Life and Time of Three Abandoned Pets

It was a grey and rainy day. Sunny woke up and wandered to the kitchen, only to find the cupboards bare. She saw her brother and her two sisters, all starving, sleeping peacefully on the floor in the corner. She felt bad for them, she was their only guardian, being the oldest and all.

Their owner came down, looking sad and tired. She picked them all up and brought them down the street to the Marketplace. She looked around and finally came to the conclusion that she couldn't afford anything. She had a mere 350 NP, and was too late to get anything from the stores. She had to make the biggest decision she had ever had to make.

She walked towards the Adoption Center and went to Dr. Death's desk. Sunny wondered what she was doing. When she finally figured it out, Dr Death was taking the poor yellow Chia away from her siblings and towards a cage of sad looking NeoPets. She had been abandoned.

Matt was a very happy blue Tuskaninny. He had just been created, and he thought his owner looked really nice. He thought they were heading back home, and he was cooing and smiling and looking as cute as he'd ever been. They found themselves right in front of the Adoption Center.

"This is an odd-looking home," he thought

He saw a scary Techo with white hair and a doctor's coat on.

"Oh, this must be the Hospital, and I'm getting a checkup for any of those nasty diseases!"

The Techo brought him to a cage and set him in there next to a starved Chia. She informed him that he had been abandoned, and she vowed to take care of him. He was only a little baby.

Rori had also just been created, she was a blue Acara, and her owner was very nice to her. She gave her a carrot and 80 NP, then sent her down to the Marketplace with a note. She didn't know what it said, but she later found out that this was the message that was scribbled on:

"Hello. My name is Rori. My owner created me because she thought our species was very cute, but after that she saw another species that was even cuter, so as soon as you see her please bring her to the Pound. Thank you"

So she was brought to the Pound by a kind old lady that didn't want her to be out all alone, and placed in a cage with the pets that would become her best friends, Sunny and little Matt.

Then, one day, a young girl followed by a shimmering white Chia and a small blue Puppyblew walked in and started talking to the Adoption Uni. She had started a new account and taken all the money from her old one, so she was able to support four, but had only created one. And she was looking to take in three lonely pets.

She walked into the room that contained all the cages. She sadly wandered around, looking at all the sad Grundos, Lupes, Nimmos, and all the other kinds of pets in there. She finally got to the very last cage, where our three poor pets were. The Chia ran up to the cage and shouted to the girl: "Look Mom! Look! There's a Chia there, just like me! Can we get it, can we get it? Pretty pretty please with a cherry on top? She looks so sad."

The girl walked towards the cage and bent down to pick up the excited Chia and look at the NeoPets. She was touched by how starved and lonely they looked, all three of them. She called to the Uni:

"What are their names?" she asked

"Well, there's SunLancer the Chia there, Matopala the Tuskaninny and RoriLen the Acara."

"Sunny, Matt and Rori. Well, Impy, looks like you're going to get a twin sister, plus another sister and bro on top of that!"

"Hooray!!!!!" Impy the Chia, cried.

So she paid the Uni, thanked her, took all her new little babies (one of them less little) and went home to her really big house in the woods of Neopia Central.

There, she showed them all to their rooms and left them with Impy for a while. She grabbed a big bag of NP and set out for the village.

When she got back, she was holding 3 boxes. Each contained a PetPet and a Paintbrush. They all got to name their pets. There was Toe Jelly the Tigermouse, Sierra the Warf, and Matt Jr. the Triffin. The next day, they were to drive down to the Rainbow Pool and get painted.

That night, she gave them a wonderful dinner of old Negg recipes that her great-grandmother had used, and other delicious food. The table was full, and so were the pets. Then they watched a movie and all fell asleep on the couch.

EPILOGUE
Impy the girl now lives happily in her home with the twins, Impy and Sunny, one a White Chia and the other a Split one, her little guy, Matt, the Stars Tuskaninny, and her little baby girl, Rori the Stone Acara. They are part of the PEPAA guild and are very happy.
