One hot summer day, a yellow Lupe named Naritakute was on her way to
the field to pick some flowers. She ran and ran until she was there. She
plopped down in the field of daisies and stared at the sky. She smiled
and slowly closed her eyes. She felt the wind blow hard as a chill came
up her spine. She opened her eyes to see that the sky was black.
She got up and ran back home. But she didn't know which way was home!
she was surrounded by the forest! She then felt someone behind her she
spun around and kicked with all her might. But nothing was there. "Hmmmm...I
wonder."
She walked on to the wood in front. The sky swirled with blacks and purples.
Naritakute felt a drop of cold water on her muzzle. She felt someone behind
her again. She got scared and turned around slowly to see a demon! She
screamed and ran off. She turned her head to see the thing running after
her as fast as it could run. Naritakute ran so fast, she never felt the
thorns jab into her feet and belly. She ran into a tree that knocked her
out. She forced her eyes open as the demon pounced on her. She rolled
over to her left side, dodging it. She jumped up and ran the way she came
from. She was back in the field.... Everything went to a dead silence.
Naritakute turned around looking behind her. The silence had an eerie
ring to it.
Then all of the sudden the demon came crashing out of the trees. The
yellow Lupe screamed and kept on running. Now she realized that she was
even deeper into the forest and even more lost. She stumbled over the
the edge of the cliff. She looked down to see a river that looked tiny.
She turned to see and angry demon running. Naritakute looked back down
at the long drop, and jumped. She felt the wind rush by. She then came
crashing into the cold water and hitting her head on a big rock that laid
in the middle of the quickly flowing river.
Naritakute passed out as the river took her away. When she awoke, the
sun was shinning brighter then ever. She got up slowly. Her head was throbbing
and bleeding. She looked around to see the sand she was laying on. She
looked at the river. The sky was an odd blue with a tint of pink. "Must
be morning. Where am I?" She said to herself as she walked around the
strange surroundings. She put her paws under the rivers water. She then
drank the water in her paws. It was cool and fresh. She dunked her whole
head under to drink up. She felt dehydrated. The water had a funny taste
to it now. Like...blood!
She swallowed it hard. The river was red from the blood. She felt her
head and took her paw away seeing the blood. She walked on. Leaving a
trail of blood behind. It was literally dripping from her head! Her paws
had cuts and thorns stuck in them. She walked slowly limping and bleeding.
Her eye was black, she had a rather deep gash on her head. Each paw had
at lest eleven thorns, and her back left leg was broken. But she still
walked on.
The trees rustled over her head. She looked up to see over a hundred
Eyries flying over. One landed next the Naritakute. Naritakute stumbled
back as the giant green Eyrie walked closer to her.
"What are you doing here?" The Eyrie had a loud booming voice that seemed
to shake the ground. Naritakute stood up bravely and growled.
"Leave me alone!"
The Eyrie looked not a bit impressed. "Why are you here?! Answer me now!!"
The Eyrie was angry with Naritakute.
He reared and got even closer to the yellow Lupe Naritakute didn't even
move a muscle. She was not afraid of this, thing!
"A demon chased me off the cliff a while back there."
The Eyrie reared up on its two back legs. He thumped back down and snorted
in the Lupe's face. "I see your blood trail."
Naritakute glared at him angrily. The Eyrie turned and flew away with
the others. The yellow Lupe bowed her head down a cried. The wind blew
harder then it ever had. Naritakute fell over. She was now on her side,
bleeding harder. She closed her eyes. She was tired and hurt. She was
about to give up. To leave it all right there. "I cant stop now. I've
gotten this far." She got up and raised her head to the sky. "I have the
rest of the day ahead of me. I might as well make the best of it."
She walked on to the desert. The sand burned her feet harshly. She winced
at the burn forming on her back. She fell once more to the ground. She
tried getting up, but it was no use. She heard something step in front
of her. She opened her eyes to see a white Lupe staring down at her. He
walked on. She got up and followed him. The wind blew and the sand flew
in front of her and made a thick blanket of sand. She turned to see a
herd of Kaus coming. She walked up to one that was green. "Excuse me but
do you know a way out of this desert?" The Kau yelled and reared up on
Naritakute. She growled. The other Kaus saw her and ran. Now it was a
stampede of Kaus!
Naritakute ran away from them. They were running after her, for she had
scared them. The moos roared across the desert sky. Naritakute ran on.
She turned to the Kaus. They had all stopped and turned around. Naritakute
cocked her head to one side. "Huh? What's going on?!" She heard the wind
blow hard behind her. She turned to see a tornado of sand! It was a sand
storm. The yellow Lupe ran on with all her might. She opened her eye as
sand flew into it. She yelled in pain and rubbed her eye with her yellow
paw. There was a clear in the sand. Naritakute opened her eyes. The white
Lupe was standing there in front of her. He turned slowly and walked on.
Naritakute felt a strange feeling in her side. She followed him. He never
turned to see her, and she stayed at least four feet away. Once the sand
storm calmed, she could see all around her. She looked to her left to
see sand for miles and miles. She looked in front of her. The white Lupe
was gone! But instead, there was grass and forests all around! She walked
into the field and took a drink from the cool crystal clear water. She
turned around. The desert was gone! Instead stood the White Lupe around
him was a forest.
The Lupe looked at Naritakute and turned around. Naritakute ran after
him. His figure disappeared into thin air. Naritakute stopped dead in
her tracks. A howl came up from the distance. It was another Lupe She
walked back to the river and saw a tail of blood. And paw prints. It was
Naritakute's trail and paw prints! She followed them and saw where the
Eyrie had landed. She ran to the side of the river. Then she saw the cliff
which she fell from. The rock in the river she landed on. She looked
around frantically trying to find a way up the cliff. She ran to one side
of it where the ground went up slightly. She walked up the side, digging
her paws in the dirt. She jumped back up to the top. She walked on.
She walked on and on and on! She finally reached a field with daisy's!
"I'm back!" She yelled, spinning around in the field. She felt that strange
feeling when you fell like someone is behind you. She turned to see the
demon, for the last time. She growled at it and lunged forward. As did
the demon. Naritakute bit at it and tore at it with she paws. The demon
threw her off. Naritakute went flying miles back. She jumped back up to
her feet.
Her head was dripping red once more. She held it and pressed. She looked
at the demon. She jumped on it and attacked the thing. The demon tossed
her off and pounced on her. Naritakute felt her leg crack. She yelled
as a pink ring formed in front of her. She grabbed it and it turned into
a star. The star went inside of Naritakute's heart. She yelled as a pink
ball formed. The demon backed up and watched. Naritakute gave one more
yell as the pink ball flew into the demon. It gave out and eerie scream
and blew apart.
Naritakute herd the birds chirp. The sky went back to its original colour.
Naritakute smiled and walked into the forest. She walked on not knowing
where she was going. She smelt smoke. She smiled and ran faster then she
ever had. Her body glowed yellow as she soared through the trees. She knocked
over the giant rocks and tore the trees to the side. She stopped and saw
her home!
She smiled and ran to the door. She slammed on it hard. Her mother, Firehalo,
opened the door. Naritakute smiled and jumped into Firehalo's arms. "Where
have you been?!" Naritakute smiled and told Firehalo the whole story. Her
mom looked surprised. She put the ice pack on Naritakute's head. Naritakute
sat on the floor with a ice pack on her head, all four feet in a bucket
of hot water, and an ace bandage wrap on her back left leg.
The next day, Naritakute, her mom, and her sister, Rysamy, all went to
the Neopian vet. Naritakute got a cast on her back leg. "Naritakute, do
me a favor. Go to the field and pick me some daisies. Oh, and take Rysamy
with you." Rysamy jumped up and down. "Let's go Naritakute!" Naritakute
rolled her eyes and fell over.
