Marshmallow to gain a level, but I think we can wait. I was trying to collect the spooky maps but it’s okay I guess to start another collection,” she told us.

“Mom, do I have to give her Lemonhead too?” I asked.

“No, silly! You get to keep Lemonhead,” she answered back, “I guess our problems might be over for a little while.”

I went to sleep that night feeling better than ever.

The End

A note from the author: I wrote this story to show how people can be nice, and for Sk8tergirl611 you were as nice as nice can ever be for helping me out when nobody else did.
