The Sad Price of a Carrot

I've just checked the Shop Wizard, and the lowest price of a carrot is 22 NP. The highest is 1000 NP. Now let me ask a good question. Would you, owner of maybe about 15,000 NP, buy a carrot for 1000 NP? Well, would you even buy a carrot for 22 NP? I wouldn't want to, but hey, the real stores made by the people that created NeoPets only restock about every 7 minutes. So, citizens go to the trusty Shop Wizard, and what does he give them? A carrot for 1000 NP.

Now, maybe for something worth it, such as a PetPet, you could spend maybe 1000 NP. But when your NeoPets are dying, and you go for a cheap food item, most type in "Carrot" and expect a carrot for about 10 NP, or maybe even cheaper. But no. The person gets a 20 NP carrot. I am not EXTREMELY poor, I have enough NP to care for my pets, but what if a poorer Neopian (i.e. ME a couple weeks ago) come along, maybe with 84 NP (i.e. ME a couple weeks ago) in his account, two starving pets (i.e. ME a couple weeks ago), and looked up "Carrot" on the Shop Wizard. The Shop Wizard pops up with a 58 NP carrot. No matter how hard this Neopian tries, the price either goes down maybe 4 NP, or up to 999,999 NP!!!!! The person leaves and goes to spend his measly NP betting on BlackJack to make more.

This brings me to the second part of this.....the richer Neopians (sorry, MaDhAtTeR and Mari Jhane, can't keep you guys a secret anymore) don't help at all. Look, if I had 999,999 NP to spend on a notice for the Notice Board, I wouldn't PUT a message up! For goodness sake, put a carrot up for 10 NP instead of a zillion! Geez! Right now, I, the owner of a couple thousand NP, am selling a carrot for 15 NP because YOU GUYS have decided, "forget poor Neopians, let's sell a carrot for 70,000 NP!"

If you sold a carrot maybe ONCE or TWICE for 5 NP, we could ALL lower prices to beat you guys on the Shop Wizard, and THEN........ Ta-Dah!!!!!! The price of a carrot is now 10 NP again! NOT VERY HARD, IS IT NOW???? And what I said before, I'm down to a couple thousand NP, I do NOT mean 125,000 NP! I mean barely 2,000 NP!!!! And that is the case for a LOT of Neopians!!!!!!!! Well, hope you change your ways!
