When Blue Kacheek moved to Neopia, she was rather worried. “I hope that
I will be able to make friends quickly,” she said as she unlocked the
door to her new home.
At first Blue Kacheek was busy settling in. She moved the furniture
around until everything was exactly in the correct place. Later, she hung
up new curtains, placed ornamentals and filled her vases with beautiful
flowers.
“How calm everything looks!" exclaimed the Blue Kacheek as a smile
touched her lips. “It is very quiet in Neopia World, I wonder how am I
suppose to make friends?” she thought as she gazed out of the window into
the empty street. Suddenly, something hit her.
“Oh… yes, a party! I shall invite everyone to a party and I will be
able to make a lot of friends,” Blue Kacheek cried happily.
So, she began to write out piles and piles of invitation cards. Then,
she ran up and down the street popping the cards into every letterbox.
After giving away all the cards, Blue Kacheek decided to spend the rest
of the evening tidying up her front garden by mowing the lawn, sweeping
the path, planting flowers and finally fixing the house numbers back on
the gate as they had fallen off.
Early in the next morning, Blue Kacheek had already baked cakes and biscuits.
She had also decorated the living room with balloons and colourful streamers.
Last of all, she puts on her party dress and waited patiently for the
guests to arrive. Blue Kacheek waited and waited, but there was not a
single soul to be seen. Blue Kacheek was so disappointed that she decided
to remove all the decorations. When she was removing the balloons from
the windows, she saw a crowd of NeoPets walking past her gate with armfuls
of presents and cards.
Blue Kacheek was so shocked that she ran out of the house and questioned
the mob. “Where are you all going to?”
“ To the Blue Kacheek party,” answered a furry Wocky as he walked past
the gate and waved the invitation card right in front of her face.
“But…the party is over here, where are you going?”
“You lived in Number 69, the card reads Number 96.”
Immediately, Blue Kacheek went to look at the front gate where the house
numbers were posted on. After looking at the house numbers, she realized
that she must have put the numbers on the wrong way.
After clearing the misunderstanding, all the NeoPets had arrived at the
correct house and Blue Kacheek was busy serving the guest and making new
friends.
