Only for Three Days: Part Four

NPB unwrapped the Burger and took a huge bite. All the other pets watched, drooling. "You are so lucky!" said CK2000.

"Dad didn't give me a burger, he just gave me...Oh! A Chocolate Bar..." he said, pulling it out of his bag, a little surprised.

"I have a bit of dry NeoCrunch Cereal! The new Sweetened kind!" said J123.

All the pets finished lunch and cleaned up. "Hey Magic_Love_, you seem really quiet!" said NPB.

"I've got a little bit of a sore throat," she croaked.

"Oooh, you do sound pretty bad!" said Rosina_.

"I came prepared!" said NPB, handing Magic_Love_ a pack of Lemon 'n Lime Cough Drops.

"Keep them in your bag, 'cause you'll probably need them again."

"Thank you," she said, taking a cough drop and popping it in her mouth.

"Oh wow! Oh yay! Oh wow!" said Robeta100, jumping up and down.

"What, what?" said Kadina.

"I just remembered!" said Robeta100. "Mom said that she would take Rosina_ and I to Mystery Isle day after tomorrow!"

"Wow! I forgot too!" said Rosina_.

"I've been to Mystery Island," said J123, smiling. "I got to eat lots of Tropical Fruits! My favourite was the Kraku Berry!"

"I've been there too!" said NPB.

"It was so cool! I like Spironuts and Tigersquash! I didn't know that there would've been so many Kougras there!"

"Have you guys been to the Space Station?" said CK2000.

"Yup!"

"Yep!" NPB and J123 answered. Everyone else said yes too.

"Is there anyone who hasn't been to the Space Station?" said CK2000. No one said anything. "Guess not!" said CK2000 shrugging.

Everyone played for the rest of the day and slept peacefully that night. The next day, they all woke up with the sun shining brightly against the walls of the cave from the opening.

"Magic_Love_," said Robeta100.

"How is your throat?" Magic_Love_ opened her mouth and coughed really loudly! Her eyes widened.

"I have Kikoughela!" she said really quietly. Everyone gasped.

"A-a-are you sure?" said Rosina_. "This wouldn't have happened if you ate healthier and got more exercise!"

"Sreep, shuddup! You know this has nothing to do with that! You catch Kikoughela for no reason at all! In fact, you catch Kikoughela from contact with someone else who has it, for example-" NPB was talking too much again.

"Be quiet!" said Billacuss4.

"All she needs is a little bit of Kikoughela Syrup and she'll be fine," said J123. "Sometimes it takes weeks for the Kikoughela virus to manifest itself, It also-"

"NPB, be quiet!!!" all the pets shouted, with the exception of Magic_Love_.

"Sshhhh, I want to know more!" she croaked.

NPB smiled a triumphant smile. "Well, Magic_Love_," he said. "Sometimes, in really bad cases, takes over a week to subside! The worst case was when little Timmy McGuire, the small yellow Chia, that lives on the west side of Neopia, got infected from someone at his school. The original transmitter of the virus was not named. Timmy took the Kikoughela Syrup right away. He waited hours. The hours turned to days and the days turned to weeks! It wasn't until two and a half weeks later and two whole bottles of Kikoughela Syrup that he got better."

Magic_Love_ looked shocked! "Uummm....NPB, did she really have to know that?" said Kadina.

"Yeah, I'm sure that makes her feel a whole lot better," said J123 sarcastically.

"Er, sorry Magic_Love_," said NPB.

"Apology a-a-COUGH!! Apology accepted. COUGH!!" she said.

"Well, is everyone packed?" said CK2000.

It was time to leave. Everyone was pretty sad. They knew that their owners would never let them go off like this again until they were older, if they found out about Magic_Love_'s ailment.

"I've got it!" said Kadina. "Magic_Love_, we can ask your owner if you could spend the night at my house! We have some Kikoughela Syrup there! I'll just tell neo_petter that you have a slight cold and you don't have to tell your owner anything!"

"Okay!" said Magic_Love_.

So all the pets got to town. Robeta100 and Rosina_ both headed home to wine_gum4, CK2000 went to KevinandKyle, J123 went to Crazypet123 and Kadina, Billacuss4, NPB, Sreep and Magic_Love_ went to Neo_Petter's house. You were only allowed 4 pets maximum in a NeoHome, so everyone made arrangements until Billacuss4 was at his friends house, and Magic_Love_ could come into the house. Kadina phoned cotton_candy4 and made arrangements for Magic_Love_ to sleep over at her house. They immediately ran to the medicine cabinet.

"Jelly Pills...onion balm...oh! Here it is! Kikoughela Syrup!" said Kadina.

Kadina hid the syrup in her massive orange wings and both pets ran to Kadina's room. Kadina's room was really pretty. Her favourite colour was orange. Anyone could guess that just by stepping into her room for just a split second. She had a canopy bed, with orange sheets and puffy orange blankets and pillows.

The curtains were a heavy orange material. Her carpet was white, and very clean. On her wall she had some posters of NeoActors and NeoActresses. Her wall was painted orange too! She had dark, rich coloured wooden cabinets and a big Toy Box. She had an entertainment center complete with a TV, a VCR, a DVD player, a boom box, with a CD player and a tape deck and a huge selection of movies, CDs, DVDs and Tapes!

"WOW! You have the coolest room ev-ow! My throat hurts even more now!"

"Sshhh! You're supposed to have a tablespoon of this stuff," Kadina said, as she poured the thick red syrup into a small spoon.

"This flavour is Krakuberry!" she said, licking her lips. Magic_Love_ hastily grabbed the spoon and swallowed the disgusting liquid.

"Eeeuuuckkk! Blech! Ger-OSS!" Magic_Love_ said.

"Oh my gosh! Magic_Love_, your throat is clear and you sound fine!"

"It's true! What a miracle!" Magic_Love_ replied.

"Yes, sometimes it takes a minimum of 5 seconds to work. Although little Shirley Marra-"

"NPB, what are you doing here?" Kadina demanded.

"Just being curious, as usual," he said, grinning.

"Curiosity kills the Korbat!" said Kadina.

"Well, I'm not a Korbat!"

"Well, of course you aren't! Korbats are intelligent, caring, funny and really attractive, not dumb, cold-hearted and weird-looking!" she said, slamming the door on him.
